I got this to go. Tried the spicy chicken with fried rice and crab ragoons. The spicy chicken wasn't really spicy I think they tried to imitate a szechuan style with the jalapeno and chili pepper. However, it was exactly fried like it. The crab ragoons were really hard and did not have a lot of cream cheese in them. It did come with 6. The service was fine for getting it to go. Bit odd from the traditional way of stir frying the meat with the sauce and other things but it keeps the chicken crispy Combination fried rice - pretty good fried rice with all the different meat (shrimp, chasiu, chicken, maybe beef as well cause a lot of things going on in there) Wonton soup - odd taste, wontons wrapped in really thick wrappers, soup tastes like unsalted beef broth from can Cheese rangoon - nice gooey cream cheese and the thick wrapper helped in this case by keeping it crispy Egg rolls- cabbage and pork i think, thick wrapper muted some of the taste Wrappers used in all the dishes are super thick so I'm guessing they used wrappers that are commonly used in American dumplings rather than the thinner ones usually used by Asians. Listed pad thai on the menu but I'm guessing that is chow fun (thick cut flat rice noodle). read more

The yummy tofu of General Tso/Tsao, truly my highest rating of the day goes here. It's started with this hidden gem, located behind neighborhood Walmart is a missed opportunity for everyone, that's a true fan of Asian cuisines or dining. However, it's not fine dining, it's simply fun dining. It's sitting down to enjoy a very awesome and tasteful meal at a great price. Customer service was great, from the door to the table. To sum it up, I ordered the Tofu version of General Tso/Tsao Chicken, which was my past time favorite in my not so vegan days. Nevertheless, the Tofu had a slightly crisp coating with the sweet savory flavor that brought back memories of what I had not experienced in many years. Served with rice and broccoli making a well out together trio. It was in generous portion, so once, I hit fill line, I just packed up the rest for dinner. The vibe was quiet and not very busy, so for a Monday late afternoon, it was perfect and definitely something to look forward to once again. Ambiance is dingy, the window are not clean, and that say a lot about to food place where the inside outside glass is smeared looking. I was running errands in Pearland/Shadow Creek area and had the hankering for some Wonton Soup. Tang's is close-by so I decided to give them a call. I asked ahead of time if there was a minimum for using a debt/credit card and luckily they said no. (Sometimes I see Chinese restaurant with a $10-15 minimum charge). I ordered a large Wonton soup. It was $4.85 and only 5 minutes. Not bad!! Being as it's during Covid-19 times, there was not any indoor seating, pick up only. The interior looks so fun! My soup was good. It was piping hot, even after the short ride home. The only negative is that there were only 4 Wontons in it. (I have tried numerous places over the years and usually I get 6 on average). The broth flavor was good. Is it just me or is the meat inside the wontons is always a little "strange"... very dark. It tastes ok but it always makes me wonder what exactly it is. I liked this spot. They're pretty quick at getting your order together. One Friday evening. I didn't feel like going out to dinner but I was craving General Tso chicken. So I couldn't really decide on what I wanted. So I ordered egg rolls, pan fried dumplings, and General Tso chicken. This particular visit I went and picked it up. When I arrived my order was ready for me. And there was no line. The person at the register wasn't very friendly but maybe she was just tired. I don't know. When I got home the food was packaged very neatly and secure for any spills. I love that As far as taste goes. The egg rolls and dumplings were okay. But the General Tso trxturextremely chewy. I had dinner at Tang's for the first time today with my wife. I ordered the 4 seasons stir fry, and my wife ordered the moo goo gai pan. My dish came out after about a 10 minute wait. It looked great with vibrant colors. The taste was spot on, and the ingredients were fresh. My wife said her dish tasted great as well. I'm taking 1 pt off because my dish only had 3 shrimps and my wife's dish lacked green vegetables. All in all still a good dinner. read more

Visited Tang's for the first time. The food was pretty good but a few things were missing. I ordered General Tso's chicken with a side of fried rice. The rice I was given was simply brown rice. I asked the server and she told me that was the fried rice. It had no egg or veggies in it. Was just plan brown rice. The flavor of the chicken was good. I ordered hit and sour soup, spring rolls, vegetable lo mein and stir fry green beans with fried rice. I ordered a lot to try different meat free options on the menu and to also have leftover to last me for two days or more. The green beans were good but were drenched in sauce. The lo mein and hit and sour soup was a little disappointing. I was craving some Asian American style food and leaving the Neighborhood Walmart I noticed the sign for Tang's on the corner of a building. I yelped it when I made it home and bookmarked it for lunch another day. I ordered Sweet and Sour Pork with fried rice. I ordered through their website and was quoted 45 minutes. It came in less the time, HOT and FRESH. I was greeted with a smile by the delivery driver who was very sweet. I didn't mind him taking a peek into our apartment. It always looks like a show room with the lights off. The bag came in a sealed brown paper bag with a plastic bottom bag. I realized I ordered the wrong thing when I took everything out but decided hey.. give it a try! I promised myself I would try two pieces. I ended up eating half the tray of Fried pork and all of my Fried Rice. I like veggies so I was a little sad to see there weren't any in my fried rice. Maybe I ordered that wrong as well but either way it was hot by the time I got to it and this had to be 15 minutes after the delivery. Pre-Covid places used to give you entire wings when you ordered but I'm adjusting to change. Their wings were crispy and fully cooked. They stayed that way for my husband to enjoy over 3 hours later when I nuked them in the microwave. You know good take out when you can enjoy it the next day... which I did with no shame! I snacked on my Pork leftovers while making Beef and Broccoli at home. They offer lunch specials that I have to try later on but this particular day I didn't. I love the food here everything is always amazing. But every time my family orders food we always get the same delivery person with the biggest ugly attitude! He sits there and counts money infront of your face which is reasonable as he should but then requires you to give him more tip! When you already have! When he asked for more tip my blood was boiling! First it's less then 3 minutes away and two his attitude and demeanor is awful! I have 3 kids so it's just a hassle for me to get all my kids ready then pack all 3 of my kids in the car just to pick up food. On top of that he laughed in my face when I said the tip was included! He was demanding more and would not budge off my front porch I was livid. I went and grabbed 5 more dollars to give to my son to give to him because I was going to blow up in his face hence my order only cost 50.00. I was pretty excited about Tang's opening up so close to my job. This restaurant is really nice on the inside! I love the ropes that are hanging, although im not sure I would have placed them right there by the doors. I dont know, it threw me off a bit. When we first visited Tang's I got the Kung pao Chicken with brown rice. It was a little sweet for my liking and the peanuts weren't cooked at all. It was like they just threw them in the pan right at the end but didn't allow them to cook with the chicken. Almost like they forgot to put them in at first. The next time I came in for lunch I got the Sweet and Sour Chicken. I got it with white rice and that was nice and sticky like it should be! The chicken itself wasn't anything special. I ended up taking the breading off of the chicken because it was way too greasy. Speaking of greasy, each time Ive eaten here, the egg roll has been incredibly greasy. It had ok flavor but I just couldn't get past the excess amount of grease they had. Same with the cream cheese wonton. The third time, I got the Spicy Garlic Pork with brown rice. This has been my favorite so far. The veggies were all cooked really well and weren't soggy or overdone. My only complaint is that it really wasn't spicy, not even a little. I know now to ask for extra spicy next time. Ive gotten wonton soup, hot and sour soup, and the egg drop soup. The wonton soup has tons of flavor and its in a golden broth rather than a clear broth. The Hot and sour soup is just your standard soup, really nothing special. The egg drop Soup is my favorite of the three. It is full of flavor and is now my go to soup with I visit Tangs. The service is ok I guess, they aren't really that quick. The good comes out really quick but the waitstaff is super slow at getting the check ready. I only have an hour lunch so I need to be able to get in and out. Ill have to ask for the check right when they bring the food next time. read more

Phone ordering and Curbside pick up was very easy but were disappointed in quality of food. General Tso chicken was undercooked and hoping we don't become ill from it. Only ate 4 pieces before we found hair stuck in one of the pieces. Broccoli chicken had hard pieces in it. Spit out more chicken than actually ate. We ordered fried rice yet received steamed rice. Didn't realize until we got home and unpacked the food. Regret tipping my curbside pickup because we didn't even have a decent meal yet spent $41. First time trying out this place. Dine in is available. Place is clean and very spacious. The hostess was very nice. We made it during lunch time and have special when you order you can select a soup, egg roll or crab Rangoon, and choice of rice. The food was very hot!!! Everything tasted good. They serve everything with disposable plates, cups and utensils. The server was covered with a face shield and gloves. The only thing that was sad they didn't have any iced tea and drinks were only bottled. We will definitely come back!! read more
