When it came to service however, it was severely lacking. Slow, understaffed and rude. I like to look at how a restaurant or bar's higher staff treat their employees. Bar Fontaine's managing staff should be VERY ashamed. I heard management tell off a server and bartender for making a very basic mistake and when I asked them how they liked working there, they simply replied "if I could do it over I would." According to them, the management is super nice to the customers but not to the employees constantly starting drama and making it difficult for an employee to keep their job. The head chef is also apparently a real a-hole and says inappropriate suggestive comments to their female staff as well, the server was telling me. When I was walking out of the hotel on the last day of my stay I encountered one of the managers and talked to them to see how they would treat me. It was an older woman with glasses. She treated me like an old friend which normally I would have enjoyed but this time I was absolutely disgusted. Just from what I was told, I will not be giving service to them again and will not stay at the hotel.

It has a cool atmosphere and the service was fine. The food was mediocre at best. We ordered the mozzarella sticks for an app and they were the same as any frozen ones you get at the grocery store. Next we ordered the smash burger with waffle fries. The burger was bland. It needed more seasoning. The only way we got it down was by dipping it in ranch. The waffle fries were the best thing we had but nothing special. I would not eat here again.

April made super cocktails and we learned about a new drink that she said would make us ten feet tall, so I had a few and felt at least 16 feet tall. What a beautiful person to know and be around. Very positive vibes. The food was good, the staff were friendly and didn't mind getting my butt whipped on the pool table. It was a special evening I'll not soon forget so I'll have to come back and see my new friends again. I came with my nephew and made a new friend there from my hometown. I like salt so this didn't ruin it for me, but I was pretty surprised how salty it was and would specifically request less salt (if possible) next time. The pizza is delicious, definitely don't need to make it this salty so if adding extra salt on top you can X that! I loved the atmosphere. Very clean and well lit, with a good amount of TVs but not too many. Comfortable seats well spaced. Cool outdoor space. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely stop again!

Instead of stepping in, the bartenders just laughed and kept serving her. It felt really irresponsible. The drinks weren't the worst I've had, but definitely not memorable. The whole place just seemed classless compared to the previous bar. Definitely not worth the hype. If you are into Nashville style bars, this may be the place for you though

The staff working the bar are consistently awesome - they're personable, quick, and extremely helpful. The beer is always well poured. Their food is always great for the atmosphere. Some places tend to get lazy when serving bar food, but that is not the case for The Growler. There is so much seating available if you are planning to hang out with friends, and they have a few tvs and games available for use. It is somehow also a great spot for working - I have typed many, many papers here and have somehow never been too distracted despite this place often being filled with groups of people.
