They have their pick of inventory brought to their door at no cost, they may or may not sell the goods, and if so, keep 60% of what they sell it for. When you bring stuff in, you can opt for either the return of unsold items or they will donate such unsold stuff to a charity reseller, likely picked up at no cost to Labels. As I said, a great business model. Our interactions with staff have been friendly enough, as long as one can stand having some of their treasures rejected for resale. If you choose the "donate" route, there is no accountability, which leaves me wondering. When you bring stuff in, they are pretty picky, which is good for all. It is not a junk shop. The downside/upside is that they sell things at generally reasonable prices. Great if you're buying, not so great if you're selling. But hey, it's perhaps a better way to clean your cupboards and closets and make a few bucks than the hassle of holding a garage sale. My main gripe is that my wife usually spends more when we drop stuff off than she takes in from the sale of things. Oh well.....

I now own seven of their skirts: two mini and five regular length (just below the knee). I wear them in warm weather with bare legs, and all winter with sweater tights. At the office and on weekends. With flats, boots, and heels. I also have a pair of Posh Pants that I'm fond of, though that style is less versatile. Their hemp fabric with four-way stretch is amazing stuff. It holds its shape, sways nicely when you move, and takes color well. It's neither too heavy nor too thin. Unlike many other knits, it doesn't fade, pill, or cling. The amount of "give" is also just right, and seems miraculously figure-flattering for all body types. It packs well and doesn't wrinkle, so is perfect for travel. Texture is a bit pricier than some other clothing, but I've found it to be worth every penny, particularly when thinking in terms of cost-per-wear. I live on the east coast and (unfortunately) don't make it to the Pacific northwest very often, so I haven't been to Texture's storefront. Sometimes I have found their products locally in Maryland (e.g. at Nest), but I've also ordered online and I love dealing directly with Teresa and her staff, not some impersonal corporate ordering system. Yesterday my mother-in-law and I experienced TERRIBLE customer service from an employee. She seemed bothered that she had to check us out. No small talk or smile. I asked her a simple question, and it must have been out of her "script" because I got a long blank stare and then a condescending tone. A couple of other times shopping there the customer service was "lackluster" at best but not outright rude like this one incident. Other than this one bad experience I will come back. I was at Bellis Fair with my mother and my grandmother and they wanted to buy bath towels. Once they were ready to pay, they lined up at the cashier. We hadn't been waiting for very long but a bit of a line was starting to form (there were 2 or 3 people ahead of us) but staff was very quick to open additional tills to minimize the wait. My mother's purchase was a little complicated as she wanted to pay for the items separately, but the sales associate was very patient and accommodating despite the fact that other customers were waiting (additional tills were opened to help them as well). The store is clean and well organized and they often have great deals. Based on my experience, I will add Kohl's to my list of places to check out when I'm at Bellis Fair.
