The quantity seemed okay for the price, and the restaurant locations is good too. As for the food - the Pad Thai had no flavor. I couldn't taste anything - no tang, no soy sauce, no nothing. There was no flavor at all. Kee Mao had good flavor in comparison, but it hardly had any noodles. It just had big chunky veggies for the most part. But both dishes came with good portion of tofu, so that was good. But, it wasn't a very satisfying meal overall.

We ordered hot tea, and he brought us a tea pot that was barely warm. We had to send it back. When we ordered, we were not asked about the level of spice we wanted, which we had been on our previous visit. We ordered an appetizer, soup and two main dishes. The chicken satay was very dry with no grill marks ( which was odd). The eggplant dish we ordered tasted nothing like the food on our previous visit. The only good thing was the soup. We were disappointed, as we had been telling our friends how good the food was. Not sure if the chef was having a bad day or if it was a different chef. We really want to support this local business but if the food isn't consistent, it doesn't work for us.

It has lettuce, cabbage, carrots. And some other kind of sweet white vegetable of some sort and cucumbers, and what they are trying to pass off as avocado lol. When somebody pays $17 for a sandwich, you expected to have a little flavor The bread was dry and falling apart with every bite. It taste tasted sour. I don't know if it's meant to be that way or if it's just because the bread is going bad I'm not sure.. The only flavor I got was some sort of spread that they put on, but I only got the flavor and probably three bites out of half of the sandwich at least if there were some pickled onions or some kind of seasoning or Italian dressing or something that would taste good but it really just taste like raw vegetables. I know that's what it is but again for 17 bucks at least put some seasoning on there so it tastes decentO It'll probably be a while before I come back as I don't live close and there's nothing pulling me here anymore Also, I sat at the ice cream counter for almost 5 minutes, waiting to be served so then I had to go wait on the other side and by that point I didn't even order an ice cream - I wasn't sure how much longer it would take...

Of course with this heat wave, it's so hot to sit outside which the patio tends to be pretty off limit in the heat. Unless you prefer it. We came for dinner which was still pretty early. There's two main entrance, the front and the side/back where the patio is. And two dining area, front and back. Well we walked in, it was a little daunting as we were the only one there. That does have an effect of do we stay or leave. Anyways, we stayed as we enjoyed our meal last time. It did pick up during our meal. Service was great with our waiter. Constantly refilling our waiter without us having to mentioned it. Menu wise, a good amount of Thai dishes that you would be familiar with. The only downfall, they don't have noodle soup which is a favorite for me. If a restaurant has it, that's a plus. Well they don't carry it. Also there's a bar so that's good as well. Honestly it doesn't matter to me with Thai food if they bring out starters before or with the meal. I'm going to enjoy it regardless. Food, we had the chicken larb. Minced meat with Thai spices and a nice sour sauce. So good and had it with a side of rice. That's normally served with cabbage but this time it's with Napa cabbage. Never had it that way but it was still good. Entrees, the spicy noodles. So many different names for them but all the same. Thin rice noodle with whatever protein and slice veggies all tossed together with a nice sauce on top of lettuce. Some places add that while others don't. Lastly the massaman curry, with carrots, potatoes and peanuts in a rich curry sauce. The food was good and very tasty. Portion wise was plentiful and perfect for a main or à la carte with friends. I'm alway on the hunt for amazing Thai food and this place is quite nice.

In the last two years, since we moved here from Las Vegas, a nine year stint in a town with sweet little Off-Strip gems serving amazing food, we've gathered a list of very cool places to enjoy here in the Valley. Thai Hot is cool when you have takeout meals but in person it is truly amazing. I loved the decor and the very spacious seating design which I love in a restaurant where you want to enjoy conversations. The staff immediately welcomed us. My son was taking us to dinner for my husband's birthday. He swooned over the gorgeous looking sweet and sour sea bass. The fish-shaped plate cradled a colorful sea bass with mangoes and vegetables and of course I tried it. The fish was delicately seasoned and just as you would want it to be, very tender. The presentation alone is just perfect. My husband's wide noodle pad see yew brought just the right magical mixture of tender fresh vegetables to the beef, which of course I sampled. And loved. I've always been a noodle fan so I shared some of my crispy pork and noodle dish around the table. This was really good. I require my broccoli to be a star of the show and yes, it was. The pork belly was plentiful and so great! The staff got busy, and we watched the restaurant fill with groups of all sizes. (We had been first to choose a spot after evening service began.) There were at least 16 takeout delivery customers, each of which was greeted and served promptly. One party of 11 enthusiastic young people were thrilled to have a very organized process from our two servers. I watched the staff bring very hot and beautiful platters all around, meanwhile finding time to check on each table, even from a distance with a smile. The two servers balanced their duties with precision. Now this is professional and represented the restaurant with great style. After previously having heard quite a few other diners remark on the food and the physical setting, now I can see how we are so fortunate to have very lovely small businesses who appreciate the customer. We were so thrilled with dinner, that we could not manage a dessert, so we will return for another experience really soon. The menu has something for everyone. Prices are quite reasonable. Located at the northwest corner of Monroe Street and CA-111, in a strip mall with plenty of parking, it's an easy in and out. (Just be sure to watch your exiting because bicycles frequently pass on 111 right at the driveway.)

Almost every dish bursted with flavor with the standout being Tom Kha soup. Generous portion of Beef Panang had strong coconut and lemongrass overtones and perfectly mild as requested. Yummy fresh crisp green beans with fried tofu really rounded out the meal. The chef seafood speciality was very good but a bit heavy on the bell pepper/onion filler. Chicken satay was thoroughly enjoyed by the 4-year old. Adults all had a taste and agreed that it was moist but lacked flavor. One more big plus- rice was included, it seems a rarity in asian restaurants these days. Final bill was about $100- no alcohol, just an apple juice for the little one. Note that the restaurant is small. If you're craving Thai, get your name on the list. Will definitely come again when we're in town. Highly recommend. ~EG Eats
