I also didn't have any issues finding parking in the lot right in front of building 35, but they do have a larger parking garage nearby as well. It's always a fun time to meet up to meet up with a friend or bring out of town friends on campus. 25 dollars for a 3 course meal is just unbeatable value, especially as I feel like the price tags in regular cafeterias have climbed a bit. The portion sizes of the entrees can vary quite a bit in size though as I've had the scallops, which are delicious but quite tiny vs my latest turkey burger sandwich with fries was a massive meal. Dessert tends to be where In.gredients shines with the sweet and tangy lemon mousse paired with the shortbread was definitely the highlight.

I love every dessert I've had here and the menu rotates every month or so. The chicken cream sauce pasta was so good and a very generous portion! Sometimes the appetizers can be a hit or miss but I've never been disappointed in the two times I've come here. Highly recommend trying this place out if you're a Microsoft employee/have a friend employee friend.

We made a reservation on Resy (which is really great if you have American Express because they have a special dining compensation program through Resy). Brittany was our server, and fantastic. We started with the martini espresso and a cappuccino heavy on the foam. My friend ordered the tender pulled beef short ribs with pan roasted potatoes that came topped with perfectly fried eggs. I ordered the shrimp and grits with eggs over easy. The grits were so creamy and wonderfully hot, temperature hot not spicy, and the shrimp came flavored in a sauce that is hard to describe but very easy to eat. Conversation was possible because it wasn't too loud and the seating was fantastic, not tight or packed together, and there was in fact a really wonderful covered patio space outside complete with attractive center table and decor of lights. For her birthday there was a lemon ricotta cheesecake that was perfectly doused in cherry sauce with optional Graham powder crust circling the moist and light cheesecake. Came with a sparkler which made for the perfect occasion to take a birthday photo. And even complementary many pours of champagne to toast. I don't know if there's a better place to dine in Bothell. Make a reservation and then expect to be impressed by both the food and the service. We were. Thanks Brittany for making the occasion such a memorable one.

I made a reservation for patio seating and when we arrived, I walked inside, shared my name and reservation, and was directed to our table by one of the hostesses. We had a party of five + a pup! Everyone ordered the Cottage Burger while I treated myself to the short rib hash to try something different. Service was excellent! Our waitress came over to take our order and when we got our drinks, we were checked once again and was notified our food was coming shortly. Food arrived fresh, hot, and delicious! All in all, giving The Cottage another chance after I've been coming here for years before the takeout experience has reminded me the quality of customer service and food stayed the same pre-Covid and post-Covid. Thank you to Madison and the wonderful staff!

Oh my goodness, if you get anything at DERU, GET THE CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER CAKE PLEASE…read more It's been a few weeks since I've gotten it and I still think about that cake. (I haven't justified buying a whole cake for myself, but I truly want to--and am tempted to do so) The food is great and I'd love to go back. I went on a Monday, so it wasn't as busy as it would be on the weekend. The servers are kind, and you typically order from a QR code unless you're having a hard time (and they'll help you!). Quiet space. Some parking available on site but it can get busy on the weekends from what I've heard.

Cute little place with good food and informal setting. Their dishes are pretty nicely thought out…read morebut oftentimes a number of them will be "out of stock" even leading into dinner time, but this is understandable if that's because they're aiming for freshness. What is not so great is that they've replaced human interaction and paper menus with a QR code based menu (annoying but becoming more common) and the only way to order is also through your phone (this is the part that is not common and really sucks). Been to DERU twice. First time my phone wouldn't let the order submit after polling everyone to put what they wanted into the "cart". Eventually some poor fellow who worked there had to use his little iPad and we all had to repeat ourselves to recreate the order after we'd already done the exercise on my phone. Second visit same thing- this time we had to recreate the order a few times on different peoples phones in our party until one of them could finally submit the purchase, and then they immediately started getting emails they weren't expecting as an outcome, their cell phone number was on our order ticket- so beware when you think you're just providing your credit card info- you're actually giving much more than that. We gathered for dinner to spend quality time together in real life and to get away from our phones but because of DERU's ordering system we instead spent the first 20 minutes of our dinner all on our phones. Then during the meal people would finish their glass of wine and want another- phone comes back out! This happened throughout the meal because, shockingly, people don't finish their glasses of wine at the same time, so all in all someone was pretty much on their phone close to the entire meal. Quite antithetical to the goal of human interaction and enjoying a nice dinner together. If they got rid of this ridiculous phone based menu and ordering system I would double my rating AND my tip. But at this point I may not come back for awhile.

We had a lovely time at Fork and Spoke with delicious food and the friendliest staff. Tickets/reservations are purchased ahead of time from Eventbrite for this pop-up event. We had our lunch reservation for 1pm on a Saturday, and there weren't many people inside, which was fine by us. They did have the banana leaves on all the tables for the kamayan, which is a traditional Filipino feast where you eat with your hands as the food is spread out on the banana leaves. When we sat down, we were welcomed by our friendly server who gave us our complimentary kiwi waters and the feast soon came out with an assortment of fried tilapia, pork belly, sisig, chicken adobo, Pancit Canton, tomatoes and red onions, rice and fresh fruit. For the two of us, it was a huge amount as any kamayan feast tends to be. It was truly fantastic. My partner and I both left full and satisfied. We also ordered the bibingka for an additional charge for our dessert, which was also delicious. Super cool to get Filipino food on the Eastside, which is hard to find, too. I'm so glad we discovered this event at Fork and Spoke as hotel restaurants normally aren't known as the first place you go to for food. Located in the Garden Inn in downtown Redmond, the restaurant has this cool pop-up on a quarterly basis, along with their standard dining food they offer for hotel guests and the public. The staff could not have been friendlier. I definitely will be back for more Filipino pop-ups here!

The Barking Frog was actually completely booked, but I had an OpenTable alert added, and as we were driving to the venue, I got an alert that there was a table open in the bar! I was super excited to try this new place! We sat in the bar and we ordered some cocktails- they were both very good. Service was a bit slower than we're used to, perhaps because we were sitting in the bar. Eventually, someone came around and took our order for our entrées. I ordered the duck breast and my husband ordered the King salmon. As for the duck breast, it was plated absolutely beautiful, I found the flavors to be pretty underwhelming. The seared rice cakes that it came with really did not offer much to the plate. So unfortunately, I felt my entrée fell a little flat for me. My husband, however, absolutely loved the King salmon and said it was one of his top dishes that he has tried. The ambience in the restaurant itself is fantastic. It's beautifully done and a great area and very easily walkable to the winery. We will definitely come back and give it another try as there were several other entrées. Obviously the person on the grill wasn't trained or wasn't paying attention. Pacing was also a problem. Waited pretty long to order. Then salads came while we were finishing last bites of the appetizer. Then entrees came while I was literally in the middle of my salad. Talk about rushed. That salad would have been good if the shaved parm had been shaved. However, the pieces of parm were huge - really thick. Can't imagine who would think that was a good bite on a salad. The Broccolini was half cooked. I could barely cut the stem with a steak knife. Obviously. I couldn't eat those stems. They did not have a flight of wine that was all reds (i don't drink white wine). So why 4 stars instead of less? The mushroom toast appetizer was fantastic. I shouid have stopped there and would have been happy. The ceasar dressing and large crouton were good, even if the shaved parm was a bust. Once the steak was served to me medium as I'd ordered it, it was delicious and the fries were crispy and went well with the steak. I enjoyed the glass of wine I ordered. I hope they get their act together - such potential!
