The po boy was very good. However, the menu is a little off base for me. I appreciate the artistry and twists, but there's basically nothing here for a picky-ish eater. The service was really good. It is definitely on the pricier side. We had lunch here on a game day, and there were hardly any people. It has a very modern look and feel to it.

Ramen on Thursdays are always a great time! Boudin Tater Tots are delicious only wish to get more than 4 balls for the price of $17. The jajangmyeon (Korean black bean noodles) were a bit too salty for my palate, but flavor was ok for the fusion take on it. Cocktails are always great too.

One of the most underrated eats in Oxford, MS. Erika the chef is so creative and often updates the menu with local ingredients. From fresh fish to royal red pasta, there's usually something for everyone. However there are dishes that are "wild", but usually are the best ones with explosions of flavor. You can literally taste the love and time put into everything. My favorites usually include Chinese dishes with southern flares. (I'm looking at you ducky dumplings and kimchi tots) They're so creative and always keep me coming back for more. I can't have a favorite bc I always have to try something new. ****Ramen Thursday is not to be missed. It is exceptional and there's nothing like it in Oxford or Mississippi quite honestly. **** The staff is always helpful and super friendly. The bar staff whips up great cocktails. They often have drink and food specials on week nights. Wednesday sgetti & wine for $10 was always the move. Besides ramen Thursday's of course

This has been on my list for a long time! I am only sorry I waited so long! The food, drinks and (maybe most importantly) the service are all extraordinarily amazing!

I can't stop bobbing my head to the music streaming to complete this review. Oxford, MS offers several eateries and Sola should be one of the top selections. If you like variety, curry and duck in a dumpling....you must visit Sola. There's plenty of street parking and room to walk around the square at your leisure before and after. Upon your arrival, put on your readers and "Check the Chalkboard" for their extra eats/specials not featured on the menu. Thanks Cole for helping me select my meal and your wonderful customer service. I am looking forward to my next visit.

She carried this review up to the 3 I'm giving Non-Vintage. First of all, there was a severe deficiency of seating and staff for this event. No one greeted us when we entered, we moved chairs ourselves to make an accommodating space out of the way of the performers, and at no point did a member of staff take our order outside of waiting at the bar. The line for the bar was right in the way of the performers, and many people were forced to wait 10+ minutes for a drink order because there was only one bartender working. Another staff member had offered to help, and the bartender DECLINED, forcing us to continue to wait. I did try the wings and the charcuterie, they were good. I tried the nonalcoholic hibiscus drink and the nonalcoholic summer cooler drink. The summer cooler was much better in my opinion, but both were good nonalcoholic options. I think I would like to try this place when they are not hosting an event, I'm sure it's lovely when they are staffed appropriately for the shift. However, I was sorely disappointed tonight being forced to wait nearly an hour at the bar, missing parts of the show and on my feet for just a drink.

We sat at the bar because it was just the two of us and I had a French 75 and my husband had an old-fashioned. It was by far the best 75 I've ever had! The bartender was by herself and she was working her tail off! There was not a lot of servers, and it was later in the evening, but our bartender was fabulous! She was also our waitress. Started off with the martini mini board. A variety of cheese, nuts, and meats. It was very good for a starter. Not too much and a fun choice to share. We were not a fan of the dried apricots, but ate everything else. We then shared the pesto chicken flatbread. Crisp and warm. Would definitely get again. It was towards the end of the night and some of the staff gathered around the bar and started chatting with us. We told them we were from Baton Rouge. And got on the topic of football. Fun times and getting to know the staff. Our bartender ended up being in the same sorority as our daughter. It was a great evening. We will definitely be back! And highly recommend! Hail State!

Then we were told to leave the property or law enforcement would be called. I have never been so disrespected by a small business ever in my life. I don't even want to speculate as to why we were treated in this manner, other than the color of our skin. This place definitely gives bigotry vibes and I highly recommend staying away from this establishment. With small businesses already fighting inflation and other economic factors, it is ridiculous this establishment would turn away honest, good paying patrons. Personally, South Haven, MS would be a better place without a business that operates like Sippin Silo.

I had a fantastic espresso martini and the best brussel sprouts I've ever tasted! So I was excited to come try something else. On the plus side, the bathroom was so nicely decorated. It was also very clean. I sat at the end of the bar, beside the little section of books. The bartender was nice. I ordered the Ember&Passion cocktail. Although it was pretty good, it was quite mild. Unexpected with the ingredients in it. I was surprised that the level of expected heat was not very detectable. I give it 7/10. When I came here before in the winter, the temperature was perfect and I don't remember being too bothered that they don't have cocktail napkins. But yesterday it was quite warm in the restaurant and not having these napkins wasn't good. Nobody in the restaurant had any type of napkin under any drink! I noticed that just like mine, every glass of water from every patron had a puddle of condensation under the glass. Each time I picked up my glass of water, it would drip onto my food and clothes. My two menus got so wet. I suppose they made this decision to save themselves a lot of money. As for the food: My parmesan truffle fries were excellent!! Hot, crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked in the middle. Best I've had in a long time. The Alabama white sauce on the side was just your typical sauce. It tasted just like every other Alabama white sauce that I've had so was not disappointing. But I actually ended up not using it because it was too thin and it didn't add anything to the fries. The fries were excellent enough on their own. I ordered my burger "pink" but there wasn't any pink to it, but I wasn't that bothered about it. Burger and the toppings were tasty, except for the fried green tomato. Looking closely at the picture, you can see that it was SO SMALL compared to the size of the burger. When a restaurant does that, don't they realize that it makes for a glaring disappointment?! It apparently came from near the end of the tomato, and not the middle. If you are going to offer a fried green tomato on a burger, then I feel as if you should only use the larger slices of the tomato, and save the smaller ends for maybe putting in salads. I've always been obsessed with fried green tomatoes. After having my first two bites of burger and still not reaching the tomato, I took it off to eat by itself. Sadly, it tasted terrible! I was surprised. Obviously, they didn't season the tomato or the batter. (Salt and pepper go a long way.) The burger toppings apparently made the tomato batter not only soggy, but also this strange thick texture. Like mushy and chewy at the same time. 1/10 Worst problem: FLIES!!! So many flies! When I just had my drink but no food yet, I noticed them but was not bombarded by them at that point. It wasn't until my food came. All of a sudden I was literally surrounded by them. They were everywhere! No exaggeration. I actually had to use only one hand to eat and the other hand to constantly move back and forth over my food. I eventually gave up and set the plate of some of my fries about 4 inches in front of my burger in order to hopefully draw the flies to the fries so that I could eat my burger. Unfortunately, after only four bites of my burger, when I set it down to take a drink of water, a fly landed on it within one second. Obviously, that was my last bite, and even when I was moving the plate closer to the end of the counter, two more flies landed on it. The glass of straws was inches from me. That, and the book closest to me seemed to be where they gathered to wait for their opportunity to dive bomb me. So many of them! It turned my stomach when I realized that I had been drinking from a straw with my water and I'm sure there had been flies on it before I got there. Every person that gets a straw in their drink at this restaurant has had a fly sitting on top of it. When the bartender told me about the desserts, it turned my stomach to think of just how many flies were in the kitchen. Had I known the fly situation was that bad when I first got my drink, I would have never stayed there, and I certainly would have never ordered food. I do think it is a real shame because the winter months are a totally different experience in that restaurant. But because of how horrible it was this time, I just can't ever come back.

When it came to service however, it was severely lacking. Slow, understaffed and rude. I like to look at how a restaurant or bar's higher staff treat their employees. Bar Fontaine's managing staff should be VERY ashamed. I heard management tell off a server and bartender for making a very basic mistake and when I asked them how they liked working there, they simply replied "if I could do it over I would." According to them, the management is super nice to the customers but not to the employees constantly starting drama and making it difficult for an employee to keep their job. The head chef is also apparently a real a-hole and says inappropriate suggestive comments to their female staff as well, the server was telling me. When I was walking out of the hotel on the last day of my stay I encountered one of the managers and talked to them to see how they would treat me. It was an older woman with glasses.
