Stopped in late night for some tacos. The tacos here are pretty straightforward - meat and tortilla. The longanisa is delicious. The queso fundido is incredible. The salsas skew spicy overall. The bistec was decent, pastro was good, the gringos were tasty. Solid spot.

Came here during the day and it was completely empty. The pastor especial is probably the best dish here. Would recommend about one per person if you're hungry. They also had plenty of taco choices. Was really glad to find that this was a chain and can't wait to visit a different one

In A Nutshell: -El Huequito (The Little Hole) is a chain of excellent Mexican restaurants in CDMX. -This location bordering La Condesa is located in the middle of an intersection that reminds you of many big cities around the world. -I enjoyed the best tacos al pastor (151 pesos)! -You get a towering mound of sliced pork shoulder along w/ several tortillas. -You also get a variety of salsas to try out, they are each very tasty. -I also ordered the prime rib taco (55 pesos), which is a thinly sliced prime rib w/ bone served with a big tortilla. -Everything tasted so, so good, you can't ask for anything better! Overall, the service is fast & efficient. Just sit down & the servers will give you a QR code menu to order from, then your food will be brought to you.

Food was great! I think the service was even better. The waiter was extremely attentive. The tacos weren't extraordinarily but they were decent.

We came here after a late flight to Mexico City based off a suggestion from our Airbnb host. This place was so good and cheap! We ordered a bunch of stuff, some we weren't exactly sure what, and they were all yummy. The al pastor and chicken dishes were combined with onions and seasoning that made them really good. The quesadilla, while not the regular deep fried quesadilla in MX, was delicious because who doesn't love a massive ton of queso fresco warmed between a corn tortilla. The salsas were a nice addition, we tried out a lot of them. What appeared to be a regular reg salsa was surprisingly spicy. I ended up enjoying the salsa verde the most and was adding it to everything. We're here for another two nights and I'm sure we'll be back for another late night snack! I also wanted to note, the doors are not automatic... you have to physically pull them apart. Someone came to help us figure that out and it appeared others were having a similar issue.

Landed in CDMX on July 3rd late in the evening and this taco place was just a couple of blocks down from our Airbnb, so our group decided to get some late night tacos before bed. It was a great first experience! We tried a bunch of different things - two different types of al pastor taco, one almost deep fried like a taquito and another more classic version with a homemade tortilla. I also ordered the pearl onions, and a friend got the fried cheese. The other three tacos I got were the rib, the chicharron, and the arrachera. The chiccharon taco was probably my favorite of the bunch - I loved the different textures at play between the different types of pork. The onions were also excellent, a little tangy, and the fried cheese was great.

Great place and open till 3AM! We came here for a midnight snack thinking it'd be some hole-in-the-wall place but we discovered it's a sit-down restaurant and were greeted by a full waitstaff who were very friendly and welcoming. They didn't know English so be sure to go with someone who can speak Spanish! Ordered the famous al pastor tacos and had possibly the most satisfying meal of our trip (and this is after dining at Pujol and Quintonil!). Fancy restaurants are an experience in themselves, but there's nothing quite like good comforting street food. These were the best al pastor tacos we've ever had! Loved the tiered sauce tray too! Service was much better than expected. People complain these are higher prices than normal but really it's still only like $1/taco and the servers definitely work for it. For comparison, the tacos at La Casa de Tono were pretty disappointing (go there for pozole and horchata instead), so I'd rather pay a bit more for delicious ones like these!

I had the corn soup, guac and chips, and the el pastor taco. The soup was really good. The cheese could have been more melted but the flavors were delicious and it was a perfect dish on a cold night. The taco was also good but def need more than one! It was pretty small. Tastes good with the gauc.

Awesome tacos. My friend sent me here and they were super delicious. The only problem is that it is difficult to tell the uber driver where to pick you up. The pastor tacos are their specialty and man were they good. The orders might be a little more expensive here since they have gained some fame after Anthony Bourdain at here. But they were worth it. Everything was amazing. But be aware that the salsa is pretty spicy if that is a problem for you. Enjoy!

Full disclaimer: these are my first tacos in Mexico City. The trumpo was really good!! Highly recommend! The res was good too, but not super standout. The chicharron itself was really good, but I don't know if I love it in a taco. The trumpo with the pineapple really stole the show. It's nice that the 3 tacos come with some potatoes. The potatoes were good! It seemed smashed then fried. Can't go wrong with frying potatoes. Food came out fast! It seems like this place can get super packed and busy, which I would think is a good sign!

The restaurant seating does give mall food court vibes, but that's ok i wasn't looking for anything fancy. All the wait staff and servers were very friendly and attentive at all times. Food does not take long at all to come out. Overall the food was disappointing. The only taco that was decent and had some flavor was the chicken taco(pechuga). Quite literally everything else was flavorless. The sauces on the side were the saving grace for every item of food I ordered. The ribeye taco was soaked in grease, which made eating it messy. The chuleta taco had no flavor and i would even say tasted bad. I do not recommend it. The food is definitely overpriced, especially considering the area and the amount of taco vendors that sell better tacos. Now what made this experience terrible was my waiter. I ask for the check and the total was $1139. I told him i was paying cash and i put down $1150 cash. He then taps at the receipt saying there's a mandatory tip and service fee. So he added on $100 to the bill right there on the spot. I analyze the receipt he handed to me and none of this is reflected on the receipt. I refused to argue so i put down the extra $100 and asked for the change. Tipping isn't mandatory especially for a table of 2. So i feel the waiter just made this up. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to anyone. STAY AWAY and save some money. Theres better tasting food at way better prices in the area.

For me, this was a one and done sorta place cause there's other taco shops around I want to try. A lil' but pricey in my opinion. Beware of the upcharges sales pitch when ordering. "Want this? The patio was very inviting, so even though it was a bit chilly we sat outside. Our waiter was great, he was also busy, but we got our orders in and received in a reasonable amount of time. The cocktails were off the charts. Honestly can't remember what they were, we got two with Mayan honey and spices, and they were phenomenal. So fruity and spicy and served in an aesthetically pleasing way. One was the cocktail of the month, Aperol and mezcal, why not? Tasted like a, "fruity fireplace," according to our friend to which we wholeheartedly agreed. They gave us each an elote amuse bouche which was a tasty surprise and got us ready for more tastiness. Had a variety of tacos that we all enjoyed immensely. Cauliflower-both types were equally good. Birria queso was incredibly rich and just saturated with flavor-in the best way possible. Had esquites with blue corn and ham croquettes that we thoroughly enjoyed, especially the side salsas. Definitely had to do some negotiating when divvying them up since all of use could have eaten more. This place is not inexpensive, you will drop some money here, especially since you'll want to keep trying cocktails and tacos, but it's worth it.
