The bartender recommended the Mexican lager which was basically a lime sour - I say this in the best way possible! I ordered two over the course of trivia and they went perfectly with the taco bar provided by Diego's next door. The space was so cool, like 90s grunge meets a brewery. On a warmer day I might have ventured to the patio overlooking the water (not directly, there is a parking lot). Another plus, super dog friendly! We'll definitely be back !

It was too chilly today to sit outside but the outdoor seating area and new mural look like a fun place to hang out with the water view right there (chairs don't look too comfy though, eek). The taproom has funky decor with local business stickers, horror movie memorabilia, mini toy machines, arcade games, and comfy bar stool chairs and armchairs. It's bigger in here than I imagined it would be. I got the Toasted Coconut Porter (love that it has a toasted note, you don't see that a lot). The first few sips were yummy but then it had a medicinal / syrupy note to it after that which I wasn't crazy about. The music is fun - heavy alt/indie/rock/emo vibes and ties in to the overall vibe of the decor and branding, I could see it being offputting to some if that's not your taste and you got a particularly heavy/screamy song, so head's up there. I like the vibe and want to hang out here again, so I'd try it again, although the types of beer they make aren't especially my favorites. Amazing location and will be fantastic to hang out once it's warmer!

The clam pieces were big, chewy, & fishy. ***My friend's vegan burger was placed in front of me & my gluten-free burger was placed in front of my friend. The employee dropping the food even asked "gluten-free over here?" before placing the vegan burger in front of me. We self-corrected this at the last possible second, because my friend cut into her burger & just as she was about to take a bite she realized it was real meat. This could've been a disaster for both of us. May I suggest those little toothpicks for marking allergies & whatnot? Visiting Jealous Monk was a very average experience. The whole food situation was just so Sysco - I'd rather just cook at home. I think this is a good spot for large groups & beer enthusiasts.

This was a lovely experience, and one I wouldn't mind repeating…read more West Passage is right across from the Smith's Castle entrance on Post Road. Yes, it is a brewing company. Yes, there is a bar, BUT it is also a treasured North Kingstown breakfast spot. We arrived on Saturday morning--not crazy busy, but busy enough that having only one server and the owner working at around 10 a.m. did not bode well. That concern quickly faded once we placed our orders. The owner was gracious and helpful and did a good job managing the pace. Our party of three ordered the French Toast TX style -- from a very finicky member of our party making specific customizations -- all accommodated with a smile, a Crow's Nest Benny, and, for me, Tres Quesadilla. Hands down, this was the best presentation of a breakfast quesadilla I have ever ordered. Why? Just look at the accompanying picture. The tortillas were cut into smaller, easier-to-handle, triangular pieces. Tortillas can be messy to eat. The salt potato home fries are probably one of the Top 5 I've ever had in my life. No, really. Very subjective, yes, but if you like your home fries crispy on the outside and not soggy on the inside, flavorful--then you might agree. There are high-top tables and regular tables inside -- plenty of light streaming through the place. You can even have breakfast at the bar. There's also outside seating. The foyer with the living-room-style seating is charming and cozy. I've already been thinking about going back for drinks and sitting in this area. If you don't mind a little drive for brunch and want to try something far from the madding crowd of Providence, this would be it.

It's definitely one of the better brewery locations in the area. Now let's talk about the beer. Is it good? Yes. Is it great? Not really. I've had several of their beers and while they're all pretty solid, nothing has really blown me away. My favorite is the Juggernaut Double NEIPA. That's my GO TO when I'm here and probably the beer I'd recommend trying first. Overall, Apponaug is worth checking out. The beers are decent, but the location is what really makes this place stand out. Would I go out of my way just for the beer? Probably not. Would I come back to have a few beers along the river on a nice afternoon? Absolutely.
