    Raised garden bed
    Tony M.

The re-store is a must visit place for most any homeowner. Over the years I've found so many building materials, paint, fasteners, electrical fixtures, Plumbing fixtures, wood trim, windows, Doors, OMG the door section there's so many doors to choose from. Interior doors, entry doors, solid doors, bi-fold doors, windowed doors and most any other door you could imagine. I even got metal doors for exterior entries. They do a great service so these materials and fixtures and even paint don't end up at the landfill, as they are reusable then functionable items. They even build useful things such as chicken coops and raised garden beds that someone could find useful.

Very creative lamp made of old lamp parts!

You never know what you might find here in the way of recycled items. I am always amazed at the vast selection of everything from tools, lumber, furniture, lamps, blinds...plus all parts and accessories to go with all of these. Today I purchased a kitchen cabinet door which I will turn into a piece of wall art. Seems like I always manage to find an item that sparks my imagination and creative urges!

New handrail for our garage stairs, less than five bucks at the restore!

Limited selection of good and very overpriced. Did not felt welcome by staff. Sad they couldn't be more welcoming .

Be careful when you buy from the restore, they don't give refunds only store credit and they don't give you your tax back.

Fun to go see what's there. On the way to home depot I stop here and see what I can get for almost nothing for my project. TOM B

They really do have a little of everything here. The store has a good layout and its easy to navigate each department. I especially like that the shelves are not too high for me to reach. Being 5' 2", this is sometimes a challenge. The customer service is great. Sales associate Daniel (who I have had the most interactions with) is friendly, knowledgeable and is always able to answer my toughest questions. This store also serves free popcorn, and who doesn't like that! *Ace also deserves an honorable mention for their help with the local cat rescue organization. Be sure to check out the enclosure at the front of the store. They rotate kitties through in hopes of drumming up interest for adoption. ********************************************* If you like this review, please give it a thumbs up and follow me for more epic reviews. Once again this Ace Hardware failed to help and treat customers with respect. I reviewed this store…read moreover one year ago and it's still the same crappy store with crappy unhappy and mean staff. Nobody seems happy to be there and it's a hassle for them to assist you. At all cost, stay away from this store and travel to Lynden or even Bellingham Ace Hardware. You will be much happier. Sorry Ferndale Ace Hardware, your store just sucks.

Confession: I don't brew my own beer. I prefer to drink my beer the old fashioned way, by heading…read moredown to the brewery and ordering a pint! However, a certain-special-someone in my life recently took on this fascinating hobby and I, being the loyal-and-devoted-spouse, took it upon myself to visit North Corner with him on a recent supply trip. (Okay, that's a lie. He "just happened" to stop by there while we were running errands and I had two choices: either wait in the freezing cold car or go in with him. So I went in. THIS, as Ma Ingalls would say, is marriage.) But I digress. North Corner is a really cool place! Just spending some time in there made me think, hmmm, maybe I *could* possibly considering giving some thought to someday pondering brewing my own beer. They have everything you could possibly need to do this (and a lot of things you probably don't need but would love to buy anyway - just like any good hobby store). From recipes posted on the wall to bottling equipment, you could walk in here with nothing and walk out with enough stuff to start your own brewery (well, in your garage at least). The guy at the counter is also super-helpful - always a bonus when you're in new territory. If I post a pic of my super-awesome-amazing homemade brew in a few weeks you know it worked!

Last fall I went around to at least 6 wine supply stores in Skagit and Whatcom and settled on getting all my supplies from here. The reasons are simple: The owner was the most helpful and didn't try to sell me the high-end stuff, the mark-up was less than all the other shops, the big equipment you need is free to use when you buy your grapes through them and prices quoted for grapes were very competitive. I ended up buying 3 wine kits through them because we were too late in the fall to get grapes but so far so good. I'm completely satisfied with the wine we produced which worked out to $2.55 to $4.33 a bottle. The price of the kits was significantly less than the exact same kits at other shops and the wines produced compare to $9 to $24 a bottle retail. Next fall we are looking forward to making wine from grapes. In the meantime I think I'll try making a couple batches of beer!
