I came to this little restaurant spot in San Leandro on the day of the Mexico game and was craving some authentic Filipino lumpia for our watch party. I ordered through DoorDash and scheduled the pickup time right before the game so they'd be hot and crispy. The restaurant is located in an older shopping center with plenty of parking, which made pickup super easy. You can order party trays of all most everything. The staff was incredibly friendly, and the whole place has that warm, family-run feel. They offer all the traditional Filipino dishes and desserts, and there's plenty of seating inside, along with air conditioning and a restroom for dine-in guests. As for the lumpia--they did not disappoint! I arrived right on time, and my order was ready to go. The lumpia were perfectly crispy, served with sweet and sour dipping sauce, and absolutely delicious. Everyone at the party loved them, and they disappeared in no time. This review is solely based on the service, punctuality, and pickup experience for the lumpia, and they definitely earned my recommendation. I can't wait to come back and try more of their dishes! read more

Super casual Filipino silog spot in San Leandro, tucked into the Dollar Tree parking lot. Nothing fancy--just a solid place to grab a satisfying Filipino breakfast. We ordered the pork liempo + beef tapa silog and the longanisa + tocino silog. Everything came with a decent portion of garlic rice and a perfectly runny fried egg. The liempo had that crispy, fatty goodness. The beef tapa had good flavor, although I wish it wasn't shredded--I prefer the more traditional sliced pieces. The longanisa and tocino hit that sweet-salty Filipino breakfast craving perfectly. And don't sleep on the vinegar. That stuff is really good and cuts through all the richness of the meats so well. Decent portions, no-frills setting, good comfort food. Definitely the kind of neighborhood spot I'd come back to when I'm craving silog. read more

I ate from here by a to go order from my workplace? It's just downright homemade Filipino food, not much else to say really. Taste wise it's fine, it's more appealing to people who have tastes for culture of Filipino roots read more

This was my first time ordering from Tapsilog Express and i will say i am very impressed!! We were greeted as we entered and had ordered through the Kiosk for togo. The kitchen staff was very friendly and welcoming. The food came out fast and while waiting we sat in the dining room, The vibes were very chill, with the occasional door dashers, What i thought was really cool was they had on the TV a slide show explaining what this style of food means! This is my first time eating this kind of food and it was delicious! The lumpia was crispy, the rice has an amazing taste on its own, and the seasoning for meats were perfect. Will definitely be returning here, and recommend to try! read more

Authentic, quick, accommodating, and delicious Filipino food! It's a fast casual dining experience, and the ambiance reminded me of Vigan restaurants. With the similar wood like top tables, and the decore of different provinces. The food is really portioned well! Like each Silog box comes with rice, protein, and sauce! The food is tasty too! Not too salty, def not bland. And the flavors are a mixture of all the different provinces, and not just one style of Filipino cooking. They have halo halos tooo omg! Very hard to find a good halo halos these days in the Bay Area. Summer is coming so you def want to stop by for this! Drinks are house made , really refreshing. Plenty of parking in the lot. Kinda a hidden gem this spot is, because it's on a quiet street and plaza in San Leandro. I highly recommend catering with them! I am thinking about that soon! read more

Filipino Breakfast served ALL DAY?!! I love this quick concept for Filipino food! Each silog plate is catered for one person, and comes with garlic rice and an egg. This is mostly a take out spot, where you order at the kiosk or can find them on delivery apps, but there are tables inside too if you prefer to dine in.  You know we had to get the Tosilog, which was really good and probably my favorite plate. I also like that they give packets of lemon juice and little cups of vinegar. I drenched my plates in that vinegar, soooo good lol. What we ordered: * Lumpia * Tapsilog * Tosilog * Longsilog * Bangsilog * Adobosilog * Pancit * Desserts - Halo-Halo & Mais Con Yelo read more

I walked in and there was no one here so I didn't grab a table. When I finished ordering at the kiosk, all the tables were taken! It was an Asian Invasion!!!! Lol. Must be a good place to eat. Apparently a basketball game just ended and several families walked in. Ordering on the kiosk was easy. You click on what you want and it takes you to a window for extra options. Many different "silog" varieties to choose from: aside from the usual, they also have spam, adobo, tinapa, chicken, hotdog, and bagnet. You can also order pancit and lumpias. I ordered the Liemposilog and a halo halo. Liemposilog was decent. Good portion size! Lots of meat. Didn't look so much like the photo. I thought it would be more similar to Lechon Kawali. This was thinner and not crunchy. Halo Halo was good. Lots of toppings. Definitely a great place to stop for fast Filipino food. Establishment was clean. A few tables for couples and small groups. Order came out within 5-10 min. read more

Been wanting to try this place for a minute. I perused the menu before.i wasn't in the mood for any -silog dishes. I drove over because I wanted to have them hang a flyer of an upcoming Filipino Heritage program at my library. I walked in apparently they had just got their power restored 10 mins before. I decided on the pancit and halo halo to go. Ok the halo halo was good. The pancit apparently was a mix of two different pancit, bihon and canton and it was topped with stripes of fried pork. Im a strictly bihon person. Now I know my people dish is heavy on garlic especially Adobe. But this had too much garlic. The vampires from Translyvannia could smell it. Ill be back for the halo halo though. I stick to making my own bihonpancit read more

We this establishment on the way home. Decided to try it. There's a kiosk to order and the menu is easy and basic. Looking at the prices it's overpriced for some silog meal. I'm sorry but $14 for a longsilog is highway robbery. For a small bowl of pancit is $9. And the portions are small. You have to order a side to make it satisfying and that's $9. The pancit was delicious. And the longganisa and tapa was ok. Definitely worth trying out if you're in the area. read more

During my lunch break, I got the Tosilog because I didn't get the chance to pack myself my regular homemade lunch. Thought this was a good chance to try out Tapsilog Express for the first time. As I was really excited to see a filipino restaurant in the area. However, about an 1.5hr back into work, I realized from my symptoms, I got food poisoning. I'll save the details for privacy reasons. From this, it extremely affected how I functioned for the rest of my shift. Only after visiting Yelp reviews to see it has 6 health violations already is concerning. I would hope the staff and team are taking more serious precautions to ensure proper food handling and safety. read more

Growing up in a Filipino household you were always taught "why would you buy that? We can cook that at home! Tara na!". I went to Tapsilog Express for the first time today with my fiancé and I was just in awe on how much the food stood out so much. I ordered the sisigsilog it was a good 4/5 because towards the end of the dish I was getting "umay" from the taste and my fiancé got the bangsilog which I thought a 5/5 because it was crispy and was cooked just right. I will definitely come back and try the other things from the menu! The workers are very friendly and took the time to check up on us and have a little chat! Overall, this place is astig! read more

I do like decent Filipino food. This was my first time trying this place, I order pancit and lumpia. The food was very flavorful and satisfying. I was super hungry so I forgot to take photos ( I will remember next time) I love that they sent me lemon juice packets with my delivery! Very delish and I recommend if you love Filipino food like I do! I will be patronizing again. read more

This is a place a crave quite a bit but am not as close as I wish I was. I was introduced to tapsilog from a regular and local. At first I didn't think much just based off the location but I try to not judge a book by it's cover and actually try the food and then judge based off that. So this is a definitely must try spot for me. A hole in the wall that is too good to not try for yourself. The service is usually quick and very friendly. You could go and order in person which is a tablet, call in the order, or order online for pick up. All very quick and very efficient. The actual location is in a small shopping center but finding parking isn't that hard. I got the liemposilog. The pork belly is crispy and yummy. I always add condiments to my rice to give it some extra flavor like the vinegar and some chili oil for extra flavor if not you could also have it as is. The space is very open and great vibes inside. Overall I always can't wait to get back to the bay to get this for lunch. Check them out!! read more

Ok as many times I've been here it doesn't matter whether it's breakfast or lunch you'll find something at any given time of the day here. Any of the silogs you get will be satisfying but my goto is the beef silog and the one with the link can't remember the name but there good and coated with flavors. Come on a bow with rice and usually an egg to. Now I also hit the lumpia every time because they are good as well and usually the first to be eaten. The people there are friendly as hell and will make sure you're good usually before you leave. Inside is clean and well put together like a mom and pop shop usually should be but they have their own style going to match their place!highly recommend! Try it at least once! read more

Great food, nice family running the place. My wife (who is not very adventurous when it comes to food), loves this place! Pork adobo, longganisa and sisig are our go to orders. I ordered for pick up and the food was ready right on time! This is a great place for silog cravings because they have so many options. Always good silogs, anytime of the day or week Living up to their namesake, the Tapsilog is the best in the bay area, and goes hard with the chili oil as well. Service is also stellar, and they never let the place look run down or old, theres always new decor. I wish the Hayward branch was still active, but I digress. 5/5, try it for yourself read more

Dear Arvin, Janet, Jojit, and Leslie (hope I spelled your names right), Thank you for always welcoming me, even when I come in close to closing time. You've never once turned me away or made me feel rushed while eating. I could sit, breathe, and truly enjoy my meal--parang nasa bahay lang. That means more than you probably realize, especially after long workdays. To Yelp: The staff here is genuinely kind and welcoming. They introduce themselves, remember your name, and treat you like family. That personal touch goes a long way and is something you don't see often anymore. The food quality is always consistent, no matter how busy they get. Takeout orders are always on point--same order, done right every time. No hassle, no upselling, no drama--just good lutong-bahay made with care. If you're craving a true taste of the Philippines and that feeling of comfort and familiarity, this is the spot. I drove my way to San Leandro to try a Filipino restaurant, which serves several types of silogs (Filipino breakfast). I heard that they've been in business for at least a few years now. I can see that they took a modern approach to make the restaurant look nice despite being a fast food chain. I like how the menu displays the food along with the title, description, and price. Also, they don't accept cash as payment even though that you decide to order from the cashier and the kiosks ask us to do so. I decided to order Sisigsilog because of how unique it looks with the sauces they used. Really tastes good and the portion amount is appropriate, not too big and not too small. Sisig has a unique taste most likely because of the sauces they added. Egg yolk is quite ready and the garlic rice tastes normal. I did take out because traffic will get worse during the afternoon. They have a website where we can find different locations of it. For now, San Leandro is the only one that has that restaurant in the Bay Area when looking for others. I hope that they added more locations of it around or near Fremont for convenience since that's where I live. read more

Came in here today around 7pm and the girl behind the counter silently stared at us and started sweeping seemed irritated that we came in... my little sister accidentally forgot to push her chair in and the girl used her broom or foot and pushed the chair back in with attitude. My sister and I were wondering maybe she is mad that we came 30 mins for takeout before closing? Saving grace would be the woman in the kitchen who greeted us with a smile when picking up our food. Food is good but we seemed to be unwelcome here lol. So we will reconsider coming back. read more
