I usually don't lean towards these types of drinks but I got the Lava Green Thai Tea because it was on their top 10 menu. The drink was really good! My boyfriend and I stumbled upon Aiyu Cha mostly on an impromptu date, and I can say that I enjoyed the boba cafe very much! Their costs are on the pricier side for boba, especially in Westmin where I feel like there are a lot of options for boba, but the service was very lovely and the drinks were yummy. The interior was what really wowed me though. They have a lot of bunny themed decor, and a lot of really beautiful wood grain items to decorate. Aiyu Cha is also located conveniently inside of a grander shopping plaza, so we got our boba and walked around (there's a Daiso and H-Mart nearby, as well). I got their peach green tea with boba, and my boyfriend got their tiramisu milk tea with boba. Again, no complaints on the flavor or anything, it was just on the pricier side of milk teas/teas that I'm usually comfortable paying for. I stumbled upon Aiyu Cha for some pick me up on a Saturday afternoon. The ambiance felt chill with some nostalgic items on display. I ordered a Strawberry Yakult Tea with Aiyu Jelly. (Of course I wanted to try their aiyu jelly as they're living up to their name). My order was ready within 5 minutes. I really like the natural Strawberry flavor, paired with a slice of strawberry and the chunks of chewy aiyu jelly. Adding $1.10 for toppings seemed a bit pricey compared to other boba shops. The taste was almost identical to Ding Tea and Yifang (which is a compliment) because it the flavors were natural and authentic. Next time, I will opt to try their milk teas, Twilight Taro milk and slushies with soy milk. Thankfully, they offer dairy alternatives such as soy and oat milk (for $1 more). Nice abs clean store, easy to read menu with plenty options, well displaced for what availability. Great service (new staff) and not bad for turned around since she was learning on how to make the drink. You got options on level of sweet, and so forth. Rose green milk tea at regular sweet (75%) less ice was ok, it kinda just tasted like a milk candy. It tasted heavily of creamer, and I wished I had gotten 50% sweet just so I can get more tea coming through each sip. I did taste a bit of a floral flavor, but it's too subtle when the sweetness drowns it out. Maybe it would taste light and refreshing at the lowest level of sweetness, but I don't think I'd come back to experiment with that, or even to try other drinks. I ordered at a kiosk, but you can also order with the barista at the register. My drink took some time to come out, but there were a few people ahead of me, and there was only one guy doing everything. He was flying at 100mph taking orders, making drinks, and checking up on things, going through the motions like a robot haha. I was hoping he washed his hands in-between tasks, cuz I didn't see him wear gloves. If I'm unsure or uncomfortable about it, it's another reason why I wouldn't come back. If you order no sugar (yes no sugar), you get the full taste of the tea and toppings without having a full blast of sugar in your mouth. I got the Cheesy Ube with crystal boba because I love cheese foam, ube and crystal boba, so what could go wrong you might ask? Well everything! They also no longer offer remakes/refund if you don't like your drink, which is something they made sure to emphasize upfront. This new policy makes me question how many people have needed to ask for a remake/refund before they had to tell every customer right away. I wanted to update my review since its been years since my last review. I am grateful that Aiyu Cha exists nearby me. I still come frequently for my boba fix. They make one of the best boba balls in the area. The balls are nicely sweet, chewy and made to perfection. Their drink menu also has a wide variety from milky drinks, fruit teas, ice blended, and coffees. I like that they have plenty options for non-caffeinated as well. My absolutely favorite drink here is their Lava Milk tea which you cannot adjust sweetness. However, I like that is is made by default not too sweet. Also it comes with boba and is delicious. I also like their twilight taro milk that is made with real taro. Most drinks here you can adjust sweetness and ice level. Besides their amazing drinks they also have Kokonut pudding which is so good if you have never tried them. The sesame Kokonut is my absolutely favorite. They also have ice cream macarons as well. The only downside to this place is its smaller. There are few tables and chairs but its not really a place to hang out since it gets pretty loud in there and sometimes people are standing to wait for their drinks. Also no bathrooms.
