I come here for my oil change every 5000 miles. (Only because I use synthetic oil in my vehicle). For a fair price, which includes my military discount, I had them use Mobil One synthetic. It's the best oil and my car runs better because of it. For my vehicle, I find this to be a great deal. They do forget to do a few things that should be included with an oil change ie. check the air in the tires etc. but if you remind them, they will do it without hesitation! Finding anyone willing to work in these hot conditions, and put up with customers crap is amazing! There was a Karen in a car behind me and boy oh boy was she trouble. She finally left. But not before she rear--ended another car in a rush to leave. Served her right! Trusting, a mechanic, with your car, is no different than going to a doctor. You have to search till you find a good one. You hope they change the oil and that they replace the plug. Not rocket science, however, for your vehicle to run correctly you want it done properly. I've not had any issues with Take 5. Plus!!!! They do inspections! June 2025

    Oil all over the engine

Took my car for the first time since having the car to get an oil change from here next day later my check engine light came on. I had the car for 3 months and never had a problem with it. I checked for any codes after I bought nothing came up until I got the oil change. there was also oil all over the engine. And I also called to get a price and the lady said it would be $80 for full synthetic and that the out of the door price I guess she didn't know what she was talking about, because when I got there, I wind up spending $120. the code was a EVAP system leak I don't know what they did when they was underneath the car but I would definitely not go back here.

Went for a standard oil change, but they're actually out of standard oil. Had to pay for premium oil change . What oil place runs out of oil. They said the corp office was not sending it to them. Had clue on when they would have it in. Said all the stores were out :(

I took my wife's vehicle to this Valvoline location for an oil change about two weeks ago, and the…read moreexperience went from disappointing to completely unacceptable. When I arrived, I was told the oil change would take about 20 minutes. Instead, it took more than 45 minutes while we sat in extremely hot weather. The people in the vehicle next to me had been waiting even longer for another service. I left thinking I probably wouldn't return, but what happened afterward made that decision permanent. A few days later, my wife drove her vehicle and immediately noticed that it wasn't running normally. She described it as sluggish and lethargic. Since I was out of town, she drove my vehicle until I returned. When I checked her vehicle myself, I didn't immediately notice anything obvious, but she knows how her vehicle normally feels and insisted something wasn't right. I took it to Firestone on Greenville to have it checked. Their technicians found that the engine oil had been **overfilled and was dirty**. Their assessment was that the Valvoline technician may not have completely drained the old oil before adding the new oil, leaving an excessive amount of oil in the crankcase. Firestone changed the oil again and provided documentation of what they found. I returned to Valvoline and spoke with the "On Duty Manager." After some fumbling around, he eventually pulled up my receipt. I asked for a refund and was told that, because he was only the "On Duty Manager," he could print my receipt but apparently could not issue a refund or resolve the problem. Instead, I was told that I needed to contact customer support myself and explain the entire situation. At that point, my patience was gone. I told him that Valvoline should be contacting its own support department to resolve a problem caused at their location rather than making the customer do all the work. He called Cody, who told me he would contact me the following day sometime between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The next day, I received a call from Mo, another "On Duty Manager," along with a Customer Care representative. Mo told me they would refund the oil change, but the amount he initially quoted did not include the taxes I had paid. I caught the discrepancy, and the Customer Care representative agreed and corrected it. I will give credit where it is due: **the Customer Care representative did an excellent job.** She listened to my concerns, understood why I was upset, and handled the refund professionally. Unfortunately, that does not change my opinion of this location. A business that performs oil changes all day should be able to properly drain and refill an engine without overfilling it. An oil change is one of the most basic services they provide, and I should not have had to pay another shop to correct their work and then fight to get my money refunded. I would not recommend this location to anyone. I'm glad I eventually received my refund, but I will never have another vehicle serviced here. On the other hand, **Firestone on Greenville was excellent**, as they have been every time I've taken one of my vehicles there. The only reason I didn't go there in the first place was because I assumed they would be too busy. Lesson learned. I'll wait for Firestone next time. **Avoid this Valvoline location like COVID-19.**

Wish I had handed my tip to him since the rest of the staff was MIA!!! (1 heavy set white male, and 2 black males did a disappearing act when it got busy!) Those 3 fellas disappearing act caused a great delay in running the cars through the wash. They are under new management. Not sure how long that will last. Fairly certain they had several employees..... BUT, only 1-2 were working. (A female and a thin white male. Those 2 were the only ones getting the cars washed and drying them.) Pretty sad situation to watch. The other staff were off in a room to the side. Not a good start for a new business. If I noticed, makes me wonder how many others observed the staffs apathy to work? 3 staffers left the front of the business unattended for 20 minutes. That's sad. This caused a delay for cars being placed through the wash. I felt uncomfortable, pretty sure I will not be returning. I'll go back to Trademark up the road. This place is not dependable. Highly, suggest you go elsewhere! January 2023

However, my disappointment began about six months later when the alternator failed unexpectedly. This location advertises a "limited lifetime warranty" on some parts. In the case of an alternator that would be 12 months, but when I contacted them about the faulty alternator, I was told there was nothing they could do because we had since moved. This left me with no support and forced to pay for another new alternator out-of-pocket. Alternators should last much longer than six months, so I was shocked they wouldn't stand behind their warranty or make any effort to help with the additional costs. I felt let down by their lack of accountability. If they're using parts that don't hold up, they should either reconsider their suppliers or at least honor their warranty terms more consistently, even in situations like mine. Because of this experience, I can't recommend this location, and if you're considering them, you might be better off looking elsewhere for a mechanic who truly stands behind their work and warranties. At the very least, they should have honored their one-year warranty as promised.
