Overall, pretty great. Some areas could've been executed better than others. The main issue I have…read moreis that the amount of glue that still remains on the floor has been tedious to remove. I still haven't gotten around to all of it just because there are so many patches of glue on the flooring that they installed. It does come off, but it's just labor intensive. I wish they would've cleaned it a lot better after the flooring had been set and dried.

I would not recommend this company…read more I chose them because the scope I discussed with the account manager included replacing my flooring and installing a new vanity I had already purchased. I verbally confirmed that scope with the account manager and paid an invoice that included a line item for that portion of the work. Despite that, the installer arrived without all of the necessary materials and informed me he was not comfortable installing the vanity. To be clear, I have no issue with the installer declining work he wasn't comfortable performing. What I do have an issue with is being told afterward that vanity installation was never included, despite it being discussed with the account manager and being a major reason I selected this company over other bids. The installer himself encouraged me to request a refund for that portion of the project, but the company only provided a partial refund ($180). As a result, I am left with an unfinished project, a sink currently being held up by a 2x4, and the need to hire a second contractor to complete the work. What should have been a straightforward bathroom update has turned into a major headache. By the time the project is finally finished, I will have spent significantly more than the original quote, despite choosing this company because I believed they would handle the full scope of work from start to finish.

If you want any tile or grout work, you must hire the grout medic. They do 150% on their projects…read more We had them paint the pan of our 48 year-old shower and seal the tile in the shower. It looks brand new. We would never use anybody else.

I called Grout Medic Denver for a kitchen backsplash job. I was impressed by the thoroughness of…read morethe individual who came to do measurements and provide a quote. The description was accurate, the price okay and I scheduled for 22 Oct @ 9AM. On Friday the 16th I had an unintelligible phone message, the only word I could understand was "grout". On Monday morning I called their office to see what the message was about. After being put on hole for 4-5 minutes the girl responded she didn't have any information and I offered "maybe it was to see if I had the tiles, which I do". She said "great, we'll see you on Thursday the 22nd". I cleaned everything off the new countertop and eagerly waited for their tile installer to arrive. Nine o'clock went by, 9:30, 10:00, and at 10:30 I called to see what was happening. The girl (same one) again put me on hold and when she returned said "You are scheduled for Friday, the 23rd and Saturday. My immediate response was "NO! It's today and tomorrow and I'm looking at the confirmation". Her response was "well we sent a text message this morning." I immediately responded "No you didn't! I'm looking at my emails right now and you sent no message to me!" Then she put me on hold again. This time it was "we can only get you on Friday and Saturday", which is when I blew my top. "I have other plans on Saturday, I'm not going to be home then. You confirmed the dates on Monday, the same as the quote and I don't have any choice but to cancel. I needed this done today!" Her response? "If you want to cancel please let us know this afternoon". And that was that. She just told me two lies and now my blood is boiling. I called another tile installer (5 stars) and they came out immediately, gave the same quote within a few dollars, but couldn't get to me until the following week. After thinking for a while I called my Saturday meeting and canceled. I called Grout Medic back and said I'd go ahead "but your man better be here on time!" Today is Friday the 23rd. Nine o'clock went by, 9:20, 9:30, 9:45. At that very minute their installer pulled up in front but sat in the cab talking on the phone. And sat there. Finally, at 9:50 I called Grout and said "Cancel the appointment." She asked if the installer was there. "He pulled up at exactly 9:45 but he's outside sitting in his truck. I'm fed up with you people and I don't want to work with you. Just cancel". She didn't hesitate "Okay, you're cancelled". What really xxxxx's me off is that I'm in the process of remodeling my home and I have another four tile jobs to get done in the next three months. My experience with Grout Medic (do they do tile work or only grout?) has been a miserable failure. The company is unreliable, unprofessional and worse, they'll lie to your face just to cover their mistakes. I wouldn't recommend this company for ANY work!

We moved into a new home and wanted our dinning room floor (which was carpet) to be hardwood so the…read morekitchen hardwood floor flowed right into the dinning room. Anthony and Mark came out and let us know it might look a little off to have an older kitchen floor with a new dinning room floor but gave me prices on both options - just the dinning room or refinishing the kitchen floor at the same time as the dinning room. No pressure just gave me the options. I'm glad we chose to refinish the kitchen floor at the same time because now everything looks perfect. Those guys work hard and are very fast! Jennifer who runs the office was very responsive to all my questions and texts before and during the process. The final cost came in right on point with the estimate and most importantly, the end result is great. I would not hesitate to use ProWorks again.

As one of the other reviewers said, these guys use subcontractors of varying quality. They had to…read morerefinish the floor 3 times because the owner insisted on sending the same crew back each time (which makes sense if using a fixed-price sub - keeps their profit intact). I communicated my concerns professionally (and almost apologetically) with the owner as we went, but I'm not sure that any of them were addressed directly with the crew - rather they were just given basic instructions at the start of each day to fix the problems from the last go 'round. I'll give them credit for trying to make it right, and the floor looks a lot better than it did when they started, but it still wasn't 100% at the end and they didn't want to listen to any more complaints. A list of items specific issues that as far as I can tell were never communicated back to the crew: - The first thing the crew leader did was take a dump in my bathroom, without asking, and made this a daily ritual. - They didn't bother to cover anything up before sanding - no sheathing between rooms, no covers over the vents - so dust was everywhere in the house. At least I had the good sense to turn off the HVAC, but still had to change the air filters several times before they finished the job. - They sanded/buffed the carpet, trashing it where the carpet meets the hardwood. - Stain was applied in some places across grain / boards rather than same direction leading to stripes (1st attempt), and inconsistently leading to dark splotches (2nd attempt). - They used my ladder (from the garage) without asking. - They left gobs of topcoat around trim and puddling elsewhere. - They did not take the time to use filler properly after the second attempt - there are dark spots around nails, knots, and where sanding was rough. - Hand sanding was quite rough in several areas leading to dark stain, especially around trim, cabinets, toilet, etc. And they didn't thoroughly clean or screen before coating in several places, leading to dirt and debris in the finish. - Stain spatter was left on the wall from brush work and flinging wet towels. The sinks were a left an absolute mess. - There was no real cleanup to speak of and patches of grass are dead in the front yard where they cleaned stain off their tools and equipment. - The "suicide cord" they were using to connect to 240V was a fire and safety hazard. After attempting to share my last round of concerns (not asking for them to redo it again but rather just trying to share some of the issues for future improvement), Anthony told me to stop looking so closely and asked, "You gonna blast us on the internet?" indicating his level of concern. For a website that touts their high level of professionalism and reputation, the crew did not reflect it. If I wasn't a professional contractor myself, then this might have been a traumatic experience. And if I knew the crew and could have hired them directly, then I would have undoubtedly paid half as much... but then they might not have redone it 3 times (especially because I would have kicked them out after the second attempt). I never asked for a discount, and one was certainly never offered. I'm leaving 2 stars because on Yelp that means it "could've been better" but for the price I paid to go with the "pros" I regret not giving one of the other bidders a chance.
