Fav tacos in mexico. So delicious and want to come back just to go here again hehe. You can smell how tasty everything is while walking nearby. Easy to order and the bistec con queso is delicious

Pastor tacos and steak tacos

So el pastor tacos are a big thing in Mexico City, let me tell you!!! Sooooooo good!! We had them almost every day. The grilled pork, grilled pineapple on grilled corn tortillas with some homemade salsas!!! It's not about the service it's about the flavor, a must go to when in Mexico City!!!!!

Yummy tacos, a casual ambience and quick service. It's an open plan with no seating - you can see your food being made, and people stand around ordering and eating which creates a fun, communal feel. I had the Cecina taco, the Costilla taco and the quesadillas. The salsas that go along are finger-licking. Highly recommend.

Tacos de bistec - 4.5 stars. Amazing meat! Sunday night 2016-01-03

OWSCMP Yes! So good! Great hole-in-the wall stuff, definitely local meats and flavors. THE WAIT: It was busy on a Sunday around 9pm, but the turnover is super fast. Lots of people standing around eating their food. MUST-HAVES: Everything we ordered. Especially the Pan Arabe. See my pictures for additional details too. * Tacos de bistec - 4.5 stars Amazing meat! * Pan Arabe con Bistek - 4.5 stars Soft toasted bread, great meat & cheese. * Bistek Taco con Queso - 4.5 stars Yummm! * Costilla - 4.5 stars Also great!

Items Selected: Tacos Nopale Con Queso Tacos Alambre de Pastor Tacos Chuleta y Tocino Pan Arabe con Pollo Volcan con Chorizo Jericaya Arroz con Leche Considered by many to be the best Taco shop in a city where one can literally find a stand or cart every ten yards, Taqueria Los Parados was a must-visit on the first night in Mexico City, a small line snaking out the front of a standing-room-only space where Meats are being grilled or spit-roasted in plain view with Condiments sitting at the cusp of the entryway, free for the taking. Using two large menu boards with no indication of how to proceed, it was after some deliberation that the counter was approached with an order typed out in text, the items recited back and two Desserts plus a beverage produced from the cooler with instructions to pass the receipt to a grillman who would prepare all of the rest. Tight, narrow and crowded - comments often as applicable to the city itself as they were to Los Parados, it was with a small space carved along an interior ledge that a brief wait was undertaken prior to orders being served one-by-one from the grill-top, first bites of the Tacos Alambre de Pastor showing the Beef to be tender and succulent amidst a mélange of Peppers and Onions that grew even more vibrant with a spritz of Lime and some Salsa while the Cactus and Cheese was smoky and fresh both before, and moreso after, adding a generous amount of Pico de Gallo. Intrigued by the combination Taco of Steak and Bacon, but a little underwhelmed by the flavor until condiments were added to liven things up, the dual-layered pocket of grilled Chicken and Cheese quickly helped steer the meal back on course, the dish described as a Volcan featuring the Tortillas grilled crisp beneath a pile of spicy Pork mellowed by both the melted Cheese and a scoop of pureed Avocado. Wrapping up the meal with desserts, a plastic cup of Rice Pudding proving mildly sweet and laced with Cinnamon amidst stick-a-spoon-up-straight thickness, even better bites were found within a dish entitled Jericaya, the Egg Custard popular in Guadalajara lightly baked brown on top with a texture not so different from Flan, but with less air pockets and a more savory overall flavor.

This place was amazing They have 3 stations you can order from Pastor Pastor ranchera And the hot grill station You just go around and order until your can't eat no more and then you pay. It was crazy that each taquero in each station knew how many tacos i ordered at their stations. Definitely come for the queso fundido I put it on all my tacos. You eat standing up there's no seating but that's almost any taco stand ever. + all tacos were very good + salsas were not extremely spicy but everyone has their own tastes I've been in Mexico City for a couple of days now and the tacos are in the 20-40's pesos range which is kinda pricey to me since I've been eating tacos around the city for under 20 pesos. Nonetheless the tacos are a def must try. The fondue cheese is a game chan

This taco joint has other locations, but the one I usually visit is located on Monterrey Av., close to the trendy neighborhoods of "Condesa y Roma". The name states that you won't have a sit, but not for that no satisfaction. You need to choose from the wall what you want, proceed to pay, and wait with your ticket on hand while your saliva flows like a waterfall. I always ask for a "jugo de carne" ( concentrated beef broth), for "pastor de arrachera" (hanger steak cooked shawarma's style), and one of their "cráters" (hard/crunchy- tortilla with melted cheese and your choice of meat). They don't sell spirit beverages, but for sure, you will need an "agua fresca", specially if you felted brave enough to put salsa on your late night feast. I'm not a regular fan because I don't live in there anymore (tear drops), but I would certainly be a monthly regular (at least), if I was partying around, or wanting to try some of the most popular tacos the "Defectuoso" has to offer. I will be back soon I hope

This time there were about 10 people waiting and I finally decided it was worth it... and it absolutely was. The tacos were incredible, the service was fast, and they bring out 5-6 different sauces so you can try different flavors with everything. I sat outside, which made the experience even better great people-watching, amazing energy, and everyone walking by looked effortlessly stylish. Mexico City really is such a trendy, vibrant city. Honestly, I still think about these tacos. I could close my eyes and dream about this place.

Full disclaimer: these are my first tacos in Mexico City. The trumpo was really good!! Highly recommend! The res was good too, but not super standout. The chicharron itself was really good, but I don't know if I love it in a taco. The trumpo with the pineapple really stole the show. It's nice that the 3 tacos come with some potatoes. The potatoes were good! It seemed smashed then fried. Can't go wrong with frying potatoes. Food came out fast! It seems like this place can get super packed and busy, which I would think is a good sign!

The restaurant seating does give mall food court vibes, but that's ok i wasn't looking for anything fancy. All the wait staff and servers were very friendly and attentive at all times. Food does not take long at all to come out. Overall the food was disappointing. The only taco that was decent and had some flavor was the chicken taco(pechuga). Quite literally everything else was flavorless. The sauces on the side were the saving grace for every item of food I ordered. The ribeye taco was soaked in grease, which made eating it messy. The chuleta taco had no flavor and i would even say tasted bad. I do not recommend it. The food is definitely overpriced, especially considering the area and the amount of taco vendors that sell better tacos. Now what made this experience terrible was my waiter. I ask for the check and the total was $1139. I told him i was paying cash and i put down $1150 cash. He then taps at the receipt saying there's a mandatory tip and service fee. So he added on $100 to the bill right there on the spot. I analyze the receipt he handed to me and none of this is reflected on the receipt. I refused to argue so i put down the extra $100 and asked for the change. Tipping isn't mandatory especially for a table of 2. So i feel the waiter just made this up. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY and save some money. Theres better tasting food at way better prices in the area.

The patio was very inviting, so even though it was a bit chilly we sat outside. Our waiter was great, he was also busy, but we got our orders in and received in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails were off the charts. Honestly can't remember what they were, we got two with Mayan honey and spices, and they were phenomenal. So fruity and spicy and served in an aesthetically pleasing way. One was the cocktail of the month, Aperol and mezcal, why not? Tasted like a, "fruity fireplace," according to our friend to which we wholeheartedly agreed. They gave us each an elote amuse bouche which was a tasty surprise and got us ready for more tastiness. Had a variety of tacos that we all enjoyed immensely. Cauliflower-both types were equally good. Birria queso was incredibly rich and just saturated with flavor-in the best way possible. Had esquites with blue corn and ham croquettes that we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the side salsas. Definitely had to do some negotiating when divvying them up since all of use could have eaten more. This place is not inexpensive, you will drop some money here, especially since you'll want to keep trying cocktails and tacos, but it's worth it. Name on the door was Maiz y Tinto, so that confused me for a bit.

Then, allow the friendly staff to bring as many items from the menu as you can handle. Come with a group so you can share. An absolute must is the whole fish done à la Contramar, one side of the split fish coated in a punchy parsley sauce and the other in a red adobo rub. Served with flour tortillas (which are refillable) and black bean dip, you'll be instructed how to compose perfect bites. Then, choose your own adventure! We also had both the 4 piece each shrimp tostadas and tuna tostadas. Radically different so getting both doesn't duplicate. The pasta (spaghettini) with clams was buttery and garlicky and the pasta was surprisingly not overcooked. Biggest surprise was the grilled soft shell crabs (with corn tortillas). They came pre cut then reassembled so it was easy to pick them up and pop them in your mouth. The grill flavor was fantastic and we were all impressed. We finished with a slice of coconut cake which was like a caramel coated macaroon. Perfect! Large wine list by the glass and bottle, many cocktails, sangria and beer to choose from. Definitely a place to visit when in Mexico City. Sorry for the lack of photos-- we forgot because we dove into each dish (we were hungry and they looked so good)! Got one good one though...
