Sour cream, lettuce and tomato with the fajita

Always a great go to restaurant. They have a good lunch menu and quality servers. I had the shrimp fajita from the lunch menu. I left full and satisfied.

Solid mexican food. One of the only family, sit down, mexican spots near downtown. It hits the spot. Complimentary chips and salsa, a cup of queso for the table, my weekend is off to a good start. I tried the street tacos. One al pastor and one steak, $5 each. I think they could have been $3 or $4, and give me a little rice on the side. The steak and pastor were delicious, with little pieces of pineapple in the pastor one. The hot sauce, cilantro, and onion on the side were all great, too. However, the tortillas seemed a little gummy to me, almost like they were underdone. I perfer a dryer, mealier corn tortilla. Maybe the solution to this would be not plating them wrapped up in foil, or crisping up the tortilla before assembling. Nonetheless, yummy. Inspired me to go to the local mercado this weekend to whip up my own tacos. Margarita was a little heavy on the syrup mix. I'm not a snob about much, but margaritas are my thing. I need to stop ordering the house marg and expecting it to be real lime juice. But, salt on the rims, rocks in my glass, don't let me complain. Service was a little slow, but they might have had a busier crowd than expected for a Thursday. Who cares, mexican restaurants are for gossiping with your crew, not efficiency. I know they have a mariachi band play here fairly often, I will have to come check that out some time! The main room has a substantial bar that makes me wonder what kind of fiesta I've been missing out on.

My friend and I went here spontaneously halloween night. We have always seen it and said we would try it but never went. We were thoroughly amazed. It is well decorated and felt so lively. We were seated quickly and service was not only helpful but extremely quick. We had our food by the time we took a sip of our margaritas. The food was AMAZING! It was steaming and authentic. This place is definitely on my return list. It's fairly priced. The only challenging part of where it's located is the availability of parking in certain nights but hunt for a park is only a small price for the flavor.

Delicious food, tasty drinks, painful table. We went for cinco de mayo and were glad we did. The food was delicious, tasty, and not to huge portion sizes. The margaritas were tasty and went down easy. My only concern was the tab,e we sat at. It was beside the swing doors into the kitchen and when people went through it, the doors would swing and clock my elbow. Come on, do you really have to burst through the doors like that? The same guy did it to me three times.

Aha! My sisters and I stopped in for an after work fellowship. It's empty! We have definitely beat the crowd. Our waitress is VERY ATTENTIVE! Before we can seat settle chips and salsa are present and on the table. These chips are delicious and this salsa is a little caliente. My sister loves it! I opt out and ordered some cheese dip! So good! I love it. We a hungry party of 4. My niece done showed up too. Arlette got tamales with beans and rice add a side of guacamole, sour cream and verde sauce. My Boo got loaded fajitas nachos. My Nooney and I both got taco salads with fajita chicken, peppers and onions! This stuff here is good. This is the perfect fill up on my way to choir rehearsal. Y'all already know I'm happy, cause I'll be back.

The ambiance was nice. I probably will not go back for food. The portion was very small for it to be dinner hours. The shrimp was good the steak was barely seasoned it tasted better dipped in the cheese. The ONLY good thing I can rave about was the margarita. It was very good and a nice mixture between sweet and strong.

    Chimichanga
    Nia A.

Los Amigos is a regular Mexican restaurant that's just conveniently located. There's nothing special about the food but the strawberry margaritas I had were delicious. The chimichanga was small and flavorless. The rice was bland as well. I would go back for happy hour if I happened to be in the area because the prices looked good but wouldn't rush to come back here. Customer service was good!

A guilty pleasure. I always enjoy a number eight off the lunch menu. It is the same where ever you go - beef taco, beef enchilada, rice, and beans. They used to call it 'The speedy González' but political correctness caught-up with them. The ambiance is the same as every fast-casual Mexican place. The fun part is figuring out what it was before. The Steampunk fixtures give me pause.

    Chimichanga lunch with double rice

A friend and I stopped in Los Amigos for a quick lunch. They have lunch specials so of course they were pretty busy. They sat us directly by a table that was next to their delivery area. They were already receiving a delivery so the delivery person was constantly passing us. We ordered off the lunch menu. The pricing was maybe a $1-$2 difference from the regular menu but not sure about the portion size difference. We both ordered the chimichanga. I got double rice no beans which was nice that they allowed. I was a little disappointed with the amount of queso on the chimichanga. I felt like it could have made the dish a little better if they added a little more. Los Amigos is no where near the worst Mexican I've ever had but it's definitely not the best. They did get us in and out pretty quickly so that was a major plus.

Very average food and service. No frills or anything over the top. It was a nice experience for my friend's going away dinner. Plenty of space, fast service, friendly staff. Very neighborhood feels, vibe. Seems locally loved!

Very very good. The server was super nice and a good delivery person. The food was legit Mexican food too and the vibe inside is nice and comfy and the places on the outside are nice too.

Consistently good with quick service. Great for a leisurely dinner and a cocktail or a working lunch. Staff is polite and attentive. Festive atmosphere at dinner. The lighting and decorations add a bit of interest as you enjoy your meal.

The Budweiser Clydesdale Horses were visiting the Lakeview area, so our son and his friends invited us to meet them at Los Amigos for lunch. This was my first time visiting this restaurant. My husband and I had passed it many times but had never eaten there. Parking can be an issue, but it is the same for any of the restaurants and bars in this area. My suggestion is to find a place on the street and walk. Lakeview is a very walkable area with several restaurants, bars, and even an escape room. It was packed when we arrived at Los Amigos, we had a party of six, but it was great because we did not have to wait long for a table. The food was good. They had your typical burritos, enchiladas, fajitas, etc. with refills of chips and salsa. My husband and I shared the chicken fajitas which was plenty for both of us and we ordered an extra side of beans. During warm weather months, they can open their windows and roll-up doors which makes it a very pleasant eating experience. They also have a nice outside seating area. During the winter months, they put up plastic and have outside heaters.

Being downtown, parking is not always the greatest, but it was a lovely evening for walking less than a block to the restaurant. It was a Saturday evening so there was a little wait, but we were able to sit outside and have a drink while we waited. Once inside, the place was dimly lit, really loud with music and very clean. And for having unisex bathrooms, those were surprisingly clean as well. Our waitress was great, I wish I could remember her name... but I do know she was from Cali. We ordered a couple of strawberry margaritas, which were just your basic drink, but still refreshing. Started off with a basket of chips, salsa and fundido. This is considered an appetizer, so no freebies here. The chips were fresh and warm, the salsa had a nice flavor and the fundido was ok according to the kiddo. We had the grilled shrimp tacos with rice and beans. You had to assemble your own tacos tonight, and order rice and beans separately as the taco plate had no sides, but all delicious.... Beans had a nice kick, the shrimp tacos were missing something in my opinion, but not sure what. We also had the best shrimp quesadilla we ever tried. It has overly stuffed and cheesy with wonderful lime cream sauce to go with it. This entree was a huge hit all around and it did come with a side, so no extra charges. To finish off dinner, we all shared the strawberry tres leches and OMG... Absolutely the best we have had in a while. Too bad it's seasonal. Over all, great experience and would definitely g
