Jan 31,2026-Great experience. Came in to get oil change and state safety inspection. They said my oil was still clean and recommend that I come back in three months. I was there last time and got long lasting oil. So many past experiences where oil change places will upcharge. I really liked staying in car for state inspection too. Fast and convenient on a cold day. My only concern is on my last four visits were all different staff and crew. I wish they can keep a consistent staff. It is like going to your favorite barber shop and having a different new barber that knows nothing about how you want your hair cut. Same as taking your car to your favorite garage and favorite mechanic who knows everything about your car. Please invest in your staff. Pay them well. It would be nice to have employees wear Take 5 shirts. Some person asked me what I wanted and offered me a water bottle. Had no idea he worked there. You want repeat visits and great word of mouth? You want customers to come back to and feel valued? Then treat this location better. read more

Go literally ANYWHERE else. I've never written a bad review but the quality of service was ridiculous. I went in for a simple oil change and system flush only for Take 5 techs to leave SEVERAL compartments under my hood open, down to the transmission cap left rolling around under the hood. I had to see several professional mechanics to diagnose all the issues I've had since taking it to Take 5... just to find out most of the car issues were caused by their lack of attention. And verbalized that I did not get the coupon. I was told that if I did not have it, that I could not use it. Which the lack falls on the establishment. I asked to talked to a manger multiple times. There were 2 cars in front of me, I know many reviews are complaining about the wait time but it's still faster than going to a dealership or doing it myself. They apologized for the wait, ummmm I'm not the only one wanting an oil change and waiting inside my car is NOT a big deal. The guys working were very helpful, informative and didn't try to upsale anything which I appreciate. They had to flush the oil because I neglected to bring it in time and were very quick. I was debating on which place to get an oil change on my Volvo(Maneke(?), Jiffy Lube). I had to go by Walgreen's on Custer & Spring Creek to pick up my meds and I saw this place right next door. After I was done with Walgreen's, I drove over there as there was one car being serviced and one waiting. Nick came to my car and asked me if he could help and I told him I needed an oil change. He directed me to go behind the 1st stall. When I pulled into the 1st stall, I was met with Dillon and he explained about what I may need and asked me if I was a veteran and I said yes(USMC) and he gave me 25% off the service. I was very appreciative. Dillon and his co-worker worked as a team and they were very polite, honest, quick and efficient. They did all that while I sat in a car. I would definitely return for a repeated business. By the way, while I was getting my oil change, I've noticed there were several cars waiting behind me. Needed an oil change and went to 2 other Take 5s before I got to this one. Both told me they didn't have my filter in stock for my car. I got to this Take 5 later than I should've since it was close to closing time. I told Hayden what happened and he pulled out the filter immediately and said they had it and it was one of the most common filters. Him and his associate said they'd get it taken care of and got to work. Service was precise and quick. We had great conversation, he was personable, and such a hard worker. The longest 5 minutes I have spent ever. The oil change took about 10 minutes once they got to it but it was another 10 minutes before they got to it once I pulled into the bay. And this was on a Tuesday at 2:30 PM in the afternoon. The pricing are competitive and the results are yet to be determined. read more

Took my car here for an oil change in August. I don't drive the car everyday so last week I was on my way to Dallas and my check engine light and oil pressure light came on and then the car started acting like it didn't want to accelerate. I got nervous and took car to dealership where I was told that whoever changed my oil didn't tighten the filter after changing the oil and it caused a leak. I only had 1/2 quart of oil in my car at that time and was told that a few more miles and I would have had to replace my entire engine or worse. This was inexcusable and caused me to have to pay for another oil change and the testing which was over $200 just because your new technician didn't know or care what he was doing. My experience was fantastic with Darrin and Josh! Came in for the works. An oil change, filter replacements (cabin and hood), and an inspection. Brought my own cabin filter and they were nice enough to put it in for me. Came around 6pm and left in thirty minutes. They were quick and very knowledgeable. Gave me a few tips to take with me too! First of all, I hate having to get oil changes and I normally wouldn't have never considered getting an oil change from a business like this. Just never considered it. However, my daughter needed an oil change, while having limited time, so one of her coworkers recommended Take 5. She bragged about how quick they were and about their great service. So when I found myself in a similar situation, I said what the hell. Well, I hate I waited so long to try them out. The service man Nolan greeted me upon my arrival and was extremely pleasant. As my car was being worked on, the other service man, David was just as nice. They both explained the process and answered any questions with smiles. Keep in mind it was over 100 degrees but they remain professional and helpful throughout the entire process. This process was much better than going to get an oil change in the past. Back in February, I took my car to get an oil change at the Take 5 location in Plano off of Spring Creek. At the time, I was very sick and couldn't change it myself, therefore had to take it somewhere. I took a chance with this shop since I saw that it had recently opened. This decision became a nightmare. A few weeks ago I had to change my oil once again, I do it every 5,000 miles on my vehicle. I got it on the ramps at my house and began to take the oil drain plug out and realized that the plug just spun and wouldn't come out. This indicates that the last person to do my oil change, which was Take 5, ruined the threads in my vehicles oil pan. This was the first time the plug has been touched since I took it to Take 5 months ago. Since I was afraid the plug would explode out due to the pressure in the engine I didn't turn the engine on and had my brother tow my car all the way over to the shop. At the shop they tried taking the plug out, but they soon came to the same realization as I did. The threads were messed up. They told me that whoever did my last oil change, which was one of their employees, screwed it up. They were telling me how they will file a claim so my vehicle can get taken to a different shop and fixed. All three employees told me that it was Take 5's mistake and they will fix it. Then the shop manager came over and said that they weren't responsible because I tried to take the plug out 30 minutes ago to do my 5,000 mile oil change by myself. The thing with this is that I would've never known the threads were screwed if I didn't attempt to take the plug out. The manager gave me the email to the district manager. The manager of the shop told me to send the district manager an email to get this situation resolved. I sent the district manager an email that day, but got no response. I sent him another email 2 days later, but got no response. Came to the Take 5 that ruined my vehicle 2 times to tell him that the district manager isn't responding, still, no response. I decided to call corporate, and within 1 hour of calling corporate, he finally sent me an email. This was frustrating because I could tell that he was ignoring my emails. It took me a week to get a response and I would've never even gotten one if I didn't call corporate. I basically told him the whole situation. After a few emails back and forth, he sent me the final report which claimed that I lied and I did my own oil change between the time Take 5 did mine back in February. He got this idea through a blurry picture of my dipstick where the oil didn't seem "dark" enough for it to have been in my car for 5,000 miles. He discredited me and said none of the employees told me it was Take 5's mistake even though three of the employees said otherwise. He also said that the drain plug would've leaked from the time they put it back, which is also false. Through the emails he sent me, it's obvious that he was looking for ways to get out of being responsible for ruining my oil plug. Listen, if you want an oil change, stay away from Take 5. If they mess your car up they will put the blame on you and not take responsibility. They will happily lie to your face. Go to a credible shop or even do it on your own. read more

There are no prices posted because their prices are outrageous!!!! THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME $74.00!!!!!!!!!!! I have use take five oil change for many years now I have moved so I go to the Spring Creek location. I have to say they were very quick and very professional. First right off the bat Darrin came out to my truck and gave me a ice cold water. Wow you can't get service like this anywhere.I don't think I was there for 10 minutes. They changed my oil air filter and windshield wipers and topped off my fluids .thank you very much Morgun ,Darrin ,and let's not forget Nathaniel in the PIT never seen him but I could hear him. This was my first time here. I was looking for a quick oil change, and that's what I got. And then some! A shout out for the customer service Eric and Ryan provided: a bottle of water, a quick customer intake, a clean windshield, and aired-up tires on top of the oil change. I also appreciated that I was notified of a potential air leak in one of my tires (which I will get checked out tomorrow), that I was honestly told my air filter could last through at least another oil change, and that my coolant should be replaced, but there was no pressure to accept the service. First impression: They drained my transmission fluid instead of my oil. Manager made it right, didn't charge me for the transmission change, oil change, or the next oil change. Second time, the manager saw it was me, and said that he would take care of my truck instead of the kids. He did my oil change, next day I was on the highway and my skid plate came off because he never tightened the bolts. Third time... I don't know why I went back, mainly because they're close to home. I came here for an oil change and got full synthetic oil. I had to get some repairs done on my car a few months later at my usual shop and was told i had completely black oil. When i told my shop i had just got it changed they didnt even believe me until they saw the sticker in my window. Take 5 completely ripped me off. Worst customer service I have ever experienced! The man that helped me clearly didn't want to be working and he made me feel like it was an inconvenience to him that I needed an inspection. He was very rude from start to finish and treated me like I was stupid when I asked him to repeat his question when I didn't understand him because of his mask.
