    Nice room!

Great place to meet up, hang out and/or work. Had a chocolate blueberry coffee w ice and a lightly toasted bagel w blueberry compote, white cheddar, a crispy prosciutto. Took opportunity of car detailing deal, Ian did a great job in cleaning up my car while I enjoyed hanging out. Thank You!!

Love love love the congregation! Great coffee and vibes! They also have great food and drinks. Super nice place to bring your laptop and get some work done. Tons of outdoor seating when it's warm enough and quite a bit of seating inside with real church pews, wooden flooring and stained glass windows. A lot of natural light. They host tons of inclusive events and have a lot of nice merch. I really liked the cornbread cappuccino that was made with corn milk. I got it half sweet and it was still very sweet.

First time here, and the community coffee shop vibe hit me the moment I got out of the car. The cute outdoor seating area faces a playground, and inside it's spacious, quiet, and beautifully designed. The staff were also super friendly, which added to the welcoming feel. I tried the blackberry espresso tonic, which had plenty of real blackberry purée and was refreshing and bright. The matcha with almond milk was also enjoyable, with a strong nutty flavor that I liked. Overall, a lovely spot I'd definitely recommend!

This place was so good that I needed to go back even though I was only in Detroit for three days. As soon as I browsed their menu online, I knew this was a must-try. They had such fun and unique specialty drinks like the carrot cake chai, cornbread cappuccino, and Earl Grey matcha. My favorite drink was an iced Earl Grey matcha with oatmilk. My favorite food item was the spiced pear and granola bagel with the vegan cream cheese. All the baristas I got to interact with were very sweet and helpful. There were plenty of seating options both indoors and outdoors. They have their coffee shop menu and cocktail bar menu, although I didn't get to try those - it looked like there were some really good options on that menu as well. There is a pizza place right next door. It looks like they have lots of fun nights scheduled, like Open Mic night on the third Friday of the month and Trivia nights on Wednesdays. I am sure this place is an even bigger hit when the weather is nice. I highly recommend you check this place out if you are a coffee shop lover like me.

Really nice coffee shop that's set up inside an old church-looking building! We've come here a couple times to get a coffee and a bite to eat on our way through to downtown Detroit. Their coffees are so delicious and this is the place that hooked us on to getting oat milk in our coffees. It makes it so much smoother! It can get very loud in here on the weekend so be prepared if you're looking for a quiet place to work! But there is wifi to do some homework or other things. They have an amazing tomato bisque soup too, which is surprising for a coffee shop!

Love the Congregation any time of day. The seasonal Carrot Cake Chai latte is an absolute must. Love the feel of the space too, the staff is so friendly and fast!

Turkey Melt: 6 . I wish it had more flavor. The ingredients were great quality but the aioli lacked flavor. Carrot Cake Latte: 6. Could've been sweeter. I tasted more milk that anything Vibes/Atmosphere: 8.5

As a student this place is my top 3 favorite spot to do work. It's gives the best vibe, stress free and community. Their coffee is delicious especially with the lavender or pandan homemade syrups. The staff is always very kind and accommodating to requests. I come here as often as I can for the beautiful interior, free wifi, coffee, and community.

Came for a quick tea stop. I tried the Carrot Cale Chai with almond milk. This is flavorful beverage. The atmosphere is an old church which is fitting for the name. The staff were not happy to be at work on this Saturday morning. But I would come back for coffee meet up. There is lots of street parking and lots of seating inside and outside. I would love to come back in the spring and sit outside

This space is beautiful and great for groups, small meet ups, and events. Hosting events here is seamless and everyone is so helpful. I've hosted some mending groups here. They also have a very nice outdoor space that is great for summer. I have not tried their food yet, but I love the cocktails and lattes.

really cute, spacious cafe! stumbled upon this gem looking for a coffee shop from the Fisher Theater. looked like a church from the outside so I didn't know if I was in the right place but the signage made it clear I was. they had nice seasonal caffeine options, and seemed like a great place to work (if I had more time and my laptop). the drink was delishhh and I would 100% return!

Be still my (former) neighborhood heart. Catching up - cocktails here are still top notch: top as in they taste great, notch as in they could take you down one with their strength. I rolled back in here right after Christmas and started tasting my way through the menu with the Squash mezcal boi. Normally I would never try a drink with boi in its name, but this name is a part of Kiesling's history, and squash? Come on. I had to try it, and it put me right back in the neighborhood as if I had just walked down across the bridge on Brush for a couple of drinks. (And someone please tell me, am I dreaming, didn't we used to cross on Beaubien, too?) I followed that up with the Kie Rye Pie because I cannot resist rhyming, and I am fascinated with drambuie. I thought the drink might be too sweet and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't. I had to close the night out with the Pear Pressure because, alas, there is still no food at the Kiesling, and there was no pop up, and I didn't want eat carryout at the bar. The drink was great, but after three I was feeling the booze and headed across the street for something to eat. This bar is cozy with its wooden interior. It still serves a beer and a shot. And folks are friendly, but not going to get in your business unless you invite them.

The bar was decorated for its Christmas popup but wasn't too over the top. I appreciated the fresh antipasto salad and sticky, crispy wings, but the drinks were the show stoppers. I slowed down with the Snowball Old Fashioned (rye and gingerbread bitters), which was perfect, and finished the night with the Snow Day Sipper - fancy hot chocolate, delicious but fancy hot chocolate. This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots to grab a drink and unwind -- whether it's a mid-week break or a weekend night out. Right when you walk in, Dragonfly hits you with that fun, eclectic energy that just makes you want to stay a little longer. The space is stylish yet approachable, with local art on the walls and a laid-back feel that strikes the perfect balance between casual and classy. Now, let's talk drinks -- because this is where Dragonfly really shines. Their cocktail menu is imaginative and well-crafted, featuring inventive seasonal drinks alongside timeless classics. If you love trying something a bit different, this is your playground. They also have thoughtful non-alcoholic options, so even if you're not drinking, you're still getting a serious mocktail experience. The food here -- served from a shared kitchen with some seriously tasty small plates -- is a great complement to the drinks. Everything I've tried has been flavorful and designed to pair beautifully with whatever you're sipping. Service here has mostly been great during my visits, and the staff are friendly and actually excited about the cocktails they serve -- which makes a difference. We tried the miso carrots, the walleye, and the summer pea pasta. All of the plates were artfully decorated and I loved all the combos of flavors and textures.
