    Chips and salsa
    Denise P.

Went Thursday about 2:00pm with my daughter and a friend. We seated ourselves in the colorful dining area and were greeted immediately. Server was friendly and took our drink order (we all got water with lime). She brought our drink (they were in huge glasses) and then brought us chips and salsa. The chips were crispy and nicely seasoned. The salsa was tasty with a bit of a kick for me (but I don't like very spicy foods). We all ordered the Carne A La Mexicana - beef grilled with onions, peppers and tomatoes, served with rice, beans and a salad (shredded lettuce and 1/2 a slice of tomato). We had a choice of flour or corn tortillas, we chose flour, which were thick and flavorful. And since it was a luncheon special it came with a drink. Food arrived fairly quick and was very delicious.

5 start for the new server he was awesome. But the food? Bland. Apparently everything comes covered in cheese or scrambled eggs. Really lacking flavor

I like coming but I always forget theu are closed Mondays. Friendly and super low prices. Today we had carne asada and drink special for less than $10 each. It was fresh and delicious. Friendly service. Parking is a little crazy because spots are at an angle and you're stuck if you go too far.

Excellent service, portions and prices . . . Love the people and atmosphere at this El Sabrasito!

Meat tasted like it was left out to defrost all night. Potatoes were very old and nasty taste it right there were spoiled..

After an effuse review in a local San Antonio "Top 10 Taco Joints" list I thought it was curious that this off-the-beaten-path restaurant was selected. From the write up: ----------- 11 Best Breakfast Tacos in San Antonio #10 El Sabrosito Restaurant "...El Sabrosito has been quietly serving up delicious breakfast tacos out of its cheerful yellow building to east side residents for many years." ----------- is this a Top 10 Taco Joint? I humbly say NO. Tacos Ordered: Chorizo with Eggs a la Mexicana Carne Guisada Picadillo Others: Refried Beans Rice -The Chorizo taco with eggs and pico added was nice abeit more crunchy with onion/tomato than I would've liked. -The carne Guisada was good but not particularly memorable. -The picadillo was not good. It was an overly salted basic mess. The rice and beans were ok. The tortillas were fluffy and fresh. It was all just OK. Not great, not bad...just OK. Definitely not top 10. The competition in SA is harsh.

Great food, fast service, and there's a drive thru which is a nice plus. Salsa is also very good and good horchata

The BEST menudo I've had! Moved to Converse a year ago and never stopped here because it's always packed but now I know why! It's because the food is freakin' good. The service was excellent and food was on point!

Great service provided by our waitress; she took great care of us and our order. The food never disappoints. We had our favorite dishes--the huevos rancheros and the barbacoa breakfast plate. We also ordered a dozen tamales to go for the first time. We're hoping they're good. It was crowded so the restaurant is loud with conversation but it's not too bad.

Outstanding Hidden Gem…read more Don't let its location fool you--Acapulco Mexican Restaurant, tucked inside a small shopping center next to a gas station, is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with a warm "hello" and a genuine smile. That kind of hospitality makes a difference, and it immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience. This is a walk-up, order-at-the-counter type of place, with self-seating options. You can either sit at a table or at the side bar overlooking the kitchen--both are great choices, depending on your mood. I personally love that setup because it adds to the charm and casual, inviting atmosphere. Now, let's get to the food--because WOW. I ordered the bacon and egg mix plate, which came with beans and potatoes, and I had the option of corn or flour tortillas. I went with corn (my favorite), and they were soft, warm, and perfect. My husband got a carne guisada taco and a chorizo, potato, and egg taco on flour tortillas. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you could taste the authenticity and freshness in every dish. Our drinks came out quickly, followed by our food, which was served hot and fresh. The meal also came with green and red salsa--both were fantastic, but the red salsa was my favorite with its bold, flavorful kick. And now, let's talk about price--because this might be the best part. $13.50 for everything! That's almost unheard of for food this good, this fresh, and this filling. Between the friendly service, delicious food, and unbeatable prices, Acapulco Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. We will absolutely be back, and if you're looking for a fantastic, affordable Mexican meal, I highly recommend you give this place a try!

Sodamigo - We love Sodamigo!!! Roman the owner is amazing and you can't go wrong with any drink combo or snack! 10/10!!!!

I saw that they previously had 2 locations, one of which Sodamigo took over at this location in Converse, which is closer to where I live, in Windcrest. Upon entering, we were greeted by a friendly gentleman, who may have been the owner. He was very polite and helpful. He explained the menu and talked about some of the food items and how the jalapeño popcorn was made, which they happened to be making, and it smelled very good. We ordered a chicken quesadilla, the Fuego, which happened to be a special and also a La Flor-R-R. The drinks were both very tasty. The chicken quesadilla was really good! It had a nice little cheese skirt on the outside. It is pretty spacious inside. There is a pretty cool mural on the wall. I think it might be from when Fiiz occupied the space, since it is done in their colors. Overall, it is your basic soda shop. It reminds me of the ones that I would frequent in Southwestern Utah, where the whole dirty soda trend started around 2010, by Swig. I would probably stop by, if in the area of either Sodamigo locations. Give them a try!

So we ordered a Dr Pepper that was custom-made with cherry and grape and we ordered a San Antonio Town Dr Pepper, which has cheesecake, strawberry purée, and cream in it I have to till you this was the best soda I have ever had. I am sold on this place !! There's nothing better than having an excellent soda shop near the house. They also sell kettle corn, buttery popcorn, jalapeño popcorn, nachos, tortillas, and sausage wraps, just the name a few things , you also get added mixes of energy shots, immunity boost, fresh limes, and popping Boba. Sodamigo sells lemonades with different flavors that include watermelon, cherry, kiwi, red raspberry, lavender, Wildberry, passionfruit, pomegranate, and peach purée. The fizzy waters that they sell, include flavors, like lavender, blueberry, vanilla, pineapple, coconut, mango purée, Mojito mint, and watermelon. You can add to any base the donkey lady which is vanilla times two creams or you can add cocoa Loco, which is vanilla, coconut, and cream. They also sell 10 pound bags of ice and sell their own personal tumblers. The quesadillas that they sell comes with either chicken, pulled pork or beef brisket. They sell cheese nachos, but you can add chicken, pulled pork, or beef brisket for an added fee. The drink sizes come in in Texas 44 ounce , a large 32 ounce, a medium 24 ounce and a 16 ounce Chico. Each added flavor runs about $.55 and each added cream or purée is $.80. The soda options are Dr Pepper, big red, Sprite, Mountain Dew, root beer, Coke, Pepsi, orange soda, and Ginger ale . They also offer sugar-free options and there's many many flavors that are sugar-free and you could also make your drink twisted for an extra $1.50 that means that your drink will become a slushy . The inside seating is very spacious and they have many board games that you can sit down and play with your family. If you're in the area I definitely suggest stopping by and helping out this small business because it's a pretty awesome place and I'm very happy with our drinks . Will definitely be coming back Thank you Sam for the big smile and the warm welcome.
