    Beef Fajita Plate
    Mimi H.

So, this is my second visit to this restaurant. The staff is friendly and the cheese enchiladas are so good. I tried the beef fajitas this time and they were tasty. The only reason I'm not giving this visit five stars is because the menu said the enchiladas were $2.75 but we were charged $11. That was outrageous. Obviously we didn't get the plate with the rice, beans and salad with it. So, essentially we bought four plates for two people! We may never go back again due to this.

Been homesick and craving authentic mexican food, pozole specifically. I was glad to see they put hominy in their pozole because many places don't (that's blasphemy honestly). The broth was just perfect as was the meat. Their tortilla chips tasted homemade. Service was quick and friendly and the restaurant was clean.

This what I would call a hole in the wall is a local favorite. We have been coming here for a while when they had mariachis on Sunday. This was before Covid, now they don't have them but it was still amazing to be there. I had the two eggs and pancake plate. It was amazing. I added some salsa to the eggs potatoes and bacon. Did I fat kid myself and make a pancake taco? Maybe. Should you judge me for it. Yeah. My dad had the huevos nortenos. And he loves it. This is the place where he gets his barbacoa. We added some pico de gallo and it was perfect. The waitstaff was super quick with our order. Even the hostess was helping out where she could. A great time was had by all. (Don't judge the pancake tacos, it's not bad)

Grabbed breakfast with my family here on the weekend. I believe the management has changed in the last few years, but the staff is amazing. We were greeted by everyone when we walked in and the waitress was so kind to my 2 year old that wanted to order for herself (haha) We arrived earlier in the morning so it wasn't too crowded, but by the time we were leaving you could see the tables were filling up fast! Food was excellent, my daughter plowed through her bean and cheese tacos and then ate some of my plate. Also one of the last places in town with reasonable prices! We will be back to support local

Food quality has gone up and we are thrilled! They are making some great changes and they are worth the visit if you haven't been in a while!

Simply amazing and authentic Mexican food! I was craving Mexican food for a late lunch so me and my husband decided to give this place a try. The inside is simple with plenty of seating and the staff were friendly. We were hungry and both ordered the al pastor plates. While we waited we enjoyed munching on the chips and fresh salsa. Our plates came pretty quick and were large portions of roasted pork, rice, nopales, and beans. We were also given fresh, hot tortillas to go along with the meal. The pork was tender and super flavorful. The nopales were delicious and balanced out the pork well. The rice and beans were both super flavorful and I enjoyed having the different flavors all in one meal. I loved that the plate also had onion, cilantro, lettuce, and avocado for us to take tacos with the pork. The green salsa served with the meal was delicious and quite spicy. We enjoyed every bite and finished the meal so full. The plates were only a little over $10 each (with military discount) which was amazing! 10/10 we will be back!

The plate is smaller and is made of some type of foam. I was a little surprised but since it's been a long time not eating at taco palenque, I ordered and ate the food! When I was done eating, I saw the knife and fork marks on the foamed plate (see photos). I immediately informed and show my wife my plate and asked her "is this safe to eat?" She looked at me a surprised looked and I told her, are we eating small particles of foam/plastic" when we cut our food and eat it? Her eyes opened wider and said "OMG! I think we are!". We ordered a chorizo and egg burrito, an asada taco with egg, a chorizo taco with egg, and a chorizo plate. The main reason for the lower rating was the chorizo. It had a very unusual texture and flavor--almost more like ground chicken. It wasn't bad, just very different from any chorizo I've had before, so it wasn't quite what I expected. My husband said the burrito tasted good but had a bit too many beans. My son's chorizo plate was plentiful and he said it was good. The salsas were also really good with no complaints there, and the customer service at the drive-thru was friendly. Overall, it was a decent experience. When I rate places, I usually compare them to the best and worst I've had in that type of food. This spot definitely isn't the worst, but it didn't quite beat my favorites either. I went back and forth between giving it a 3 or a 4, but it's still worth trying, and I wouldn't hesitate to stop here again if I needed a quick bite.

I've seen people mention the service being slow, but that hasn't been my experience at all. The servers are fast, friendly, and actually know the menu, which makes a big difference. The food is consistently amazing -- fresh, flavorful, and worth every penny. Prices are very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you're getting. Plus, they gave the inside a little facelift recently with beautifully lacquered tables and seating, and it looks great. Easily one of my go-to spots for seafood. If you're into real Sinaloense mariscos, this place is it.
