On our way to an event one night, we popped in here for some dinner beforehand. It's a café/restaurant, but definitely leans more towards café. They don't have a bar, so it's bring your own - although there is a £2.00 charge per wine bottle and a £1.00 charge per beer bottle so be wary. There are pros and cons to this place, the service is efficient and pleasant, and the atmosphere is nice, with the busy Dublin Road outside. What I didn't like was that the telly was on quite loudly on the wall, so it gave the feeling of being in someones living room or the waiting room in the doctors. My starter was not nice at all - chicken satay, it had obviously been sitting out for a while and was tough and chewy. Mum got ribs but they had a pathetic amount of meat on them. The mains were like they had come from a different kitchen - honey chilli chicken (for me) and plum duck (for mum) absolutely gorgeous, and generous portions too. So it totally saved the day and I'm going to write the chicken satay off as a one off! Reasonable prices too, when you see the portions.

Tao is my favourite noodle bar in Belfast, based on the ever popular Dublin road which makes it popular and really busy! We always ring for a takeout, though I have sat in before too, where I found the service great and the food just as good as always! If We're getting ready for a night out Tao is pretty much on speed dial and as a Beef Chow Mein costs a 5er its a bargain and leave more money on your pocket for the night ahead. The portions are really big and the food always comes hot and delicious- the standards never slip! I would definitely recommend Tao to any noodle lovers out there as you really cant get better for the price you pay here!

It was all bar snacks opposed to the actual dishes you see in the yelp pictures. However, I did end up enjoying the food nonetheless. We ordered the sweet chili stack fries which were really good and also the halloumi and cali fish tacos. I preferred the halloumi, my boyfriend preferred the fish. I got a passionfruit capirinha and my boyfriend got an apple cider, both were really good. Overall it was good, but if you're looking for something other than a burger or bar snacks, this isn't the place.

They were really funny and witty and helped us pick out items on the menu. We couldn't order from our phones because we didn't have a number that could receive sms messages to setup the account on our phones, which wasn't a big deal. My vegetarian friend got a veggie burger that he liked and the server said they had just added it to the menu that day. The fries were great and crispy, and everyone liked their sandwiches (some got burgers, some got chicken sandwiches).

But worth stopping in. Once inside, the space opens up and is very welcoming. I ordered the green eggs on toast, and it was delicious (the sausages are an add-on, and in hindsight was unnecessary). The poach was perfect, and that green sauce is divine! But... I hope you brought some dental floss or a toothpick, because you will surely have embarrassing green bits stuck in your teeth otherwise. Top quality brekkie! The OJ tasted fresh with bits of pulp in it (although they do pour it from a jug in their fridge) and the latte is of a good quality. Not busy on a Monday morning. Staff friendly, and chatty with some of the delivery people, who I assume they see on a regular basis. If in Belfast for an extended period of time, would not hesitate to dine here again.

There was a great selection of savory and sweet. I had poached eggs on sourdough. My friend had the French Toast, and it wasn't overwhelmingly sweet. There was fuzzy stuff on the French toast that looked like asbestos or fiberglass. It was not, it was soft and sweet, but it sure looked odd. The poached eggs on sourdough with pesto was amazing. I also got a side of bacon. It was perfection. There is a cool little shop too. If I am back in Belfast, I'll be sure to stop back.

TRIGGER WARNING: this review contains "minimally invasive creme hole" and "generously sized nuts"…read more First of - an absolute hipster dream when it comes to decor. Whoever their graphic designer is, id hire him to...idk. Design my. Life. The donuts were the centre of attention - are my photo of the window display, which was eye catching and immediately had me salivating. They've managed well with COVID, but only one person in the store at a time (a wee cramped space honestly). Might be a long wait at a peak time. We had the place to ourselves however. Ok, donuts; we had A vanilla glazed - just a "control" for the taste science experiment. I have to say it was delicious and fresh, weighty and "doughy". A Boston Creme - the creme was SO GOOD. As a former donut baker, I was impressed with the minimally invasive "creme hole". Nothing was leaky, and the creme itself had a great consistency. The chocolate on top was dark, textured, and great accent visually and for the palate. A chocolate noh-tella: which for a vegan donut tasted surprisingly "unvegan". The donut was dense and full flavoured regardless of the filling; the filling was more viscous than Nutella and had generous sized nuts. A apple chai : yet to eat but apple filled, infused with chai. Looks delicious. Unlikely to be a gimmick. Donuts are so often gimmicks; a crappy donut with some bright colour slapped on it to give it appeal. But a real donut is good regardless of how dressed up it may be; and for that, the vanilla glazed takes the cake. Or yeast. Or dough. Do have a pop in. Looks like their coffee was pretty good as well, although didn't partake this time. The worker was kind and put up with my extensive donut chat, even my creme hole chat. Poor woman. Give it a shot!

I went in here to get a quick bite and whip my laptop out. The decor is comfortable and there's plenty of space, so it's good for working. Yesterday I went fro their sandwich special which was The New Yorker. Although it was obviously pre made it still filled a whole and only cost £3.50. You'll struggle to get a cheaper lunch in Botanic. The staff were great - really attentive and polite - In terms of service it was excellent. They serve you at your table so there's no need to go to the counter. All in all if you're familiar with the Clements brand then you'll know what to expect. Nothing special but nothing disastrous either. A solid 3 stars.

Yes the leather seats may have you sitting at a weird angle due to wear, but it is still popular despite the local competition. While waiting for a meeting I enjoyed a little coffee there today. One of the highlights of this place for me is the people-watching. Students and business types, parents and first-daters are all here and the buzz is enough to distract from the serving of a latte in a tall thin glass. This is a pet peeve, mainly because I can be a spilly lady, but to kill time and watch the world go by, I'll overlook it.
