We ordered the dumplings, Mongolian Beef and the General Chicken. The dumplings were bland, over sized, and seemed like just meatballs wrapped. The Mongolian Beef was not spicy and really the worst I've had from the area's delivery Chinese. The chicken was typical fried and dripping in a sweet sauce. Will not be ordering again. read more

I have been frequently coming here a few times since they open, and each time has either been a hit or miss. Now my biggest biggest complaint is that they seem to mess up on orders often and the lunch portions seems a bit smaller compared to when it just opened. If you are ordering to go triple check your bag and if you made special request make sure you check your bag/order before leaving. I asked for no peanuts in my kung pao chicken (because they put way way too much peanuts) and they often forget and still put it in. Also they tend to mess up on whether you ordered white rice, fried rice or brown rice. read more

I'm always in the mood for Chinese food, and so glad Tang's is nearby. I've ordered online through the Yelp app and had no problems thus far, maybe because it's always a simple order for one (one entree, served with steamed rice, no extras or add-ons). The serving portion is generous, I always have difficulty finishing my meal, but do so anyway because it's so yummy. Even with the drive home, my food is still hot and steaming as I open the boxes. Food is good, although nothing extraordinary; maybe if I chose to dine-in, the flavor and experience would improve. The dining room looks clean, open, and modern, but it is always empty when I come in to pick up my order, usually a Friday evening, prime weekend dinner time. The girl at the register is very friendly and goes over my food order with me before I take it out of the restaurant. I've only ever seen one other staff person cleaning tables or chilling out waiting for customers. read more

Was looking for a new Chinese take out and gave them a whirl. The 3 stars is because while it was fine it wasn't great. Tried Four treasures General Tsos Chicken Mongolian Beef The beef was the best to me with nice beef slices. The tsos was heavily breaded but not crazy. Four treasures was. Little light on the meat. Would I try it again? Yes but mostly because there aren't many options in pearland read more

If there was a way to leave no stars, I would do so! After landscaping all day I was too tired to cook and starving! I opened DoorDash to look at Asian food delivery and choose Tang's Kitchen based on the fact they deliver free w/$12 order (if you have DoorDash Pass) as well as had a 4.7/5 review status on that site. Food did arrive quicker than stated but that's the last positive thing I can say about this experience, and that had NOTHING to do with the restaurant! We ordered Beef Lo Mein, Chicken Fried Rice, WonTon Soup w/crispy wontons, Crab Rangoons, and two egg rolls. Beef was cartilaginous, noodles were over cooked/gelatinous, and sauce was overpowering with fish sauce yet bland with no other distinguishing flavors. Husband tried adding soy sauce packet that came with food to enhance flavor after trying two bites, but dish was not improved nor salvageable. Chicken fried rice was greasy, under seasoned, with very few vegetables, and tiny bits of only dark meat chicken. WonTon Soup was lukewarm, oversalted to the point of brininess, and the color of urine. In lieu of normal wonton wrapper dumplings in soup, it looked like thick tortillas twisted around a questionable meat mixture. Crispy wonton strips I requested with soup were oily, cold, and stale. The Crab Rangoons arrived cold with the filling part greasy soggy and the tops fried to the point of being so dark and hard it was inedible. In addition, filling was ALL cream cheese with not one speck of crab or krab (imitation crab meat) in six entire pieces. Egg rolls were frozen, not freshly made, then fried but even those arrived tepid. I love trying new restaurants and cuisines as well as being a strong advocate for local businesses. Unfortunately the "adventure" at Tang's was more of a misadventure as well as a complete and utter disappointment for my entire family AND an expensive mistake to make ($40!)... I would recommend if you're looking for delightful and flavorful Asian cuisine, especially the particular dishes we tried last night, then your best bet is Pei Wei! (Also on DoorDash!) read more

When we moved to this side of town Tangs was our first Chinese restaurant we tried and we loved it. Especially the bourbon chicken. That was a must Everytime I ordered. I can't even tell you how many times I've ordered Tangs for pick up and delivery. Well once during a delivery I told the lady on the phone bill pay cash for the tip, thinking I had $2-5.00 somewhere in my purse. Well I didn't have the tip money, apparently my hubs used it to buy something at the gas station. The one time I told him sorry I don't have any tip money, the Chinese delivery driver started cussing me out... I swear, it was funny but then it wasn't. Like how are you mad the one time I didn't tip but I come buy from y'all all the time, anyways never again, I don't feel comfortable buying from tangs anymore, the lady was apologetic, even comped some meals for me that I havent even ordered yet, she promised that the guy would never deliver my food, but I still don't trust it. I'm sorry tangs... y'all were good until your employee decided to take matters into his own hands. read more

First Chinese food stop living in Pearland. Good food and service. Nice casual atmosphere

Staff was extremely professional and the food was delicious. I look forward to coming back here often.

Great food and large portions. As with any new restaurant, they still have some kinks to work out with regard to service, but definitely worth trying again! -Would also be a great place to order take-out. I ordered beef and broccoli which was very flavorful, covered in a great sauce and loaded with meat! The meal came with 2 sides and I chose to get two egg rolls (normal sized, not the mini ones). Ended up with a leftover egg roll and beef-brocc-rice which I am now enjoying for breakfast! read more

We recently catered from them for a church event at our house. Really satisfied with the food. We orders butter chicken with sesame beef and garlic eggplant. The garlic eggplant was the star of the show! Good dishes, good service overall. read more

Not sure where all the stars came from, but NO. NOT GOOD. The wings are just fried wings, no flavor, no spice, no nothing. Nicely fried, but still bland. The lo mein was adequate only after adding garlic and soy sauce. LOTS of soy sauce. And the egg rolls? Undercooked, greasy and yuck. This was a very, VERY disappointing meal. Still looking for great Chinese in Pearland. read more

One word....DELICIOUS!! It's definitely worth your money. The portion sizes are great and the packaging of my food was neat and organized! Thanks Tang's Kitchen! read more

Tried Tangs after people have been commenting.. Wasn't a good experience for us. My husband ordered the Egg Foo Young and it was burnt. I ordered the bourbon chicken and although it looked good and glazed -- the chicken was very overcooked, hard, tough, and chewy. It tasted like it had been under a heat lamp and recooked too long and just tossed in the sauce. Fried rice was good though.. I'd wait it bit longer til they work the kinks out. Sounds very inconsistent in quality and service at the moment. read more

Don't expect delivery as stated. I wanted something close and within reasonable delivery time. Mine was supposed to be 45 minutes but took well over an hour. Worse than that, when I called to check delivery status I was asked to hold while she took another order, but did not put the phone on mute. I can hear the customer was at the restaurant and placed an order much bigger than mine and was told it would only take twenty minutes. When she came to take my call I cancelled. Doesn't make sense that mine would take 45 minutes and I live less than a mile away. Will not be buying from them again. I ordered from Silverlake instead and the service and food was better in my opinion. I will not tolerate this service from a restaurant with average tasting Chinese food and neither should anyone else especially during these days when restaurants need patrons. The postings in the neighborhood Facebook page is not very favorable. I should have heeded the warnings. read more

My husband and I frequent Tangs sometimes twice a month for as long as they have been open and have never been disappointed. Their egg rolls are THE BEST and our go-to entrees are: sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, And the fried rice. read more

Best Chinese I have had in a very long time!! If you are looking for a good place in Pearland, this is it. Service was friendly and attentive! Food was delicious and large portions, which means leftovers to take home, always a good thing!! read more

Lunch 2as ok, pretty Americanized Chinese. The twice cooked pork was just char siu, lacking in flavor. Food was just on par with Chinese buffet. read more

The noodle soup is Americanized. Bamboo is from a can and the broccoli comes with bugs. The appetizers are good.

Most of the food is okay, but the steamed dumplings are amazing. I will go back just for those and nothing else, probably 2 orders of dumplings as my meal. read more

On a Thursday morning (my Friday), I had a taste for Chinese food. Just moved back to Texas, previously lived in West University Place and, can I say, Pearland has grown soooo much in the last 4 years! This is a cute little restaurant, in a convenient spot, with plenty of parking. Ordered online, easy process, and at 10:47 AM, I selected the earliest time to pick up the order, 11:15 AM. Perfect, because I had a Zoom meeting at 12 PM, followed by several back to back telehealth appointments, starting at 1 PM. I get to the restaurant at 11:15 AM, and was told it would be a few more minutes because they "just opened". No problem, is what I said, because it wasn't. I'm a super patient person, but was confused because their posted hours on their website note a 10:30 am opening. But I will note that the "Google search" notes an opening time of 11 AM. But, many things have changed and aren't updated in this time of COVID. Thats okay. Someone else came in approximately 2 minutes after me and placed an order for 6 eggrolls, a shrimp spring roll, and a veggie spring roll (I'm a nurse practitioner, I pay attention to details, don't judge...and I was hungry, lol). So, 20 minutes later her order is ready, she leaves, and I'm still sitting there. Finally at 11:40, my order is ready, one of the lunch specials, Hunan Shrimp, fried rice, wonton soup and an egg roll. When I arrived at the restaurant, I specifically requested a small order of SS sauce for my egg roll, and wonton strips for the wonton soup (I've lived in enough states to know not to assume they'll automatically come with the soup.) When my order was handed to me, I was pressed for time, eager to leave, and relieved because I'd gotten a small headache as I sat there trying to think of a nice way to ask for a refund. I accepted the bag, briefly peeked inside, and was on my way. Arrived home...SS sauce? Check... Wonton strips? Nope! The extra lil' bag I saw on my brief inspection contained a fortune cookie, soy sauce, hot mustard and duck sauce. My fault because I should've taken it out and inspected it. (See? Told you. Wonton strips are just not a thing when ordering wonton soup for take out for some reason.) The soup was just okay. Not awful, but the broth had a weird aftertaste. The wonton itself was good. On to the rest... Hunan Shrimp had no flavor. Lots of veggies, I love veggies, but the broccoli tasted freezer burned, I counted 4 shrimp, and ALOT of sauce that was bland. Almost like a watered down brown gravy. And it's noted as "hot and spicy," absolutely no kick at all. Not even a little tingle. Thankfully, I keep sriracha, red peppers and/or flakes, and numerous types of chili paste on hand. So doctoring it up a bit was no issue, just not what I wanted to have to do. The lunch portion fried rice is what many places have moved towards, white rice, stir fried in a little soy sauce. Some places are gracious enough to stir fry an egg, and some sort of onion in it. Not here. In looking at reviews, I obviously have to order directly from the rice menu to get anything doctored up. The best part you ask? The egg roll. They do note on their menu that the egg rolls are a favorite, but of course my thoughts were "most places like to toot their own horn about something". They have plenty of other items on the menu, so maybe if I have extra time to kill/waste, I'll try them again. The hostess was very sweet, and kept apologizing for the wait. I love and appreciate good customer service, and I do realize I have no idea what their staffing situation was/is like. read more

My new favorite Chinese restaurant on the west side of 288. This might sound random, but I like how they cut their vegetables for the stir-fry entrées. Staff are friendly. read more

Poor customer service and very unprofessional staff. Went to pick up an order for DOORDASH customer. Waited over 40 minutes for the order. Come to find out the order was ready almost 10 minutes before he gave me the order. read more

Clean, Organized. Food was also delicious. My first time giving a 5 Star to a Chinese restaurant! read more

Went to this restruant today. I was amazed by how good the food quality and environment is in here. I have been living in Pearland for many years and have been suffering from those other existing Chinese restaurants' nasty food. Finally a good tasty Chinese restaurant opened here. Super excited and highly recommended! read more

4 stars because their website still won't recognize our address right down the road, and their fried rice (that comes with your meal) is not that great! The Tom Kha from here is pretty good - but not as good as Thai Spice on 518. Also, if they ask you a level of spice 1-2 is pretty spicy, so going up to 5, you're asking for it. It's definitely one of the better asian restaurants in town. It's close to our home, so it's convenient for us. read more

It is a decent place to order. I ordered their mooshu pork, it has flavor but it's not GREAAAAT. A friend of mine ordered the beef with broccoli, it was over salted by little. The hot and sour soup tasted great though. The delivery was fast and everything still hot and fresh. read more

If your looking for a great Asian food, friendly and quick service then this is your place. I came in and placed a Togo order and was out before I could finish reading a news article that I started during my wait. Impressively fast and impressively delicious. I have a hard time finding a place with great hot and sour soup but this place nails it. Tang's is reasonably priced and they give you great portions, what more can you ask for?! read more

Food is fantastic and fair priced!!!! Service was friendly and efficient. Made sure my drink was full. Food was brought out quickly. Definitely my new go to place!!!! read more

Always fast and delicious. Nice staff and prompt service. Reasonably priced. Plates are large.

I really enjoy eating lunch at Tang's. The staff is always nice. My favorite dish is Shrimp with mixed vegetables.

Waitress added 18% of gratuity on party of 3 without advance notice and kept saying that they do not get paid enough?? so unprofessional.

Holy Cow, this is amazing Asian Cuisine! The delivery driver was amazing, he helped me out so much in regards to the hassle it was in order to get my food to me, he was very patient and just one hell of a great delivery driver, the company should be thankful that they have him as an employee. I will be ordering from Tangs again and again! read more

It's great to see a new restaurant pop up so close to our house! We could practically walk here! The staff is super polite and the ambience is modern and rustic. And not to mention they are open on Christmas, which means this will be a new holiday tradition forThey are also very accommodating to our diet. We will definitely be back. read more

Ok so this is my first visit and absolutely my last!! Ever since Ruby's closed I've had a hard time anything comparable. The Mongolian beef was very sweet. I have NEVER eaten a sweet Mongolian dish so that was strike 1. The lo mein was SO SALTY! Very unappetizing.. my daughter was so disappointed as was I. Tasted like there was a splash of perfume in the dishes also. read more

Personally I can't really call this cheese food, due to its lack of flavor, Chinese food gives off a lot of flavor the dishes in had here do not, I would rank this place after panda express and pei wei, this America Chinese food need some work regarding its flavor. The service was not as bad as other reviews, I don't think there is anything wrong with third service. read more

The resturaunt is very clean. The staff was very pleasant. I was greated as soon as I arrived. I ordered hot and sour soup and the broccoli and beef added an egg roll and chicken terriaki. It took about 10 or 15 min. But I didn't mind waiting. I sat at a table and watched the Olympics. The hot and sour soup is so good. It has a good thick consistensy. The egg roll tasted like an egg roll. I wasn't expecting any life changing egg roll and I got a chicken terriaki skewer that was really delicious. It was hot and flavorful. Tasted really fresh and juicy. I wish they get a little bar going . That would make it a great hang out place or quick happy hour on the way home from work. I will most likely be ordering again. read more

Service is good and the employees are nice but the food....not worth me trying this place again. Ordered fried rice, pepper steak, chicken shrimp w/ broccoli special, and steamed dumplings. All of it was not good. Luke warm. The dumplings where the worst of it all. Fortune cookies were stale....didnt this place just open?? Save your money and go to Pei Wei or Panda Express if you want commercialized Chinese food. read more
