Shrimp and grits
Janet P.

Cool vibes abound. Local brews on tap and a great fare of winded food choices. I'm a fan of seafood, so the blackened catfish and shrimp and grits were easy choices. The shrimp and grits is quite tasty, not as dense with grits as other preparations and the shells and heads have been removed. Catfish, tender, good flavors and the smoky sausage bits. Yum. The wedge salad is a classic and the spring salad added cheese and nuts. Music. We went on a night without live entertainment and the music was a very eclectic 80s mix. Not at all what I expected l .

PENNE WITH FILET STEAK AND GORGONZOLA SAUCE. Long Island and I guess that was a blue moon.

Love Levon's! Great food, drinks and service, Naomi and Jbles are always wonderful and the vibe is always friendly and chill.

Came for dinner. This place is cool. Had a funny and cool server. She was really friendly and helpful. We split the chicken stir fry and it was great. Highly recommend! Check it out.

Ok we loved this place. We had kacia as a waitress and she was awesome. She added to the ambiance of the early Xmas decorations and the two chefs who came out to greet us. We loved the Mac n cheese dish, the shrimp and grits and the salmon. And I'm choosy. The drinks were fantastic. The lemon drop. The Moscow mule and the half peach schnapps and half vodka. Good drinks. Good food. Good company. Y'all come back now. Great place for a fun dinner.

What an excellent place! Very accommodating to our large group! We knew they would be busy during the Juke Joint Festival, so we called in advance and reserved a table. We all had such a fun time, the live music was impressive and lively! The bartender and entire wait staff were all very friendly! It was kindof hectic in there, with the festival going on, but they did a great job! The food did take a little while to get to us, but like I said- we were a large group, and it was during a festival. Completely understandable! Hope to come back next year, and will definitely be visiting Levon's when I do! :)

Of course, their music was what attracted many people over from all over the world, but I can…read morehonestly say that out of the food that I have had, I thoroughly enjoyed it all in terms of taste. It was economical, too, so we had quality food while spending a reasonable amount of money. I had the catfish BLT, which was a simple catfish burger with the most basic ingredients. Yet the catfish itself was so tasty that I didn't even need ketchup or mayo for the burger. It was so seasoned that it definitely made the burger an enjoyable experience. My partner had the kingfish platter which was essentially catfish as well. But then there was a small cup of coleslaw that we both thought was the best we've had, mainly because they didn't use mayo but some kind of vinegar to supplement the taste. And then my partner had the deep fried pecan pie and I had a taste of it. Even though I am not even the biggest fan of pecan pie, I really enjoyed that one and I think it was because the deep fried aspect along with whipped cream complemented the gelatinous material in pecan pies (don't know how to call it). There was music 365 days a week in the club, and particularly we were there during the annual Sunflower River Blues & Gospel Festival, so it was extra special. There were visitors all over the world attending the festival and many great bands played in the club. The amount of mess on the walls in the club speaks to the historically and culturally rich aspect of this club and of this town. Definitely a 5 star experience.

Best catfish I ever ate! Great place for blues music too. Staff here are wonderfulread more

122 came out to feed our faculty at the elementary school, and while there were some bumps along…read morethe way, there were bright spots worth mentioning too. The Experience: They ran a little behind schedule, and the service felt a bit rushed and impersonal once they arrived. Sauces and condiments weren't automatically offered -- I had to ask. The order flow could use some work as well; tickets weren't being honored in sequence, which meant one of my coworkers waited nearly an hour for her food. We waited on her before eating, so everything was lukewarm by the time we dug in -- which probably didn't do the food any favors. The Food: The crawfish bites and shrimp didn't quite hit the mark for me -- they tasted a little closer to store-bought than made-from-scratch. The fries were just okay, and the wings were nothing to write home about. That said, several folks in our group enjoyed the fish, so that may be the safer bet if you visit. The Star of the Show: The 122 sauce -- now that was something special. Flavorful, bold, with the most delightful little pepper bits throughout. Honestly, they should put that sauce front and center and let it do the talking. It's the kind of thing that could make you a loyal customer. With some improvements to timing, service, and consistency, 122 could really shine. I hope they keep refining -- that sauce alone tells me the potential is there. I'm glad it was a beautiful day for the long wait.
