I highly recommend starting with the drinks -- the menu has a wide variety of creative options, but…read moreeven the well drinks were solid. Great bar all around. As for the food, the crab dip has more of a soup-like consistency, so if you're expecting something thick and hearty, it might not be for you. The chips and queso were pretty basic -- not bad, but nothing memorable. On my first visit, I ordered the beef and cheddar, but the beef was really dry, and I wouldn't recommend it. On a return visit, I got the club wrap with onion rings, and it was much better -- flavorful, fresh, and well put together. Service has been consistently attentive and welcoming, which always makes a difference. I'll definitely be back to explore more of the menu.

Crafted is my neighbor, and I have visited 45 times over the years. If I turn to my right as I type…read morethis, I will quite literally see their lovely covered patio space. As such, it doesn't exactly feel great to be downgrading my review, but my previous sentiments aren't necessarily accurate anymore. My visits have dropped off in recent months, and it seems like the restaurant itself is dropping off, too, if you just read some of their latest reviews or stop in. I know they had a shift in their ownership, and it appears to be reflecting poorly on the restaurant. I'm not a big craft beer drinker anymore, but it turns out that doesn't matter, as Crafted is no longer a craft beer spot (see the picture I posted today for their offerings). I used to looooove traipsing over there to try their rotating draft list with some top-tier brands on it. This past weekend, I had a beer-loving friend in town from another state, so we stopped in on Thursday night. The bar area was pretty empty around 7 pm. I was embarrassed that I wasted his time, as they just serve domestics and the most basic of local pours these days. When I talked to the bartender about it, he seemed fairly nonchalant and informed me that Crafted can mean more than beer, such as craft food and craft cocktails. So let's talk about the craft cocktail I ordered. I selected the espresso martini. I love a good espresso martini. Crafted managed to serve me the worst one I genuinely think I've ever consumed. It was weirdly frigid, crunchy, and looked like it was curdling upon arrival. I don't know how they managed it, but I would highly recommend not ordering one of those. I've ordered quite a bit from their food menu over the years. I didn't order any food on our latest trip to see if it fits the "craft" label, but I've been within the past few months for dinner and it was just okay. Nothing extraordinary. I know they're impacted by inflation so I won't comment on the drastic price increases I've seen beyond saying they have been pretty steep jumps for decreasing quality. At this point in time, unless they have a major revamp, I don't see a reason to return. I'd rather spend my money on an experience I know is going to be better and my money will be appreciated, such as at my other neighbors, Acacia and Shagbark.

I had such a good experience here and honestly couldn't be happier with how everything turned out…read more From the beginning, everyone was very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. You can tell that they actually care about their customers and want people to leave happy, not just make a quick sale. Everything was handled professionally, and the service was great from start to finish. I really appreciated how comfortable and respected I felt the whole time. The quality was also much better than I expected, and everything looked and felt great. It's not often that you find a place where the service, quality, and overall experience all come together like this. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good service and a positive experience. I'm very happy that I came here, and I will absolutely be coming back again. Thank you to everyone who helped make my experience such a good one!

I would definitely order it again. I also ordered a Beetroot Smoothie for my husband & hopefully he will get to try it later this week. I put it in my freezer so I will see how it stands up flavor wise to being frozen. As for food, I ordered the Jerk Chicken wrap. It was tasty. The chicken was tender & flavorful. It was moderate level spicy & the veggies in the wrap complemented the flavor of the chicken well. I look forward to returning to The Beet Box and trying more menu options. I highly recommend trying their options if you enjoy healthy & flavorful food & smoothie choices.

We had a great meal here! The Garden Sampler Board was a fun twist on a traditional charcuterie…read moreboard, and we really enjoyed getting to try a variety of everything. Our entrees were equally as tasty. I ordered the salmon and it was done well! My only personal preference would be to swap the green beans for the collards next time--the green beans just weren't cooked quite the way I prefer. That said, everything else was really enjoyable. Overall, a great meal at an equally great price. We were pleasantly surprised to walk out for under $65 without ordering drinks. Definitely felt like a great value, and we'd happily come back!

Food was good service was horrible…read more We went in and they told us that it would be 15 minutes for a table, fine, I indicated we wanted inside , since the heat index was 105. There is a huge empty booth right in the front across from the hostess stand, no one was sitting there, we asked if we could sit there for just a moment to cool off in the AC- we were rudely told no we had to wait outside. The next family in line included 2 elderly women and a baby all dressed gorgeous, they also were told they had to wait outside in 105 weather. After about 20 minutes of waiting, (I was just going to tell them to forget it) they said our table was ready. Well, instead of inside with AC as we requested we were seated in a gazebo porch area that they claimed had AC. By this time we were so desperate for cool, we didn't argue that we had requested INSIDE not whatever this room was. It ended up being like sitting in a tuna can. So uncomfortable, my husband and bro in law just went and sat in the car with the AC blasting. Waitress was sporadic to put it nicely. Meanwhile, back inside the booth across from the hostess stand was still empty. Food was fine. But I don't think this place will be around much longer.

Great food and great service Very friendly family style…read morerestaurant Small but always enough space

I have been craving Greek food for awhile and decided to try Stella's. I've been told this is one…read moreof the best restaurants in Richmond and so I had high expectations. To be honest my overall experience was sort of just meh and forgettable so I'm not sure I'd be back. To be clear though I did not dine in I placed an order for takeout. The first 3 times I called the phone didn't go through and then the fourth time someone was pretty rude on the other end of the phone. They close at 10 and I ordered takeout around 8 and she very pointedly told me they don't usually take takeout orders past 5pm but since they were slow she would make an exception. Since it doesn't say this on the anywhere on their website I felt like the overall attitude and tone she was giving me was rude and pretentious. She acted like I should've known their takeout policy and the fact she was making an exception for me I should be so grateful. Lol. It's just food. Anyway. I showed up to pickup and the interior seemed really nice. The plates I saw go by looked well appointed. The gentleman who handed me my food was pretty polite. There were a few servers that walked by that sort of seemed to give me a stink eye or glare at me for standing next to the host stand which is tiny and right next to their entrance. Overall I just felt like I was sort of imposing by picking up my order. The general vibe I got in person confirmed how I felt on the phone - the staff take themselves way too seriously and they are pretentious about pretty average food. I ordered the pastitsio and the moussaka. I ate all of the pastitsio and it was okay. I felt like the layering was really well done as was the meat sauce. However the bechamel on top was a bit too sweet for my taste and the nutmeg was slightly overpowering in this dish which made it feel a bit too sweet for my palette. Pastitsio is one of my favorites so this was sort of a bummer. The moussaka frankly was not good. I didn't find any potato in it (maybe Stella's version doesn't have it) but the eggplant was borderline raw tasting. I'm not sure what eggplant variety they use but it was more similar to a green bell pepper than a roasted eggplant. It was EXTREMELY tough and chewy and overall just a total pain to eat. I tried to cut into the layers and would pull out an entire giant slice of green eggplant because I couldn't cut through it. Yuck. It also suffered from the same slightly too sweet thing going on with the bechamel that the other dish did. I did not like this one at all which is sad bc I love moussaka. 2/5 Overall I'm not sure I'd be back. The service was pretentious and a bit uncomfortable I didn't feel very welcomed buying food from here and the food itself was below my expectations. The ambiance and value are both fine (both entrees together were $50 which to me is not bad at all) but I may look elsewhere for Greek in RVA before returning here.
