Buyer BEWARE! This Target is out to SCREW you! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE! I bought my husband a nearly $90.00 shaver for a Christmas present for my husband and of course, got a gift receipt just in case he didn't like it. Well turns out...the shaver sucked..so we attempted to return it with the gift receipt. Now this is where all the madness happens. I give them the shaver and the gift receipt. They scan both and say "huh, the gift receipt has no item on it. This shaver is not on the gift receipt." So they ask to scan the debit card I used to purchase it with and they tell me "huh, and we don't have that you purchased it with this card". (Which I did because I only have 1 debit card and I don't use credit cards for typical purchases) So, after me looking at them very crossed, they say they can give me a store credit. Once they realize the item is over their credit limit of $70, they slide the receipts and item back to me basically telling me I'm SOL and stuck with a $90 piece of crap. I asked the associate "so you're telling me, that when I buy a gift here, I need to tell your cashiers to rescan my gift receipt to make sure that my purchase is on the gift receipt, I need to have them verify that they have my debit card in the system to link my purchase to my card, and I need to make sure that MY gift receipt is legit before leaving the store?! All I did was come in as a normal customer and made a normal purchase! Why should I be treated like I did something wrong and get screwed out $90!?" Then they said that I could go get another shaver for the same price and swap it out. But I didn't want another shaver, I wanted my money back so that my Hubby can go get something he really wanted. I asked them if I'd be stuck with another shaver if I did that, coz that is not what I want. Reluctantly the manager tells me that she will give me store credit, but first I gotta go get another shaver of equal value, they will scan it in as a trade for the shaver I was returning, and then they'd return the 2nd shaver in order to give me store credit. So I'm running around the store looking for a shaver for the same price...all sold out of course...then I find 2 items that in total only come up to 1c less than my original purchase. Nope, not acceptable, they make me go back and forth, back and forth bringing them items. Finally by the 3rd try, we find 2 items totaling $1.08 more than my original purchase...now they were satisfied, the swap was made and I got my store credit. This only took 1 hour to accomplish!!! WTF! Seriously! What kind of messed up, crooked place is this!? Save your self from going insane and just purchase your gifts or anything that you might need to return somewhere else. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS TARGET!!! They seriously have sticks up their asses, like someone else said. At least the managers do. The employee, Sophia, who initially tried to help me with the return was apologetic and a sweetie. She's the only thing that kept me from going postal on Target's ass. And seriously, I'm a very easy going person. Thanks Sophia for not letting the Satan come out of me. read more

The customer service department is a JOKE. I bought a refrigerator though them and wanted to recover my receipt and they told me there's nothing they can do yelled at me and we're complete jerks to me over the phone. I had to ask for corporates number and I got my receipt through them in less then 5 minutes. You would think instead of yelling and being rude they would've just gave me the number for corporate apologized and called it a day but no it was a yelling match with a sarcastic tone the whole time. Target corporate was very helpful and professional but this isn't the first time target in Baldwin park has provided the worst service. If anyone needs to recover a receipt don't waste your time with customer service just call corporate. read more

Not all Targets are made equal and this one is one of them. First of all I hate that every time I go into the parking lot I feel like I'm in some type of video game and trying to dodge idiots with shopping carts. When you first walk in it's like any typical Target. You see the door, you see the carts but then you meet their customer service line and let me tell you, their customer service is lacking. On a few occasions I would walk up and down an asile in search of an item and a worker is restocking. Never once did they look up and asked if they can help me locate anything but I love how they have time to play on their damn iphones. Seriously? Oh and return policy. I have a receipt, I have an unopen item, so what the heck is the problem? You have past the return day policy. The hell? I said I never read my receipt and there's nothing there in the front that told me I had 30 days or what not. I have a fan I don't need take the flippin' thing back?! After arguing with customer service finally a manager comes out and I said fine, well let's say I have no receipt what's the return policy then? Well you get it for the price in the system and store credit only. Then when she tried that it turns out they only want to give it to me for $10 when I bought the damn thing for $35. Went this afternoon to pick up my normal supplies. Vanessa was the clerk who rang me up. Yes that's about all she did. No hi! NO Thank you! Vanessa just placed my receipt on the counter. I came to Target today with my future mother in law, my fiancé and my baby girl. We went there because we needed baby food. Mind you I'm on WIC so I grabbed everything I needed, and as we get up to the cashier (a blonde wearing a striped shirt) started scanning even though she saw my folder on her little shelf by the Keypad. I said I had WIC, and then she was like "oh" and took my check and didn't even check my folder. She scanned my daughters rice cereal, and then the baby food. And for some reason our baby food wasn't scanning. My fiancé and I simply told the cashier that this happened last time and that a manager had to override it. She then asked "did it say WIC at the bottom" sarcastically, almost everything in that baby isle has WIC on it, plus it wasn't my first time at the rodeo. She then started questioning her other coworker Rayleen and she explained her situation, and then we also explained to her we had to call a manager to override the food. Rayleen just shrugged her shoulders and continued helping her guests instead of telling our cashier to call the manager. The girl that was helping us just continued to say are you sure these were wic approved, and then said there's no way to do it. By this time I was furious. I wasn't going to stand there and go back in forth with her. So we said never mind, we will go to food 4 less instead. I will be calling the manager tomorrow, because this is ridiculous. Not only did she make me feel like an idiot in line, they also follow us around and question us if we have formula in our basket. Like we're actually going to steal our daughters food. Even though it's almost 11pm they were still nice and helpfulPeople were restocking inventory and they have worked their buns off all day but and were still very nice. Better selections and their return lines move faster then other targets. Parking can be a little chaotic but other then that it's all good here. read more

I live in the Covina area, so i usually shop at the West Covina location. I was shopping for my sisters baby shower present but unfortunatelty they were sold out of a GRACO playpen and GRACO stroller set I wanted. So i figure going to the Baldwin Park location, to see if they had any in stock. I have to admit, this Target is much smaller than the other Targets I've been to. It was the weekend and it was a little messy, so i can probably understand. But the store did seem a little disorgainzed as well. I went the baby department started looking for my items. I was upset to see that the playpen I was looking for was OUT OF STOCK again. A little upset that I was thinking i had to go on a search rampage. So i asked the employee in the electronics department to help me. He said he wasn't familiar with the department but he will call someone else to help me. I waited about 2 minutes before another employee approached me. She was alot younger and thought she wasn't going to know anything about baby products. But turns out...i was completely wrong! She was extremely helpful! She checked in the back to see if they had the playpen and turns out they had it! She called the backroom and had them pull it! I was extremely happy. I even asked her for a couple more items on my list like diapers, onesies, blankets. She was very quick and very knowlegdable! Then we kind of started small talk, turns out...shes a MOM! Which is a plus because I dont have kids...so she gave her opinions on what the best diapers and bottles were. When they pulled out the playpen, she put it my cart. After done helping me, she told me if i needed anything else, she would be in the same area putting away go backs. I went to go grab a wicker basket and came back to the department to start creating a basket for my sister. I attempted to try to make it as cute as possible...I had a little bit of doubt, so went back to the same employee and asked her opinion. She told me, instead of a wicker basket...I should use a laundry basket. (Who would've have thunk? Lol.) It seemed like a great idea! She took a couple minutes to help me put together the basket and it came out amazing! She had really good taste. Before I left I thanked her and asked for her name. Her name was Deborah. After checking out, I told one of the cashiers in front for the manager but I guess the manager was nowhere to be found. When I gave my sister the present...she was so excited of how many things I got her! Best present idea ever. read more

Eh this target is okay and I come here every once in a while to grab some food and school supplies. It's not the greatest target that I've been to but at the same time I don't think that it's the worst either. I usually come here at night time or when there isn't too many people so I manage to avoid the crowd of people and long lines and it is a bit messy here and there but I don't think this place is 2 stars as is shown. I have been going to this target since I was little and I would come here again since it's so close to my house. But other than that I think all in all this target is okay. read more

Irresponsible Workers! I called and asked if a pair of lashes were available in the store. I waited like 20 minutes for them to go check, and finally when the worker came back on the phone, he said that they have it and that there was approximately 4 pairs left. Thinking that they would be gone, I called my mom to go buy them right away because I was not close by. When she arrived, she didnt find a SINGLE PAIR of those lashes (ardell wispies). So she called me, and I called the store again. The phone operator went to find the worker that i had previously spoke to. That worker LIED and said that he had told me there was none left! I SURELY HEARD THAT THERE WERE BECAUSE I EVEN ASKED HOW MANY!!! TIME IS PRECIOUS! And because of that irresponsible worker, mu mom had just wasted hers. read more

I came in when they first opened on Saturday, the store was clean, there was no waiting, and the cashier was very friendly. She said this is the perfect time to shop. No telling what it's like during peak hours... I like the fact that I looked for the item I wanted online and it told me the aisle number, that really cut down on wandering around the store looking for something I don't normally buy. read more
