All communication was done by email with a couple text messages. Cheyberries responded to all inquiries and follow up questions in a timely manner. Before committing, I ordered a sample cake box so my family and I could taste the cake. We choose vanilla batter with blue buttercream icing on the inside and outside. Everyone agreed that the cake was good, so we placed a deposit for the cake. We also received a dozen free cupcakes through one of her promotional emails. On the day of the event, Cheyberries delivered the cake directly to our venue on time. Long story short, the cake turned out even more beautiful than I imagined and was one of the highlights of the event. It was literally the talk of the room! For example, I have been to plenty of events where people politely take a slice of cake, but I have never seen guests go back for seconds and finish the entire cake before the event was even over. There were people asking for more cake to take a slice home but it was all devoured! It really was that good. Not only was the design stunning, but the cake tasted just as amazing as it looked. The cupcakes looked absolutely delicious, and more importantly, the ICU staff genuinely appreciated the gesture. It meant so much to be able to support my friend and her family from afar, and Krista made that possible with such care and thoughtfulness. The zucchini must make them naturally moist and they stay moist for days--if they aren't eaten on the first day we buy them. My family has enjoyed cupcakes from Sugar from the Heart for 10+ years. They've stayed consistently delicious and the quality has never wavered. My oldest daughter is my peanut butter lover so her go to birthday treat used to be their chocolate peanut butter cupcakes and even though she still loves them the zucchini cupcakes have surpassed them. I think the zucchini cupcakes have a brown butter frosting that is this cupcake's perfect partner. It really seems to be a family run business. There are two young men who might be one of the owner's sons and they are both friendly and kind. Like their mother. I came in for a customized Chivas themed birthday cake. Inside there were not many people yet, but…read moreit all looked tidy and clean. The staff was very attentive and friendly. After requesting to place an order for a cake I would need the next day the staff was more than happy to accept my order. Originally, I would have liked to order a carrot cake but those cakes need to be ordered at least a week in advance so that was very much my fault. I ended up going with a classic tres leches cake which tasted wonderful. Miriam was the one to help me out. Bonus points for having the same name ;) Miriam made great detailed questions to make sure the cake was exactly what I wanted it to be referencing off a picture I had showed her as inspiration. From size all the way down to the smallest details, Miriam disclosed information about how certain designs or details I wanted would change the presentation of the cake, and made sure I was delightlfuly satisfied with what would be the result. She broke down every last detail including how the icing would likely stain our mouths and very nicely reassured me that it would rise right off with water swishes. Overall I was incredibly satisfied with the service I was given, and I greatly appreciate how Miriam thought about every question in order to complete my desired vision.
