HIDDEN GEM OF DOWNTOWN PHX!! prices, food, decor, beer/wine selection is all 10/10. I don't know just this place isn't alway packed. The manager is so kind and goes out of his way to get to know customers and make them feel valued. Both times I have come here. We're on holidays are days that you wouldn't think you'll be able to get a table. But they always come through! Great spot, get in before it blows up! read more

A fun place to try some different beers and wine. The staff were friendly and attentive. We just came for drinks, but they have a food menu if you want to eat too. They brought us a dish of pretzels to nibble on while we drank. They have a nice patio area with a pretty mural on the wall. If you're having dinner in the downtown area, I highly recommend stopping here for drinks first. read more

Such a unique concept! They have a wide variety of local and craft beer. If you're a Coors or Bud person this spot isn't for you. It's fun to pick your own drinks and even create you own tasting! They usually have about 5 wines that are pretty tasty! The pretzel was great and I love the pretzels they give you complimentary. Someone mentioned bad service but that may have been when they were new. Service was great and very attentive. We'll be back! read more

I spent my Sunday evening here. My friend and I were just walking around, exploring, and stumbled across this place. We had just finished eating, so I didn't get to try the food or drinks. But, I did look at the menu and the house wings and truffle fries looked enticing. I'm definitely going to try the wings out next time I go! Though, my friend and I didn't eat, our server was super nice and helpful. He came to check on us periodically to see if we were still good without food or drinks. He made sure that I at least had some water, since it was hot, which I appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxing and chill. They were playing old school hip hop/rap music like 2Pac, Warren G, Wu-Tang, DMX, etc. But, I was so cozy and comfortable, that I felt right at home -- I was so comfy that a couple hours just flew by, unnoticed! Moreover, when you first come in, you'll see a shelf with games on it. So, that's what my friend and I spent all of our time doing. We played Checkers and Sorry. But, I really enjoyed my Sunday evening here. I'm in walking distance to the bar, so I'll be back soon. Probably next Sunday! read more

I really like the concept of this place and would like to visit when they are not so busy. You have to "recharge" your drinks after 2 drinks. My husband and I were trying to share a tap card so that made it difficult with having to reset it constantly. The line to have this done was so long. Love the building! Super cool building and great beer selection! Love the ability to pour as little as you want if you don't want a full pour. Loses half its points because the restroom is outside with the doors wide open. Meaning if it's 110 degrees outside, guess what, it's 112 in the restroom. Think restroom at a local park, exact same experience! So if your local park has outdoor restroom in Phoenix, just know it's exactly like that when you need to use the restroom here. Pretty amazing to think that whoever owns this establishment was like like, yeah, make the indoors awesome, but make the restroom experience like a totally awful experience! Pick any fast food restaurant or truck stop gas station and you'll have a better restroom experience than what you'll find here. read more

This restaurant's bar concept is very cool. A wall of beer (and a few wines) that you can sample and ultimately pick which one you want a full glass of is fun. Plus you pay for the beverages by the ounce. Then there is the food. I was there with 2 friends - we picked 3 entrees to share the Mac N Cheese, Tacos and poutine fries. All super yummy! I can't wait to go back in the Fall and sit on the patio. read more

I'd recommend offering a tutorial on how to pour beer when you give people the keys, or alternatively record a quick video that plays on one of the TVs above the drafts. Nice, clean place to grab drinks with your friends. However, my food was terribly salty (if you're in control of the food and are reading this, fix your gravy for the poutine). The meat was great but lost my appetite after a few bites. My friends seemed to enjoy the flatbread. The two stars aren't because of the food. It was because of the horrible service. So horrible it left me confused on what actually happened: Quinn, our flat, unwelcoming server had an interestingly high amount of attitude. After complaining about the salty poutine, she gave me attitude when I requested removing the charge. No empathy. No apology. No customer service. The manager also didn't seem to care. Very interesting experience which left me and my party wanting to avoid this place in the future... and scratching our heads. With that rant out of the way, I truly hope whatever our server was going through gets better. But please don't mix your personal life with work. Especially compromising the integrity of the company you're working for. If you want a drink, which bypasses the servers completely, this place has interesting options. read more

I love the concept, the service not so much, long story short, it took 25 mins to get our food order taken, the staff kept waking by and were never acknowledged, we had to ask them to take our order,waiter came back twice and ask to repeat our order, waited over 45 mins to get our food. Got a random piece of toast with our food, asked for ketchup amd hot sauce...... never got it. I almost debated giving this place 2 stars, but I do like the idea of being able to try beers from a bunch of different breweries in small (or large) quantities. My problem with it, though, is that they only have local AZ beers. Most of them I'd already tried, and the actual breweries were within walking distance from this place. I would've gladly paid a premium to try beers from all over the state (or country) that I haven't tried before, but almost all the beers were from breweries in Phoenix. And for that, it's incredibly overpriced for what it is. It does have a good location, though. read more

Two words: breakfast chiliquiles. They're available on the breakfast menu during the weekend. Try them with scrambled eggs, it's amazing. They have a badass beer wall and you pour the beer yourself. It's fun to try many different beers without having to pour a whole pint, or wait for someone to serve me. Food service is full service, and it's a nice hybrid concept. This place is absolutely awesome. When I go to a bar, usually the place does really well in one area and not so great in the next. The beer could be fantastic but the food lackluster or both might be good but the ambiance is not that enjoyable. Rarely do you find a place where everything is really good and this place is one of them. I have been coming here for a little while now so this isn't a review from a one time experience but instead a collective of visits and here is what I love about this place: - The beer is constantly changing and I am always trying the different kinds they put out. Most of them I could drink over and over (because I am not the biggest IPA fan but I can drink them every now and then) - The food is actually very tasty. So far I have tried the mac and cheese, the veggie flatbread, and the BLT breakfast sandwich (yes this place serves breakfast but not all day and it is delicious). Everything was very good and very much compliments the awesome selection of beer - The servers there are very nice and welcoming and even the owner would walk around to greet customers and have great conversations with us. We hosted a group of 30 people at Tap That. The service was incredible! They were able to get our group in last minute, and absolutely went above and beyond to take care of us. The self-serve options was nice for our large party, but Rosa and Macalister did not disappoint with service throughout the evening. Spicy chicken Alfredo had lots of chili and red pepper flakes. Very little chicken. Barely edible because it was too overpowered with chili spice; but could have been the chef. My husband and I have visited Tap That four times now, 3 times for the after 1pm menu and once for breakfast. The first visit was phenomenal but each subsequent visit we became less enamored. Most of the food is pretty good. Some highlights were the Korean burger, chopped salad, wings with bbq sauce, burrito, and lemon merengue waffles. Not so great we're the flatbreads, Mac n cheese, and side of thick cut smoked bacon. The flatbreads were soggy, the Mac n cheese was nothing special, and thick cut bacon was waaay overdone. The biggest disappointment today was the volume of music during breakfast. They were playing dance club music so loud we couldn't speak to each other without yelling. We were one of two tables (the other with 2 children) and we asked them to turn down the music just a little and they refused. Ridiculous if you ask me. While serving breakfast an establishment should play time of day appropriate music and volume. Won't be back again. read more
