I think it's the same owner as upstairs izakaya, decor is same lots of One Piece. Ramen is excellent, my new favorite go to place when I'm craving Japanese ramen. Establishment is clean, service friendly, food comes fast. They serve Sapporo on draft.

We came here for lunch on a chilly Sunday afternoon when they first opened. It is small, cozy ramen place full of One Piece posters and figurines. We were seated right away as there was only one other group there. I got the chasyu ramen and my daughter got the spicy miso ramen. My husband who didn't like ramen had the tonkatsu. The broth was a bit salty but flavorful. The thin noodles were chewy. There were 4 pieces of fatty chasyu. It really warmed me up. My daughter's spicy miso ramen wasn't too spicy and had strong miso flavor. My husband enjoyed his tonkatsu. The staff was also accommodating when my daughter asked for no menma or corn.

Rainy day means ramen day! I came at an odd time, late afternoon, but there were still a couple tables taken and a few takeout orders. They have a ramen side (ground floor) and an izakaya side (upstairs), though I've only been to the ramen side. They have a couple buckets for umbrellas, which is much appreciated because the floors get slippery when wet! The service was attentive and friendly. The Beef Onigiri was huge! It came with mayo and soy sauce on the side to dip, as well as pickled veggies. This helped cut the beefiness. I love how the beef was mixed in with the rice instead of just in the center. The Kara Miso Ramen was tasty. The noodles were bouncy. The broth has a bit of a kick but was not too spicy. Nicely topped with crisp veggies, very tender and flavorful chashu, and a jammy egg. I do wish the egg was a bit jammier but I do like it extra jammy! There is an 8% cash discount, so remember to bring cash. A decent ramen spot to check out if you're in the area. I would like to try out the Izakaya side of the restaurant!.

This place upstairs was a lot fun and great yakitori! I had a real experience eating here. The takoyaki balls were not deep fried but made in the griddle mold. The yakatori sticks were delicious. We knew what we wanted so it wasn't a problem. I am an organs gal so I went for liver, heart and pork belly. They had peppers too. The edamame was grilled which was new to me. The drink menu is huge so please drink up!

Get the Buta Ramen. It's got a strong flavor. It really stands out. And I love that it has garlic in it. Not Buffy, I'm going to slay some vampires strong, but a nice balance with the onions, ground meat and broth. It's got some of that red ginger in it which I'm not a fan of but I going myself drinking a lot of the soup and had to stop myself. Get the Buta ramen. If you want a clean flavor try the others. The Katsu curry was ok but this place is a ramen place so order the ramen. The staff is friendly and attentive. I noticed there were parents who brought their kids in. Kids who need high chairs so I guess they're kid friendly.

Arrived 6:10 on a weekday evening and scored the final table. Immediately after that, the crowds started to pour in and they all had to wait. Small narrow first floor setting. Diners were praising the ramen I hear from other tables. Ordered potato croquette. The croquette was made with precision flavors. Tasted the freshness, outer fried layer was also very golden. Being familiar with ramen with experience in having eaten in Japan, this is NOT on the same level. However this is a 5-star review because of its solid consistency, as shown by how the crowds were willing to wait outside. For me the star dish was the fried tofu. Friedness level was good and interior quality of the tofu was also decent but it was ultimately the sauce that it was drowned in! That was made with very well-thought out flavors. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Portions were large. Areas were clean and tidy. Ambience was cute with manga decor. Overall, this makes a great spot for smaller groups. Upstairs also looked very happening with those skewer options. Will try next time.

I didn't realize that there were two DIFFERENT restaurants in the same building. Their decor is also pretty similar with all the One Piece "WANTED" poster.. don't be like me and if you're meeting people for ramen IT'S ON THE GROUND FLOOR. Izakaya (I was sitting up there reading their menu for a bit lol) has yakitori and Japanese hot pot, their menu is completely different. I came here with my fam and kiddo on a Friday night. We were able to get a table no problem and there were two different servers manning the restaurant. They were so friendly with our toddler, allowed us to walk around with her so she wouldn't get fussy during our meal, and were just fantastic. The ramen wasn't the best I've ever had BUT for the price per bowl it's definitely worth it. We also got a couple of apps which were delicious as well. The best one we ordered, hands down, had to be the agedashi tofu. Usually at other restaurants I'd get a couple small square blocks of fried tofu and some sauce. Here, you get a bunch of bonito flakes that added that extra umami flavor, scallions, and pickled radish. Delish! We were surprised with mochi ice cream on the house at the end of the meal and if that wasn't a sweet enough deal, if you pay with cash you have an 8% discount. It was definitely one of my family cheaper dinner nights out and we'll be back again!

I came here for dinner with my wife and we ordered the Okonomiyaki, Curry Ramen and the Katsu-Don The Okonomiyaki was similar to Korean seafood pancake, I expected more cabbage and less batter. But it was overall tasty and had the flavors of Okonomiyaki. It was interesting to have Kara-age in the Curry Ramen and we felt like it lacked the depth that curry usually gives. But overall it was fine. The Katsu-Don was actually not great. The chicken katsu was very dry. The chicken itself was very thin and gave more of a rubbery texture. It also did not give off the usual flavors and textures of a Katsu-don, it just tasted like a soggy dry katsu with egg on top. Overall, the only thing I really didn't like was the Katsu-don. I'd still come back to try the Tamashii Ramen.

3.5 stars I was in the bayside area and was in the mood for some ramen. Decided to give this place a chance. The inside decor is very cute and intimate. The service was great and our order was taken quickly. We ordered takoyaki as an appetizer to share, peach soju and two miso ramen. The takoyaki was not the best I have tried but it was good. The peach soju never fails and paired very well with the meal. The ramen was just ok. The noodles were a bit harder than I would have liked and the broth lacked flavor. The pork was good along with the vegetables in the bowl. I have tried better ramen in other places in flushing. The ended our meal with two macaroons on the house which were very tasty.

I got the Champon Ramen with friends and lemme tell you it is delicious! Ambiance is calm and relaxing and food is very good. Would high recommend the Champon Ramen!

Tamashii Gold, you are now one of my favorite restaurants on Bell Blvd. The restaurant is separated between having ramen on the 1st floor or izakaya on the second). Originally, my friend and I were going to try the ramen but once we saw the izakaya menu, we headed straight upstairs. Now, if you're a One Piece anime fan, this is right up your alley. You can tell by all the wall posters leading up to the door. Once inside, it felt like a One Piece collector's dream. Posters, figurines, mangas. You name it, they got it. The ambiance is very cool and chill. Perfect for a group gathering or date night. Ok, into the food. Edamame - garlicky and smokey. Must get. Takoyaki - one of the better ones I've had. The octopus and filling ratio is on point. Shrimp Tempura Udon - I must say I was excited to try it but left slightly disappointed with this one. The broth was tasty but the Udon wasn't silky or bouncy but it will do. I will definitely come back to try the rest of the menu. My strawberry sake drink was so good.

It was about a 30 minutes walk from my house to Tamashii Gold. I entered the Ramen door as the other door was for Izakaya. Today, I came here for lunch with my good friend. Drinks K: Calpico Mango Me: Ginger Ale Tapas *sharing is caring* Kara-age: yummy Takoyaki: yummy Ramen K: Tamashii Ramen + additional topping Chasyu (pork) Me: Chasyu Ramen + additional topping Tamago (egg) - The broth, noodles, Chasyu (pork), and Tamago (egg) were flavorful and delicious but had too much cabbage. One of the servers gave us the wrong ramen. My friend was eating mine. We pointed out their mistake. I asked them to replace my ramen. We overheard the servers blaming us. Note: You get an 8% discount if you pay in cash! I will stick with my favorite ramen spot across the street.

Drove down Bell Blvd for ramen and came across a surprising gem. A well decorated Japanese themed restaurant with a warm ambiance. I came here on a rainy Wednesday night where it was not crowded, but each seat was still occupied. With only one waitress on the floor, she was able to manage it all. Started with almost one of each item from the appetizer menu, the quality of each plate was synchronized with the word "character." Tako Wasabi was bold and refreshing. Kani Sunomono had a nice touch of baby shrimp on radish. Okonomiyaki was bathed in savory warm sauce. Kara Buta Itame on the other hand, could probably be skipped out on, but it was a good source of protein. And the star entrees, Gyu-Don and Tamashii Ramen was cooked to perfection for a rainy day. I would recommend and come back.

When you finish your ramen and broth, you would check at the bottom of your bowl to see if you won or not. I have never won except this time!! I really liked attention that went into the decors at this place. There are Japanese wooden prayer cards hanging on the walls. Some seatings are encapsulated in honey comb-shaped panels. Everything was made out of wood from tables to chairs to napkin holders and condiment jars. For appetizers, we had the Japanese fried oyster and calamari. Both were delicious especially the oysters that were popping out in the middle. I got the Yin Yang ramen which apparently was inspired by the yin yang hot pot with split broths. I immediately took a liking to this novel idea since I did want to try two different broths. I believe the red spicy side was miso-based, while the white side was tonkotsu. I quite enjoyed the red side as it was flavorful. The tonkotsu broth was a bit underwhelming as I thought it was pretty bland tasting. I also wished that it was served warmer. What I got was a bit tepid. Not pictured: my friend got the same ramen but his piece of the pork belly consisted entirely of fat with no lean meat. That was a bit disappointing. Despite the aforementioned misses, I did enjoy dining here and look forward to coming back and try their Omurice.
