Well it was going ok till I got to check out, but I'll start at the beginning- they do not have…read moreenough carts for starters, they have 3 or 4 total and then a few flat bed trolly carts which isn't easy for those with limited mobility, but while that was annoying it wasn't a deal breaker- some of the stuff is a good deal especially if you don't have a Costco membership but it's still pretty comparable to Safeway/winco if you are good with clipping coupons- obviously this place is more for bulk and such but has a lot for the ordinary house hold- found my coffee syrups and a few other things and headed to the register- we did start at the little red triangle that says line starts here but as lines go just kept following the person in front of me- now the cashier stepped away dealing with the customers in front of me (who i was following from the red triangle sign) she comes back looks at me and says the line starts at the red triangle, trying to signal me to move to the back of the line- that wasn't gonna happen, I said yeah I know I just moved forward- got a blank stare and she continued with the customer in front of me- when I got to the reg like 1.5mins later it was very lack luster in service, I did decline a small box but would have though she could have helped loaded my few items into the cart to help move the process and as I walk with a mobility aid which takes one of hands, help out a person who has limited mobility but I'm assuming since she thought I cut the line even tho I didn't she wanted to have a tude about it which sucks cus we were talking about coming back and stocking up on a few things that peaked our interest but I'll go to winco and Costco if this is how your gonna treat your customers-

I thought I might do my bit to remedy that for my own local, seeing as how they are doing a pretty good job. When I come in, I'm nearly always greeted personally by one of the staff. The service in the pharmacy is efficient and knowledgeable, and they have gone the extra mile on several occasions to interact with my healthcare provider in getting me taken care of. The store is clean and organized, but poorly stocked. I get the impression they are perpetually in the midst of downsizing, and it feels a little early-Covid/Soviet Union with isles of mostly-empty shelves and little selection. That's the only detracting factor, and the missing star. They got it going on where it really counts: customer service and pharmacy efficiency. You could do a WHOLE lot worse in Bellingham - I'm looking at YOU, Walgreens... Recommended.

In the Past it had been cumbersome or irradict,even can be nerveracking Patience I'm told is a virtue but if you have a line leading out of the store and around the corner is and was not a good thing. They are okay at what they've done in the past tense is exactly that past tense Today when I got there before there lunch break be mindful that the pharmacist need to take a break for at least a half hour in which is normal in the State of Wa. and with the amount of customers they have or the volume of customers that need whatever they need to fill is enormous. In any given day they will make sure you get your prescriptions filled when they are ready,you should get a text message or email when you should or could be able to pick your scripts up,the date,time,hour.Do call before you leave your home and ask if its ready so,you don't want to wait! In any event the Pharmacist that work there has been much much more efficient in that they will fill your prescription or other at the time they text or email you . Note that you should give them there windows of time to make your purchase in a timely fashion to get what you need. In which is again best when you get the text or email for you and it is ready no hassle,no long lines just in and out. The people that you should ask for that are extremely efficient are Tim,Kim,Lauren,Basil and Harppreet. My experience with these folks is awesome. Yesterday I recieved a text message from the Pharmacy stating my prescription is ready ,so today they went out of there way to fill my prescription in about 5 Minutes flat. I did show my text message to let them know they sent it and they gave me my prescription readily. I was only there for 5 minutes flat,in and out! Due to the true fact they are definitely improving there performance,customer service,knowledge of your prescription due date and any adjustment let them know. They have all your information in there computer system so don't worry don't panic just read your text messages from them,call them first,then you will get your prescriptions without a wait or behind. They are only human like everyone but there can be an overload when you do not know or find out when your prescription is actually ready Hint:If you go through these steps you be a much happier customer at Fred Meyer Pharmacy on 800 Lakeway Drive Bellingham,Wa I now give them 5 Stars I would like to thank Deston who works in Check out Mrg in whom helped me with a purchase I had 2 packages of steaks and I was very disturbed by the a ringing when I was exiting,I walked back in and Deston removed the alarm off my purchase I know its annoying and very embarrassing when you purchase something with of course and have you receipt and then your leaving and an ringing is not cool. Then I'm told it will be ready "soon" and that I'll receive another notification, only to come back again and still have it not ready. This has been a consistent problem for the entire six months I've been using this pharmacy. Not once has my prescription been ready on time or handled correctly. I understand pharmacies can be understaffed, but the level of disorganization and lack of communication here is unbelievable. I would give zero stars if I could. I will absolutely be transferring my prescriptions somewhere else.
