At 4 every evening this wonderful bar opens up on the top floor of The Cotton House! Wonderful bartender and staff! The drinks are great and the service was excellent! Great way to end the day with a lovely view!

Its is a great spot to catch up with family and friends and "break bread". On my last visit I throughly enjoyed my drinks with the rest of my family and I personally selected the shrimp quesadilla and a side of pasta and I was very satisfied with my selection. The rest of my family had a variety of fried fish, salads, wings, and such. So if you are in town check them out and you wont be disappointed!

We asked if we should seat ourselves and we were told we could sit anywhere. We sat for 10 - 15 minutes and no one ever came to our table. There was a group of 4 being helped by a waiter. He collected their menus and immediately walked back to the kitchen area. He didn't say one word to us. You would think we were from another planet and they didn't want to approach us. We laughed because we could not believe this was actually happening to us. We decided to leave and came to Big Waters Cafe at the casino. They greeted us immediately and we were impressed. We sat and waited for an extended period to get our order there also. We are chalking this experience up to being in a small town and the people just don't know any better. I highly recommend you drive by this establishment. DO NOT STOP. Keep driving until you reach a larger city where people know how to interact with people when they come in for service. I will never go back.

The bartender did not look at us once and when my brother asked if he had any recommendations or a favorite, he responded "no" without even looking up. When I asked for 2 drinks I was told they were out which was fine, but then I asked what they did have and was told, "look if it has a cap on it". The Growler was something my family was looking forward to since they were coming for the first time from Connecticut and had heard good things, but the bartender made it seem like we weren't wanted there. I did not end up getting a drink which was an unfortunate way to end my graduation night.

I've been to The Growler quite a few times and have always had a great experience. I decided to swing in this week while back in town and it really held up. The staff working the bar are consistently awesome - they're personable, quick, and extremely helpful. The beer is always well poured. Their food is always great for the atmosphere. Some places tend to get lazy when serving bar food, but that is not the case for The Growler. There is so much seating available if you are planning to hang out with friends, and they have a few tvs and games available for use. It is somehow also a great spot for working - I have typed many, many papers here and have somehow never been too distracted despite this place often being filled with groups of people.

The service was really good. It is definitely on the pricier side. We had lunch here on a game day, and there were hardly any people. It has a very modern look and feel to it.

She ordered the tuna special with coconut risotto; I went for the manicotti. The tuna was passable but forgettable. elevator music in fish form. The risotto? Mushy, coconut-scented regret. Sorry mom? My manicotti was so bland it could've been served at a tax seminar. For prices that suggest a culinary revelation, we got dishes that wouldn't impress a truck stop diner. The service matched the food's enthusiasm--our server was polite but they weren't giving the Olive Garden a run for their money, let's be real.. The bill hit like a personal insult, far too steep for such a lackluster show. Word is the ramen might be better, but after this, I'm not betting on it. Oxford's food scene isn't barren, far from it. The town boasts gems that deliver honest, delicious fare without the ego. But spots like SoLa, with their trendy pomp and inflated tabs, are a bitter letdown for anyone who's ventured beyond state lines and tasted what distant lands can offer. The Moms and I left wishing we'd picked a place that respects both palate and purse.
