Y'all. Y'all don't even know.
Okay, so the Mexican scene in Philly is good. I was pleasantly surprised when I went down to CDMX and had a lot of the street food that I found what I was having in Philly at spots like Don Barriga and Veracruzana are still very solid.
But come on. This place is charging 12-15 pesos per taco. That's 60 to 75 cents, bro.
Al pastor. Alambra. Campechanos. Longaniza. Chorizo. Doesn't matter. It's ALL good. And they are so good they have a constant crowd of suits, cops, and other locals hovering around, eating off of what look like repurposed frisbees and asking for seconds and thirds. Standing room only, and if you think you're only gonna order three, welcome to having had 8 tacos and needing a nap.
I didn't even get to the salsas. Come on now. Verde. Rojo. Habanero. The grilled cactus whose name I can't remember. You want it, they got it.
DO NOT miss this spot. read more
