A colleague and I decided to try this spot because I had shown her my photos and films from a trip to Japan late last year. Side note; it was incredible. Can't wait to go back. But, back to the review. We wanted to try a couple of things from the menu to share. A couple of dishes we tried are as follows: Fried Chicken Bun - so fresh and soft Pork Dumpling - hummm hummm good Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen- so tasty and filling Takumi Fried Rice - it was so good; however, I wish I would have ordered it without the bacon because personally I'm finicky when it comes to the way I like my bacon cooked. So, it is a me problem and not them. But, I ate it anyway and it was delicious. Edamame - no one (I hope) can mess us this. Spring Roll - saved this one for last. They were absolutely amazing. I wish I would have gotten another order to go; cooked to perfection. It was cute to have of course to have them deliver the food by robot. Inviting atmosphere and very clean. Our waitress was attentive with a nice personality; engaging, which is always a plus. Prices were reasonable. I certainly will be going back during my visit in this area.

Chicken Fried Rice Chicken ramen noodles

Ginormous servings, wonderful staff, delicious food! Definitely be back! Wait time was non existent. Our order was delivered to our table rather quickly.

my mom ordered the beef ramen she said her meal was an 8/10... I ordered the Chicken Donburi and it was a 9 out of 10 we also had the Spring roll & crab Rangoon which was quite delicious 10/10 the atmosphere is peaceful and inviting the booths are very spacious and the drinks are delicious and you also get large portions of food so you will definitely have enough to go! Highly recommended:)

Chicken Katsu Donburi

This is Miami approved!! I'm visiting Mississippi all the way from Miami and I was looking for a ramen /boba spot and I found this little hidden spot with my mom. I ordered the chicken katsu over rice and the rice was delicious and so was the chicken. I also got a taro tea but didn't like it and switched it. Some of their teas are made with powder. Server was nervous but amazing!!! and they even have a robot that delivers your food. Would def come here with all the family

The shirmp noodle dish was tasty, the shirmp were miniature and kinda chewy. Service was quick, and the robot service cart was interesting, but didn't follow the purpose of the show. The dinning area was well kept.

I really enjoyed the ramen here. The miso broth had depth and warmth and wasn't too overpowering. The noodles soaked up the flavor well and the toppings were generous bamboo shoots, scallions, and a marinated egg that was just right. Service was friendly and quick even though the place was pretty busy. The interior was clean and had an open kitchen so we could watch the chefs work. It felt casual but with care put into every detail. Would recommend this spot for ramen lovers.

Tokyo Tonkotsu Ramen: delicious! The char siu was SO melty and tender, with a great flavor as well!

I was extremely excited when I heard that a ramen shop was opening in Tupelo, and they did not disappoint!! The inside is the shop is cozy, clean, and very cute. The staff is extremely friendly and are good at providing information on their dishes as well as recommending their favorites! My group had the char siu pork bun, the fried chicken bun, edamame, Tokyo tonkotsu ramen, volcano ramen, seafood ramen, and vegetable stir fried ramen. Everything was absolutely delicious!! All of the soup ramens had very silky and well seasoned broth, and the stir fried ramen had a good flavor as well even without the broth. The char siu was melty and the fried chicken was crispy. I HIGHLY recommend the buns if you're looking for an appetizer!! Your food also comes to you on an adorable little cat robot, which is a quirky and fun touch. The only negative was they were out of ramen eggs when we went, but they've been very busy since they opened so we can't really blame them for that! The bathrooms were very clean and so were the tables. Pro tip: the wait time here can get pretty high, but if you go in and out your name on the waitlist, they'll text you when your table is ready! Head to one of the shops nearby and you'll be called before you know it!

We ordered the Shrimp and Beef Stir Fried Ramen. Wonderful flavor, fresh & hot. Served with the help of a kitty server. Served with in an appropriate amount of time. Lovely setting, nice & clean with nice music

Takumi Ramen. Thank you so much for being a bright spot on chicken alley, haha. Takumi brings a wonderful ramen experience and something different to the area. Clean modern interior, the food delivery robot is adorable, and it's great to go on your own or with friends and family. The food itself? Delicious! The waitress was sweet and recommended the spicy miso ramen (which is my go to at ramen shops. Wanted to try and branch out, but it looked too good to resist.) the noodles were bouncy, the broth was spicy but not too spicy just a bowl of flavorful goodness. 10/10 would recommend. I'd love to try some of their appetizers too! Now, to keep it 100% I wanted to give this place 5 stars so bad, but the primary reason I had to take a star off? The boba. I've had some of the best boba around both in Mississippi (Shout out Snow and Boba in Ocean Springs) and in other states. The drink itself tasted OK enough. But the experience of the actual boba pearls? They were flavorless and undercooked and reminded me way too much of why I didn't like boba when I first tried it. If it's something they improve on, maybe I could give it a try again. But I won't be doing that anytime soon. I'll stick to the food, and enjoy the vibes.

Char Siu Pork Stir-Fried Ramen

Very nice, clean restaurant. The service was excellent. The waitress was friendly and consistently checked on me. The broth in the Ramen was delicious. The chargrilled pork belly was tender. I enjoyed it so much.

Outstanding food and service! This hidden gem is definitely worth visiting. We tried the Vegetable Ramen and the Vegetable Stir-Fried Ramen, and both were delicious. Food is delivered by a talking robot for a unique twist. The atmosphere is lively and casual.

The best crab rangoon wontons I've found in years!!! Has the perfect blend of crab, cream cheese and green onions. The sauce that comes with it is very flavorful as well. The fried pork dumplings and sauce was great too! We also got a side of fried ramen with chicken and it was plenty to share! I got a super yummy strawberry slushy and im in love with their squishy cups. Such a cool texture. I most definitely will be ordering again soon. Place was nice and clean as well. So happy they're here in Tupelo!

The food is good, but the service is just terrible! No personality and no follow up on the patrons. I don't think I'll be back.

Ask the Community - Takumi Ramen Bar

Hi all, i saw on the menu there's a veggie vegan ramen (miso broth), i wanted to make sure if there isn't any seafood because of my food allergy and my dietary restrictions?

Hi! Our vegetable ramen does not contain any seafood. When you dine in or place a to-go order, please feel free to notify your server about your dietary restrictions as well. Thank you.

My manicotti was so bland it could've been served at a tax seminar. For prices that suggest a culinary revelation, we got dishes that wouldn't impress a truck stop diner. The service matched the food's enthusiasm--our server was polite but they weren't giving the Olive Garden a run for their money, let's be real.. The bill hit like a personal insult, far too steep for such a lackluster show. Word is the ramen might be better, but after this, I'm not betting on it. Oxford's food scene isn't barren, far from it. The town boasts gems that deliver honest, delicious fare without the ego. But spots like SoLa, with their trendy pomp and inflated tabs, are a bitter letdown for anyone who's ventured beyond state lines and tasted what distant lands can offer. The Moms and I left wishing we'd picked a place that respects both palate and purse.

Their food selection isn't huge, but that's okay because every single item is amazing. Whether you get their ramen, bao buns, eggrolls, po boys, or appetizers, I promise it will be delicious. My personal favorites are the eggrolls. They have a wide selection on the drink menu, but you can order any standard mixed drinks as well. I recommend trying at least one of their signature cocktails, though, because there are some really neat options! The only downside is the limited seating, which can be annoying if they are super busy. If you get a table or a seat at the bar, you'll have an amazing time. Otherwise, you might be standing along the wall waiting for a spot to open up. That's a risk that's probably worth taking, though, given how great the atmosphere will be while you're here!

Lots of people aren't great singers...that's expected. The karaoke guy runs the worst karaoke show I've seen in a long time. Anywhere from 4 to 7 minutes of thumping bumper music to entertain himself between singers (nothing against the genre, but it was completely opposite of every song people were choosing...know your demographic), no concept at all of basic EQ (vocals buried under the booming and mushy bass) , filled the room with smoke so thick you could barely see the stage, and blows a super loud and annoying air-horn sound effect between every. single. freakin'. song. Again...food, drinks, ambience and service are great. But if you enjoy karaoke, avoid.
