Found this place through their advertisement. I drive around this area all the time but never knew about this restaurant until now! When I got to the restaurant, I mentioned to the employee that I have never been there before. She took the time to go over the menu with me and made some recommendations s well. I ended up ordering their verde enchiladas and steak fajita. My order came out very fast! I enjoyed the sauce on the verde enchilada. It was just the right amount of spiciness! I do wish there was more sauce on the enchiladas. Fajita was fine....missing the lettuce, guac, etc. that usually comes with fajitas at other restaurants though. Also, I thought they would pack chips and salsa for to-go order as well, but they don't. Overall, I would not make a special trip to eat here, but I would not avoid it either if I am in the area!

I was at work and decided to try a new spot and I ended up going with Taqueria los primos. I got a steak burrito, elote, and churos. The burrito was amazing and possibly a top 5 burrito I've ever heard had. The flavors of everything inside meshed perfectly together. The elote was good but it was my first time trying it so I wasn't sure what to go off of. Lastly the churos were soft and chewy with a nice crunch on the outside and a little caramel drizzle on the inside. All in all great place.

My dad recommended for me to come here when I was craving some REAL, AUTHENTIC tacos after coming back from a trip to Mexico. I FELL IN LOVE AT FIRST BITE! I tried the campechano, steak, and fish tacos, and each were delicious. I love the rolled corn tortillas for the tacos. They are fresh and warm, which makes them amazing. I also tried the steak burrito, which was stuffed with steak. Sooo worth the price. I love their different salsas and toppings, but sometimes the toppings have been left out a bit too long, so it is not as fresh as it could be.

Quite a delicious delight. $3 per taco. Went with the barbacoa, al pastor, chicken, carne asada and shrimp tacos. All were very good. I particularly like the al pastor and carne asada tacos. The chicken was slightly underseasoned, but the other meats were all very good. Portions were decent and had a good amount of meat in them. Green and red salsa were also provided with radish and limes. Love the spice level as well. Washed it all down with a cup of horchata. Overall, good experience, nice staff, and delicious tacos. Will be back again.

Quick friendly service in a clean environment. Al Pastor tacos were delicious. Tortillas were fresh and the meat was a great blend of savory, sweet and spicy.

    Rotten avocados

Very disappointed with this restaurant. My husband and I put in an order for pickup and when we opened up our food the avocados were bad- not just browned from air exposure, they were rotten. I don't know why they were used in the first place. Once we discarded the avocados, our food just had absolutely no flavor. Aside from the avocados we could tell the ingredients were fresh but nothing was seasoned. We're very confused why this restaurant is rated so highly and will not be retuning. For reference we ordered the supreme nachos with steak, a steak chimichanga, an a la cart burrito, and the empanada combo.

I tried Taqueria Los Primos for lunch on Friday. The restaurant was busy and almost all of the customers were of Mexican decent. I love finding ethnic restaurants that are popular with the brothers (people of same background). It is usually a sign that the place is legit. The waitress was super nice. She was patient, explaining items on the menu, and providing recommendations. The menu is large and colorful. It includes many traditional Mexican dishes. By the way, chips and salsa are not served as a starter. I had the Bistec con Nopales (steak with prickly pear cactus). The dish was served with rice, refried beans, and flour tortillas. The thin steak was marinated and flavorful. It had some char from the grill and was covered with grilled onions and cactus. The cactus was sliced into strips, and had a mild taste similar to cooked squash. The rice and beans were okay. The flour tortillas were fantastic; they were warm and soft. I rolled pieces of steak, rice, and beans in the tortilla and ate it like a fajita wrap. My friend David ordered an interesting dish called Huevoes Divorciados. It had two eggs. One was covered in a green sauce and the other, an orange sauce. The dish was separated by chopped chicken pieces that were on a layer of fried tortillas. David said it was good. The taqueria was a unique experience. I recommend trying it if you are adventurous and looking for some authentic Mexican food.

Great food. Great prices. I often order takeout and this is one of my favorites to order from. The food is amazing and is even presented well in a to-go box. The food has a great taste and have generous portions for even the hungriest person. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are even better! A massive chimichanga for only $7.50? Who can beat that?!? I love this restaurant and suggest it to almost everyone I know. No matter if you're taking it to go or enjoying it in restaurant you can't go wrong with choosing this diamond in the rough!

Celebrated my mother's birthday here since she loves this place and all I can say is the same. First off, the atmosphere is so welcoming and fun. It's definitely loud with the band playing and all the customers but it's really exciting! The waitresses are so sweet and check up on you constantly. The food is even better! You get salsa and chips and they even have a salsa station with other various condiments. The portions are large and it is very authentic. I couldn't finish my meal, even though I tried cause it was so delicious. I definitely recommend coming here, they are very vegan friendly too!

Good authentic Mexican food ! Portions are large when it comes to the fajitas ! I got chicken and shrimp fajitas and it could feed 2 to 3 people ! The fajitas come with a lot of peppers and onions and flavor ! The rice and beans are good! Flour tortillas are on the side ! This is a family fun place and it is a gem hidden in bham!

Very friendly service. Buffet of sauces, limes, onions, and cilantro against the wall. Great variety of quesadillas, tortas, tacos, dessert..... I had the steak torta and it was very big and very good. My cousin had a burrito and it was huge as well. If you need to you can pick up your food to go.

Alright, I think it's time for a pro and con review. I really, really was pulling for this place. It's very authentic. In fact, it's so authentic, that I feel like some of the issues I had might just be the fault of my inexperience. Here we go... Pros - I was pretty happy with the mixed (steak/chicken) fajitas - They have a salsa bar with multiple options and several veggies - The server was really sweet - 5 star authenticity - The food came out very fast - The Chorizo taco was tasty (see cons) - The prices were VERY reasonable Cons: - No pre-meal chips and salsa - No alcohol (not that I have to have it, but I love a good margarita) - The choriqueso was a bit burned. Still tasty, but the cheese was hard and the meat was over cooked. - The chips that came with the Choriqueso were stale. - The shredded beef taco was not good. Like really, really bad. It almost had a slimy texture and fishy flavor. I decided to give it a second bite. Bad idea...I gagged a little.

Variety of salsas and other toppings to pick from

We loved this place!! Hole in the wall kind of place! Stopped by after reading some great reviews on Yelp and we were not disappointed! We started out with chips and salsa (you have to pay for chips and salsa- $5) and we became fans! Delicious salsa! Perfectly tangy, spicy and just delicious! Chips were perfectly crispy, salty, and melted in mouth! My vegetarian fajitas were full of different flavors! And my husband said the chicken fajitas were delicious with super moist chicken and perfectly spiced vegetables! They provided fresh corn tortillas! Yum! They also have a salsa station with different types of salsa and some other toppings! I had potatoes in my fajitas! I don't know how I feel about that! Other than that, we will definitely go back!

'To go' chips - salsa containers were very small! More like a condiment than for dipping chips in.

And for having unisex bathrooms, those were surprisingly clean as well. Our waitress was great, I wish I could remember her name... but I do know she was from Cali. We ordered a couple of strawberry margaritas, which were just your basic drink, but still refreshing. Started off with a basket of chips, salsa and fundido. This is considered an appetizer, so no freebies here. The chips were fresh and warm, the salsa had a nice flavor and the fundido was ok according to the kiddo. We had the grilled shrimp tacos with rice and beans. You had to assemble your own tacos tonight, and order rice and beans separately as the taco plate had no sides, but all delicious.... Beans had a nice kick, the shrimp tacos were missing something in my opinion, but not sure what. We also had the best shrimp quesadilla we ever tried. It has overly stuffed and cheesy with wonderful lime cream sauce to go with it. This entree was a huge hit all around and it did come with a side, so no extra charges. To finish off dinner, we all shared the strawberry tres leches and OMG... Absolutely the best we have had in a while. Too bad it's seasonal. Over all, great experience and would definitely g
