I have been here a handful of times. My wife, in laws and kids like having breakfast here after church. Their food is good. I am not a fan because the service I always seem to get here is terrible. Basic things seem to be hard for this staff. This past Sunday when the food came out, everyones food came out except mine. Waited at least 5 minutes for mine to come out. Not overly a big deal because usually when I go out with my kids, my food comes out first and not theirs. I think if kids are at a table and if you don't bring out all the food at once then theirs should come first. Some of my family members ordered pancakes and waffles. No syrup was offered. The food sat their for a few minutes before I could ask one of the other members of the staff for syrup. My kids wanted ketchup, I had to ask the table next to us because the waitress wasn't around. I over heard the people at the table next to me complaining about the service as wel. I asked for an additional drink, it never came. A few weeks ago, I ordered take out. 20 minutes later when I went to pick it up, the lady at the counter told me the order was never put through. I walked out. Every time except once that I have been here, there seems to be at least one issue with the waitresses. I don't usually write reviews because it feels like a waste of time but if you want descent food you can check this place out. Don't hold your breath for descent service. read more

Hi, We just left your establishment. So I'll start with the pros: Food was TOP NOTCH. Very good, well seasoned and decent size portions. The decor of the restaurant is well thought out and friendly as well. We felt comfortable in the environment and welcome. Cons: the service was EXTREMELY lacking and the reason for the 3 star review. Our waitress, Nicole was NOT attentive. We had on numerous occasions, asked the tall man at the host table, who I'm assuming is Alex? to step in and provide customer service that she should've provided. Such as, asking for water (which took 25mins), asking for extra coffee creamer (again, a significant amount of time, in which Alex, I'm assuming, had to provide it). Also, when it was time to leave we had to wait 10mins for the check, and another 10-15mins for the check to be picked up. Our food took about a good 20-30 mins to come out, even though people who sat down after us, had their food provided to them. We also felt that she showed more attention to an older couple, and other more familiar couples in the restaurant, along with laughing and joking, while we patiently waited for our items. Because we had to wait for more coffee creamer, our coffee ended up being cold and not edible. We also noticed that when we provided the check, Nicole was spoken to by the manager, I'm assuming and flipped her hands in the air, looked toward us, like it was our fault or something We wouldn't mind coming here again, in order to change a 3-star to a 5-star. But, we feel that for a first time customer, this was a BAD experience. read more

Went for breakfast with my son. Place was packed on a Saturday but seating was ongoing and prompt. Overall the restaurant is nice, clean and kid friendly. The food was good but my waitress was definitely not great. She forgot to put in something I ordered, then she asked what I needed and midway through my answer she started waiting on the next table. To put the cherry on top, she then charged me for my neighbors check and then had to refund me and charge me which took forever. Had she been better, my rating would be too. read more

As a vegetarian often searching for new and exiting options beyond scrambled eggs- this place really takes the cake! My family brought me for the Hippie Hash- a vegan (though you wouldn't know or care!) skillet dish of perfectly crisp tofu, onion, peppers, and potatoes (plus mushrooms- if they're your thing). With their multigrain toast- it is hands down one of the best meals I have ever had. Let me start by saying the wait staff are great, really attentive and nice. The food, however needs to be revamped. I had avocado toast with poached eggs. It was cold, and avocado spread not fresh or tasty. The same old potato hash, did nothing for the dish. I would recommend a lighter menu with less fat, perhaps some avocado slices on toasted bread and poached egg on top, and instead of hash, some potato nuggets on side. Not everyone eats such large sides -- I would rather have better lighter choices and smaller sides, Coffee is great though. read more

We were really excited to try this place because there are hardly any really good breakfast/brunch spots in the Drexel Hill area. So we had high hopes for this restaurant but unfortunately it did not live up to the hype. The food was just okay. I ordered a Dutch Baby, which is supposed to be a light, warm "popover" styled pancake served with squeezed lemon, butter, and powdered sugar. It is baked in the oven and delates or falls soon after being removed. I have had this dish in restaurants all over the country but the one I was served at Tank & Libby's was barely edible. It was basically like someone poured buttermilk pancake batter into a deep cast iron pan and put it in the oven thinking that it would magically become a Dutch Baby. This deep dish pancake came out burned and was really heavy and dry. The restaurant is your standard strip mall place - noisy with lots of tables and not a lot of booths. Our waitress seemed to disappear while we eating so my glass of iced tea sat empty and was never refilled. We were not impressed but since it is a new place, we may give it one more try. But if we do try it again, I will order something other than the Dutch Baby. read more

First time here but we will be back! It was empty on a Wednesday morning at 7:30. Customer service was great and it was cute inside. The pancakes were crispy on the outside but light and fluffy inside. My boyfriend has a huge appetite and I was shocked when he couldn't finish them he was so full. I ordered the French toast. Great place for breakfast and lunch. Large menu and everything sounded terrific. I ordered the Piggie sandwich....pulled pork with broccoli rabe, long hots n provolone cheese. Absolutely delicious. We had brunch today and it was great. The wait was 20 minutes we got there at the end of the breakfast crowd and before the lunch crowd. I had the Smoked salmon, scallion hollandaise Bennies cooked perfect. My wife had the special pumpkin buttermilk pancakes with whipped cream and nuts. Both were great but beware the coffee is very strong as my wife found out. And our server was friendly and very good. We now found our favorite brunch place. read more

My friend and and I ate here yesterday and were delighted at both the food and service. We arrived early and were told it wasn't open for another 10 minutes but the server took our drink order and seated us. She came back at the opening time and took our order. The food was wonderful and the bacon was done EXACTLY as I ordered which is rare to find! This seems like a small thing but it isn't to me -they have the best orange juice around. I have eaten here before and never been disappointed- wonderful quality food. Recently I had gotten the take out during the recent closing due to the pandemic and that was good as well. Eww. These folks are so focused on amenities and intangibles that they're unable to prepare and serve a simple breakfast platter. My eggs were prepared over well and not over medium. The potatoes (which I did not order) reeked of rancid oil and what smelled like disinfectant. The bacon was edible but just barely. Finally, the coffee is just plain lousy -- acidic to the point of being unbearable. To his credit the chef came out to check in with me but he offered nothing tangible other than the stock question, "What can I do to set things right?" I wasn't charged for my meal (but I was charged for the awful coffee). Here's my suggestion: Stop pretending to be a yupscale dining establishment. Lower your absurdly high prices. Fire your kitchen staff. Stop serving food that smells like a chemical spill. Good luck... read more
