Excellent little spot, was told about Taloola Cafe but quite a few people and finally got around to trying it. AMAZING. Cute little cafe to begin then delicious food. I will say it was difficult choosing what I wanted because the entire menu is so appealing. Very friendly staff and everything was fresh!

Cute little cafe. I ordered Thai iced tea, a lavender tea latte, and a vanilla and hazelnut cake. Each was very good, if not a little pricy. The Thai iced tea was served in a way I've never seen it served before. Very cute. I enjoyed my visit and would definitely return.

Nice casual spot for a meal, snack or coffee near Windsor's beautiful riverside. Small interior with limited seating. I stopped in for a snack after learning they have lots of vegan options, including always-vegan soups and stews. I grabbed a bowl of the soup ($6 plus tax), which was a lentil and date soup. Decent soup, nothing special and perhaps a little small / lacking in substance, but not bad at all. I'd return to check out their other items.

Fresh food, perky staff, fast service. The space is over the top but it works. The menu is long and full but there is some good stuff on there and personally, I'd rather have a couple too many choices than not enough. Lost stars for edamame on a salade Niçoise though. Granted, it was identified in the menu and I should have caught it, but yuck. That stuff just isn't good for you (read an article guys!) and it just doesn't go well in my opinion. It did look pretty, however. And I respect other people's creativity and personal taste. But eww :) I regret to say there were two occasions when I sat at or near an unclean table. On the first, another patron sat on a stain of some sort while I was talking to a friend and we noticed too late to say anything. The latest time, I sat on (what I hope was) a small puddle of lemon (the citrusy culprit was on the seat next to it). Clearly not every detail can be caught between guests but especially in an "anti-minimalist" atmosphere such as Taloola's an extra sweep might be well-advised. :) I look forward to eating more of their creations and trying a smoothie. They looked delish!

Great food and comfortable vibe in a great neighborhood. A highly recommended stop for brunch, lunch or just coffee and tea.

Casual, quirky, with really good sandwiches at a reasonable price. We liked the veggies with dipping sauce that came as sides, too.

Quaint vegetarian haven. Fresh, tasty and filling. The atmosphere is friendly and artistic. Not your typical city like restaurant.

Once we sat down, our server had waters at our table already and was quick to come take our drink orders. My friend ordered the very berry Bellini and loved it, so she ordered a second one. She gave it a 10/10. My other friend ordered a breakfast margarita - she gave it an 8/10. For food, we ordered the traditional meal with red velvet pancakes. She rated it a 9/10. My friend ordered house made corned beef hash with eggs, & cheese grits (gave it a 9/10) the grits needed some salt & pepper; and a Cinnabunn pancake (we give that a 12/10). The pancake was fire!!! I tasted a piece and wanted to order my own. My other friend ordered the crème brule chicken & waffles - she gave it a 9/10. I ordered an egg white omelet with turkey sausage, chicken, spinach & bell peppers. It was good but a little too runny for my liking. It came with fruit and whole wheat bread. I asked for strawberry jam and they brought me a homemade strawberry sauce that was soooo good! I give my meal an 7.5/10. Overall, the place is cute and pretty spacious with lots of seating. I would definitely come back and order some other items from the menu!

We felt like we had the perfect amount of savory and sweet items for the table. The salmon Croquettes were thick, the French Toast was sliced thick and fluffy, the corned beef hash had a crunchy bite to it and our eggs were made perfectly. We barely had any leftovers after sharing among 4 people. We felt like the portions and flavors fit the prices!

The menu is minimal but mighty. I felt genuinely nourished after a vanilla bean latte, parfait, biscuit (Red Lobster-esque cheddar biscuits) / egg sandwich, and greens salad. The eggs were expertly fluffed how I like them. My friend had the lentil soup along with a tofu scramble on focaccia. We ate it all! The espresso was strong, you get real silverware and clayware/bowls. Wow! I was taken aback. And for what you're getting, the prices aren't all too bad. They could definitely be higher (don't make them higher ) I encourage any coffee shop loiterer, vegan/vegetarian, or city dweller, student, etc -- to try this spot. There are a wide variety of books in the room connected to the dining area, with book shelves filled with zines and art pieces. Also a stage? What goes on in here!? I was searching for a Restaurant that Truly supports a GF person So many say they are yet ( pre read their menus and nada) This was a test visit for guests that ARE ABSOLUTELY GF. I called for a Reservation. Oops no same day Res, yet I was told there was one Res left for 12:30 ( if We didn't make it the wait would NOT be long. We were a bit late yet our table was waiting for Us... This is a cozy scratch kitchen restaurant with a Greenwich Village vibe. Table seating for 16 bar seating for 3 Yet it didn't feel crowded. We were asked if it was our 1st time? Yes. Menu was fully explained and even b4 I could ask I was told what was always prepared GF and for other dishes what could be substituted...I purposely chose the GF waffles. May I say AWESOME. I had 1 suggestion....add the Tart cherry crafted jam that came with my husband's biscuit as an additional add on with the syrup. with the waffles I blended syrup and jam and. Then my Latte. I asked for a Hot cup. It was creamy smooth. If You can't have dairy ( and they asked) there's options. I need not have worried; there was parking closer by. Oh well. The restaurant is tiny. And it maximizes the space by lining its walls with colorful bottles of wine, chic and cher containers of olive oil, and pots of artisanal honey hiding here and there. My friend pointed out the breathtakingly beautiful bouquet of dried flowers hanging over our table. I should have taken a photo when I had the chance. I started with the spiced brown sugar latte, made with oat milk. Delicious and sweeter than I thought. Even though the menu is small and curated, I could not decide between the nosh plate, the biscuit brekkie, or the quiche, which was the special of the day. So I ended up with the quiche but added the biscuit and bacon - I did not want to miss out. The crust of the quiche was fine, but the custard-like filling was divine, more like a savory crème brûlée or flan. Service was quick and efficient. Our reservation was made for one of the predefined 90-minute blocks, so the staff was on top of getting and delivering our meals and bussing tables as soon as they emptied to make room for the next group of guests.
