    Doneraky taco with pan arabé
    Caroline G.

I have been here on a prior trip of Mexico City from a taco food tour but wanted to come back on my own. Get the Doneraky taco on pan arabe (pita bread) and the doneraky gringa. Recommend coming on a weekday when it isn't crazy busy as the service can get pretty slow during those times. The ambiance is very basic. You'll either be in a small table inside by the soda machine or outside on the sidewalk.

Simple taco spot with cheap eats. Great service. Tasty menu. Donerkay Gringa - 5/5 Arranchera Tacos - 5/5 Bistec Tacos - 4/5 Donerkay gringa was super tasty. The arranchera were really good too. Meats were juicy and fresh. Simple spot with great food. Service was good too.

This is a small restaurant with an impressive amount of seating, a large menu and friendly service. I tried their signature Donkeray Taco with queso and avocado but it was pretty dry. The salsas made it a lot moister but they began to takeaway from the flavour of the meat. However, I really enjoyed the unique tortillas they served (which came thicker than most) and the generous amounts of toppings that came with them. It's a good spot with decent food but I likely won't come back.

This was our first stop in Mexico City and we came to grab a snack as this shop was right across from our Airbnb. We tried the doneraky with pita which is their signature and the bistec taco. The bistec was just ok. The meat was a bit tough but the doneraky was pretty good and the pillowy pita was yummy too. The real highlight is the spicy pico de gallo which is the spiciest of the salsas but definitely the most flavorful. Make sure to add some to your tacos!

Only okay. There are way better taco places in Mexico!! Also, it's super small and hard to fit back to back with other groups of people. We had the pork tacos and swapped out the Arabian bread for corn tortillas. 15 peso per taco, so cheap!

Came here at the recommendation of a friend and ordered the doneraky. The dish was fine and came out quickly, but it was pretty average overall.

Tacos were overall good. Would get again. Place is a little small and crammed but still ok. Worth the wait.

Service and place is subpar. Tacos and quesadillas aren't great either since they hardly put any meat into them. Not worth the try.

The patio was very inviting, so even though it was a bit chilly we sat outside. Our waiter was great, he was also busy, but we got our orders in and received in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails were off the charts. Honestly can't remember what they were, we got two with Mayan honey and spices, and they were phenomenal. So fruity and spicy and served in an aesthetically pleasing way. One was the cocktail of the month, Aperol and mezcal, why not? Tasted like a, "fruity fireplace," according to our friend to which we wholeheartedly agreed. They gave us each an elote amuse bouche which was a tasty surprise and got us ready for more tastiness. Had a variety of tacos that we all enjoyed immensely. Cauliflower-both types were equally good. Birria queso was incredibly rich and just saturated with flavor-in the best way possible. Had esquites with blue corn and ham croquettes that we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the side salsas. Definitely had to do some negotiating when divvying them up since all of use could have eaten more. This place is not inexpensive, you will drop some money here, especially since you'll want to keep trying cocktails and tacos, but it's worth it. Name on the door was Maiz y Tinto, so that confused me for a bit.

Very busy restaurant and located in a very lovely area. The staff was amazing and in sync. We started with some cocktails - the guava mezcalita and jamaica mezcalita and also the chardonnay that was very tasty. Here's what we had: -Tostadas de atun(tuna tostadas)- must get -Ensalada de Pulpo con patatas tibias con albhaca(octopus with potatoes and basil) - octopus wasn't very good and there was no flavor -Pescado à la talla Contramar(grilled whole fish with salsas on top)I would only get the one with just the red sauce, the green sauce didn't have a lot of flavor. This is very filling and enough for 4 people -Tacos de Pescado estilo Ensenada(fried fish tacos) - these were ok The dessert, though!! This is what the extra star is for - The Meringue with Fresas(meringue cake with strawberries)- OMG soooo good. Even after how incredibly full we were, we could not stop eating this. Delicious and so unique but with the classic flavor of strawberries and whipped cream. Don't forget to add a carajillo! À delicious coffee drink with coffee liqueur.
