Have you been here recently? They have destroyed what makes Haggen worth shopping there. Everything prepackaged, no meat counter, seafood, deli, etc. We absolutely won't shop at this branch of Haggen again. Period. read more

This unique shopping center is large, convenient and fun ! Located right off the freeway, I find myself here often. Locals appreciate the one-stop shopping and travelers can make a quick pit stop or enjoy a leisurely lunch and shopping. -$$$ store -Haggen -REI/Ace Hardware -Starbucks/Woods -Busara/Sehome Diner/Ginger Boat -Master Cuts -UPS store and much more read more

Terribly disappointing. The recent remodel of the Haggen Sehome store is sincerely disturbing. Upon entering, it feels unwelcoming and sterile, void of human contact and interaction. Recently, while visiting the store, I observed an exchange between a group of visiting company "suits" and a customer. When the woman inquired about the massive changes, one man in the group offered comments like, "Aren't they wonderful? Now you can come in and just grab and go. So convenient". Further dialogue made me realize the man was either totally oblivious and/or really had no desire to care about the customer's true shopping experience. In my opinion, it exhibited a total disregard for the customer base. I am a cook. I do not go to a grocery store to "grab and go". I am there to select specific ingredients. If I wanted to grab a sandwich and a bag of chips to eat in the park, I would go to a mini-mart. After the remodel, I can no longer request custom-sliced thick pieces of turkey breast or a salmon filet cut to my preference or TWO pieces of fried chicken legs (not six as is pre-packaged). If other Haggen stores are going to be the recipient of such poorly thought-out changes, my decades long loyalty will come to an end. My patronage of Haggens will cease. The experience will simply not be worth the disappointment and frustration. read more

Okay, so there's two parts of this review to consider. One, the store, which really sucks. Two, the businesses around it which are awesome (as far as I know). So, the Haggen's store is absolutely terrible. Their food is shitty, and they don't make anything well there. Seriously everything me and my friends bought while we were on our trip there was terrible in some way shape or form. Other than the 2 dollar bottle of water I bought as opposed to the 1 dollar bottle of ice my friend bought thinking it was water. So yea, don't go to the store. But hey! The shopping area on the other hand... They are much better. They have SO many options if you go to the little area to the side. From Insomnia Cookies to Pho 36 they have a ton of neat little local small businesses that are amazing. They also have your well known restaurants too, such as Dominos and Starbucks. Definitely a much better experience than the shopping center we went to the day before in north bend. read more

Home to everything from juggernauts like Haggen and REI to small restaurants like Busara and Sehome Diner, Sehome Village Shopping Center is a true one-stop-shop for pretty much anything you could ever need. I appreciate that I can grab groceries at Haggen, stop for stuff at Rite-Aid, meander into Pet Stop for dog accessories, zip into the Dollar Tree for cheap birthday cards, and peruse REI for $300 hiking boots - all while sipping on a giant Starbucks from one of their TWO locations within the village! And if I get hungry, there are three restaurants to fill my tummy. Parking is a breeze here - it's one of the better laid out shopping centers in town. If only they had a spot for sushi, my life would be complete. read more

They have completely ruined this store. The service counters are all gone and everything is now packaged. The new layout is terrible. The deli, bakery, and meat counter were what made Haggen worth choosing over other stores and they eliminated all of it. I used to shop here multiple times weekly because I live a couple minutes walk away. I now get into my car and drive over to Trader Joe's or Fred Meyer or Fairhaggen because sehome haggen is a travesty. read more

The bakery is AMAZING. We were Looking for a very unique birthday cake. So we ordered a photo icing online, and took it to the Haggen bakery. They made us probably the most delicious carrot cake we've ever had put our cake topper on it and then decorated the cake in such a unique and incredibly beautiful way. We were just blown away. Nimh the cake decorator is so talented and wonderful. We will go back every time for all of our special occasions. read more

We stood awkwardly waiting. The person beating the carpets walls in from back with gloves still on and pushes past us. Doesn't say a word. Stands in front of register and just stares loathing us. Awesome start. I ask if this is where we order food. She nods. I say I'd like to place an order for here. She says at this time they're only doing takeout. We are far from home, don't want to eat in car. We see patrons eating with seating available. She stands silently holding her broom with rbf permanent on face seemingly annoyed I interrupted her night. At this point exhausted with the exchange, I just want food. We keep the order simple to get out of this insufferable person's aura. But wait, problems with order. I don't even remember the full interaction after that at this point but I remember them saying they ran out of meats so there was chicken or vegetable. I'm sure that's someone's choice but not ours. It's not even worth trying to make it work. I remember trying to kill with kindness because maybe she's just having a day but once we changed our minds and decided to leave, couldn't believe it was possible to get icier. I feel bad for people like that. This woman seemed to hate her job and people. This is the only impression we will ever have of this place. Will never come back. I'm sure the food is edible but honestly wouldn't trust it. Looks dirty in there. She was still wearing the carpet beating gloves at the register. Idk about Bellingham code but hope they pass for yalls sake. There were seemingly a million and one places to get Mexican food in Bellingham. Choose a place where they treat you right and you're not afraid the register lady is going to sabotage your food and no one will break into your car looking for drugs. We ended up going to a fantastic Mexican restaurant with the best food and despite it being 20 mins to close over at that place, they were so kind and amazing. And the ambiance was so wonderful. If you have to choose, pick literally anywhere else.

Even though it was a Saturday morning (it was super packed) we still found a table to sit at and were able to enjoy everything. We came back a couple of days later, but we missed the food (the kitchen closes at a specific time) so we ended up getting coffee to go. I'd put this place on my list of favorite coffee shops to eat at in PNW!
