I called Tankless Concepts for a "second opinion" on a recommendation by another contractor that I install a whole-house water filter to protect my Navien tankless. They discovered that the other contractor had not replaced the part he had charged me for. They installed the part that needed to be replaced. Plus Tankless advised that I did not need the water filter. The service tech was 100% transparent about everything he was doing, and arranged to get paid under warranty by Navien rather than charging me for this service. I had a tankless water heater installed in my old house and I just moved to this house. The water heater was having issues, so I called several companies for a tankless water heater, and they were by far the best company. I had concerns about how long it takes to get hot water in this big house. They gave me great recommendations for recirculation systems and wireless remote / smart app to control the system. Now I can just set the temp, enable recirculation a couple minutes before turning the shower on full hot and enjoy my shower at the exact temp I want for as long as I like. They know what they are talking about, did a top-notch professional install and were much less expensive than the other two companies. I highly recommend Tankless Concepts! read more

Our home came with a new tankless water heater that started having problems after a gas company visit. I thought it might need repair and contacted Tankless. Unfortunately they didn't service my brand but they provided some very helpful suggestions for pursuing the matter further. Several months later we decided we'd given up on our water heater and I contacted Tankless again. We arranged to have someone come out and provide an estimate for what it would cost to install one of the models they offer. A Very informed young man came and took some notes and pictures. There was a question about whether my home had enough gas pressure to support a tankless device. Linda at Tankless leveraged her multiple connections at the gas company to get to the root of the problem. Within days we had a gas company visit and the second seems to have solved the problem. We were really at wits end and found that nobody besides this company had any clue of how to proceed. Linda Cahill helped guide us through the scheduling and permit process, and Brent Talley and his crew came out and installed a new gas line. His team ran an internal line through a bulkhead so there was no ugly (and potentially dangerous) gas line running along the outside of our house (that kids could hang on). He also recommended a 2 PSI gas meter (which helped ensure that we had sufficient pressure to power all of our appliances simultaneously). After completing a whole house renovation, I neglected to check the water temperature on each faucet before signing off on the plumber. Tenants moved in and told me that they were only get lukewarm water at best from the shower, but hot water from every other faucet. Needless to say my mind was racing and thoughts of opening walls and examining water supply lines was running through my mind. My original contractor would not take my calls, but since my tenant needed hot water, I needed an alternative. I looked up certified Rinnai tankless hot water installers and two showed up; Tankless Concepts was one. I left messages for both and Tankless Concepts was the only one to call me back. After a few minutes on the phone, it was diagnosed that the issue could be the regulation valve, which controls the flow of hot water in the shower. With that knowledge, I asked my neighbor who was a plumber - Tankless Concepts does not do traditional plumbing - to take a look at it. He solved the problem with the friends and neighbor discount! Any other company could have used my lack of knowledge in this area to take advantage of me. When I do my next renovation project, I will definitely be giving my business to Tankless Concepts. Our tankless water heater stopped working, so we had no hot water. We had another plumbing company come out three times to look at it, and they would basically restart the system. It would work for a day or less after the reset, and then would stop working completely again. It became apparent that they really didn't understand tankless systems and couldn't get to the root of the problem. Out of desperation, I searched for companies with tankless experience and came across Tankless Concepts. While the troubleshooting did take a couple of visits, Brent was determined to get our system up and running again (and it has been running now for 2 months without any further issues). When it was finally determined that we needed a new computer to make the system operate reliably again, he worked with Navien to get them to provide us one free of charge, even though we were outside of our warranty period. Brent was always available by phone/text to let me know when parts had arrived and when he would be able to stop by, and he was always on time and worked quickly. And I was really pleased to see that the final bill was really reasonable. I hope that we won't have any issues in the future, but if we do, I won't waste any time with other plumbers. I waited 9 months before I write this review. We discovered our Rinnai RU98 unit was not working when we got home after work yesterday. It showed code 11, which meant the the ignitor was not working. We had to take cold showers. The next day, a tech was sent to diagnose the problem. Rinnai was unwilling to pay for overnighting a replacement part so that it would arrive on Saturday, which meant that we would have had to wait 3 more days until we get hot water. Mind you that the unit was under warranty for parts and labor. It was a great thing that TC decided to get a new unit and swap out the broken part so that we wouldn't have to wait any longer. TC gets two thumbs up, while Rinnai gets two thumbs down for poor reliability and poor customer service and poor tech support. read more

My tenant called to inform me of a leaking hot water heater in the condo they rent from me. The hot water heater provides space heat (aqua therm system) and domestic hot water. By the end of the day I had to shut off the gas and the tenants moved out until I could get heat and hot water back into the condo. For some time I had intended to research tankless hot water systems but now my back is against the wall. They were completely forthcoming with all the details of the install from how he made the decision of where to install the exhaust (with my input) to the breakdown of the costs. All permits, inspections, and Washington Gas interactions were handled professionally and efficiently. My gas line from Washington Gas had to upgraded to accommodate the new tankless heater. The actual install took less than a day and couldn't have gone smoother. The workmanship is beautiful. I found out about Tankless Concepts via the Better Business Bureau web site which I cross-checked against Yelp and Angie's List. They returned my calls promptly, understood my need for great customer service, sent a knowledgeable, professional, senior installer to quote the job and recommend a water heater model and got it installed quickly. All permits prior to the start of work and coordination with the gas company was taken care of and I was given clear instructions on the follow up inspection. Brent provided superb customer service when our Rinnai tankless heater seemed to be not sending hot water to our air handler. Our A/C technician couldn't find anything wrong with the air handler or pump, and Brent walked me through a couple ideas on the phone before deciding whether to come. In the end, he realized a simple tapping of a valve connecting the Rinnai to our a/c unit that our condo builder had installed in a weird position did the trick. The fact that he called me back on a Saturday morning and tried to troubleshoot before charging me for a visit, and came on short notice once I hit a dead end with the A/C unit, made me a very grateful customer. read more
