Nice Taco stop between Austin and San Antonio + if you need to charge your electric car, there is a tesla charger. It is a legit Mexican food truck. They have all the regulars plus drinks. There are two tables in front that you can seat. My fav is the street tacos where you get 5 tacos with your choice or meat of course you gotta go with Carne Ambiance is HEB parking lot :) solid choice for tacos, torta ans typical mexican comfort food.

Charging the same for smaller tacos..so sad but this's the last time I buy from this place.

This place used to be one of my absolute favorites, and honestly, it still has the potential to be -- but something has changed, and not for the better. The tacos here were once incredible. Big, generous tortillas packed with flavor, and the price felt completely fair for what you were getting. I never had a problem spending my money here because I felt like I was getting real value. But on my last visit, I noticed the tortillas have gotten noticeably smaller -- and somehow the price has gone up. I want to be clear: I have no problem paying more for good food. Prices go up, costs go up, I get it. But when you're paying MORE and getting LESS, that's where it becomes hard to justify coming back. The quality of the food itself may still be there, but shrinkflation is a real thing, and loyal customers notice. This place has earned a lot of love from me over the years, which is exactly why this review comes from a place of disappointment, not anger. I hope they reconsider, because the loyal customers who built this place up deserve better than smaller portions at higher prices.

I went to their #2 food truck by the HEB off 306. I've seen them parked there often and we decided to try it. I got the 3 quesabirria tacos and husband got the mini tacos with chicken. The consume was so delicious. Husband kept putting his tacos in it! There was one cook and one person to take orders. They were are gracious and pleasant. We decided to eat on one of their shaded tables. It was lovely. They had some music playing and the tables were clean. A wonderful meal.

While in town for a business trip we ran across this place absolutely a must try. We ended going there twice. First time I got the asada quesadilla it was packed with flavor and so much meat I could only eat two slices lol.. the next time I got the taco plate an absolute smash ! I'd like thinner slices on the radish and cucumbers .. wish I got pictures. They service was great even with the language barrier. And they have picnic tables with umbrellas if you want to stay an eat and enjoy the fresh air.

Okay so we are visiting Texas and I was determined to find a good taco truck! And yesss this is a pretty great truck with great food! Everything came out quickly, hot, fresh and tastes absolutely AMAZING!!!! And bonus points it's next to a Tesla charging station. So charge your car and get some authentic Tex Mex!!! I wanted to share a heartfelt thank you to the food stand team from Taquitos Tepa at the Easter Seals Family Engagement event today. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared, but what truly stood out was the level of care and accommodation. My child has Celiac disease and must strictly avoid gluten, including any cross-contact. Your accommodation allowed my child to feel included rather than left out, which means more than I can express. Thank you for not only serving great food, but for creating an inclusive experience. This is my second time trying them. First time I wasn't really impressed. Meat was a little dry and my mini taco tortillas were hard as well. Second time was decent. Tacos were flavorful and tortillas weren't as dry/hard. Overall I give this stand a 3 out of 5. It's also a little pricey. Expect to spend about 15 dollars with tax for. 4 tacos. read more

Love love the food, family devoured the quesabirrias. We also ordered mini tacos and a torta. The torta was amazing, the bread is thin enough so it's not all bread, the size of it is also perfect. Was in the area when I saw a taco truck, I'm always up to try a new place to make it my "go to." This place has authentic Mexican food. The mini tacos is what I ordered. Had a craving so we swung by and grabbed a couple different dishes. We ordered the steak burrito, pork nachos and large chicken quesadilla. Order was ready within 20 minutes, everything was hot, fresh and super tasty. I thought the nachos were very good we devoured them, hubby had the steak burrito and he thought it was delicious. I had their chicken quesadilla, I enjoyed it very much but it's a lot of food with the large haha. I couldn't finish mine so knowing that now I will order a small next time. I order the asada street tacos and all the toppings come with them including cucumber, radish, onion (both grilled and fresh), cilantro, jalapeño, and lime wedges. I have been craving tacos like this since moving to Texas. OH a wow craving was satisfied 1000%. Even my daughter said it reminded her of the tacos she ate during her childhood. They won't disappoint at all. They make good that will touch every taste bud in your mouth and you will reach the realm of mouth heaven. Need I say more? I'm going back today to try something else. It's not that the flavors weren't there. My food tasted good. It's just that the birria quesadillas weren't executed right. If these were tacos, I would probably give 4 stars but the BQ need some work. I'd stop again to try some other items but I'll have to get my birria fix elsewhere. The man taking orders was very nice and friendly and being located in the HEB parking lot were both a plus. read more

The bread that the Torta is served on was pillowy-soft and perfectly complimented the chicken, onions. The Mayo and the lettuce added a cool crisp element. Beginning with the quality of the dog, this was a delicious premium and plump hotdog. It was bacon wrapped and grilled. I think a double wrap would have made the bacon flavor pop a little more. The beans work surprising well in the ensemble. I'd have also liked more queso or a cup of queso on the side for dipping. More bacon and queso...can you tell I'm a health nut (LoL!). Finally, the chicken flautas had a lot of potential in construct and appearance. However, the chicken itself was a bit dry. Luckily they gave us plenty of their green hot sauce (presumably a tomatillo sauce). I'll be back! I still need that Birria!!!

Okay no lie, Taquitos Tepa is fire . I went with some friends and we were all OBSESSED. The tacos were sooo good I got carne asada and al pastor and both were super flavorful. The meat was actually seasoned right and not dry like some places. read more
