My go-to for a quick delicious comforting Filipino breakfast! I've been going to this place since they were in hayward (ps I miss this location!) They serve delicious silog (sinangag - garlic rice and itlog - egg). They have different kinds of meat that can go w your silog. My faves are longanisa, tocino, bangus and the boneless tinapa. They also have yummy lumpia. Their tokwat baboy as well as the lechon kawali are a must try. And don't forget that pineapple cooler. Food is delicious, service is always good and quick and the vibe is authentic. Def a good place to visit if you're craving silog! As a Filipina it's a little challenging to find Filipino food I like especially fast food that isn't typically what's served at a Jollibee. Which was why I ordered the Bangsilog: a dried vinegar fried fish with a lot of fine bones. I liked this fish but I hated the work when my mom cooks it with all of its bones. At least the fish here is deboned, tender, and crispy and I can enjoy it without the work. I practically ate everything including the head lol the portions in the bowl were also just right for me. Will definitely order again when I'm in the area. There is a similar place down in San Jose but I find their food extra oily unlike here. I also got the sago't gulaman and as I expected it was SWEET! Not pictured but my bf ordered the sisilog and he enjoyed it. I got to try a small spoon of sisig and it was deliciously savory! Hope to be in the area again soon. read more

It's been awhile since stopping by and like they now offer picture menus on the wall. Especially, for those not familiar with Filipino dishes you can see what you're getting. This visit ordered the following: :: PANCIT BIHON - thin, translucent rice noodle with slivered carrots and chopped cabbage, Tapsilog Express' version is mild in flavor of garlic and soy and comes with sliced crispy pork belly. Never had it this way but delicious, the crispy pork belly added texture and hit the spot. :: CURED SWEET PORK was nicely marinated and sweet with a egg placed on top of the rice...ADDED fried chicken but wasn't expecting chicken wings...they might've been fried but if it was it was lost during takeout...as not even a hint of crisp was present and will pass on that next time as it was MEH :: HALO HALO - Filipino dessert with crushed ice, jackfruit, coconut, beans and ice cream - travelled well in 80 degree weather 10 mins away. This is my go-to spot in the East Bay for when I'm craving silog plates. I always rotate between tocino, longanisa, and bangus. I only ever order takeout, but I've never had any issues with my food, and orders are always prepped fresh. The staff is always very welcoming and always very sweet on the phone when I place phone orders. As for the food, it's decent and fair priced! It doesn't necessarily beat my mama's home cooked Filipino meals, but it can certainly satisfy a craving. Vinegar is always a must! & definitely recommend their pineapple juice drink. read more

Not good.... Not good at all!!!! I had the Pancit, it tasted OLD, OILY and DRY. Some of the Noodle was clumped together the Chicken in it was dry. I threw it away. The Lumpia wasn't a hitter either. They do not train the girls behind the counter the importance of manners. I've been there many times...and each time I want to leave before ordering. Well...this time I did. This place is legit. The food is really good and the portions are decent for a really low price. The liemposilog was a mound of crunchy fatty goodness. Crispy pieces of pork belly on a bed of garlicky rice and an egg on top, so simple but packed with flavor. The Shanghai lumpia are some of the best I've had. The pansit was okay, a bit on the bland side. The Halo Halo alone is the bomb.com and I would come here in a second just for that. It is soooo good. My cup was packed with fruit, strips of coconut, tons of sweet jellies, and generous scoops of ice cream. It truly is a party in your mouth full of different flavors and textures. We've been here twice and both times, we really enjoyed the food and the customer service! So far, we've tried bangussilog, longsilog and chicksilog. All are great and very tasty! We super love their pink vinegar too!! Itms perfect for everything! Only suggestion we have is that if they could use reusable plates and utensils instead of plastic utensils and containers. Ordered the sisig silog. It was NOT sisig. It was chopped pork on top of plain rice with what looked like Japanese mayo (why?!?!) and some sort of sauce that tasted like Mang Tomas and vinegar. There were no chili peppers, just red pepper flakes. And the pork was so soggy! I was so disappointed...I couldn't finish it. we were visiting san francisco and stopped by this place before heading back to LA. we understand we came in right after they opened but a nice greeting and a smile would at least have made us feel welcomed. the girls in the front gave us the blankest stare but i understand. we ordered 2 tapsilog, 1 tinapsilog, 1 sisig, liempo & bagnet. the toppings on the sisig complimented the food very well, however the pork itself was very salty. my brother said the liempo was very hard despite the tiny thin cuts. their tapa is shredded which i've never seen before, but it was good for my son to avoid choking. the beef itself tasted way too sweet and salty. it was very hard to take in once it sits for too long, especially for kids. it gets very oily and salty after 5 minutes. their halo halo is very good. this place has great servings but please avoid putting too much salt on the meats. read more

Decided to come try this spot when we had a silog craving and our typical markets had already stopped selling them. Before covid we used to go to the tapsilog express in downtown Hayward and loved them so we were hoping for the same experience here, and they didn't disappoint. The ladies working that day were all very friendly and helpful with the questions we had. There was a bit of a wait for the food but considering we watched all of our silogs made fresh we didn't mind the wait one bit. As for the food itself? It was delicious! We got their tocilogs, longsilog, and sisig silog. The food was perfectly proportioned out, the egg and the garlic rice went together perfectly. And their pink vinegar is still my favorite for my silogs! All in all we can't wait to come back and eat more of their delicious food! read more

COVID REVIEW It's what I remembered before COVID times and still just as homey. This is always my first place to order a tray of lumpia for any events. They've been clutch especially during and on holidays (make sure to call to check their hours because they are open, but close early). I try to call a few days in advance to place a tray order of lumpia (shanghai- roughly about 150 pieces in the tray for 55.99 +tax). Honestly, they've been really chill about it and are okay if you order same day and just give them enough time to fry it up for you. You also get a 16oz drink cup of sweet chili dipping sauce as well. The perfect crunch in eat bite and enough filling- perfect for any party! I do miss the drunken night days where this would be my last meal before Ubering home. However, during these chillier days of COVID times, a plate of silog is always the answer. I love the updated menu with pictures for each of the different silogs. I am a little bummed that the grilled chicken is gone, but it's been replaced with a different chicken! My last order was an a la carte lumpia, the longsilog, and the pancit. The longsilog was surprised about - not as sweet as other places I've been to but it was surprisingly savory! Always accompanying with a perfectly circular fried egg, a slice of cucumber and tomato, and always, garlic fried rice topped with fried garlic. The rice was a little mushier than I would have preferred. The pancit was 5.99 I believe and it was a good portion. Not too plain but nothing memorable. BUT, what made it worth it was the fried pork belly topping that came with it. It's missing something - the little packet of lemon juice wasn't enough to cut it. All in all, you can't go wrong picking this as your food choice and supporting local business. Easy to order in person or on the phone. I have tried the chicksilog, tosilog,bagnetsilog and the halo halo witch was very refreshing and tasty with all the gellys and fruit. The chicksilog was very delicious; the wings were nice juicy and tender and very savory, along with the rice and egg. I Also like the lumpia its very flavorful and crunchy to the bite ,the sauces also gave the plate even more flavor.
