I took my husbands 2002 Dodge to get an oil change yesterday and I was very happy with how they serviced the truck. They checked all of the fluids and filters and made sure to update me as they worked. Gabe was the main guy who helped me and he was very informative and respectful and made sure to take care of our old girl. Again, I will always recommend Take 5! read more

If I could give zero stars I would, got an oil change for $117 just to have it leaving puddles of oil on my driveway! Went back and they replaced the oil filter again with a new one after telling me at first it was just residual oil from the oil change. Asked for absorbent or a way to clean my driveway and they had nothing to offer. 10/10 do not recommend read more

My first time to a take 5! The team worked really well together and everyone was in a great mood. It made my experience very pleasant! Michaela helped me today and was so awesome. read more

Got the oil changed in my car a few days ago and now oil is leaking out of the car. I tried getting in contact with the company through their listed phone number and nobody picked up the phone and I had no option to leave a voicemail. I am very dissiapointed with their customer service and will not be attending here again. read more

They greeted us and asked if we'd like water. The team was super friendly and quick. Esteban communicated every step of the way.

I always come to take 5 for my oil changes but never to this location it was down the road from my work so i just popped in and the service there is fantastic got my oil done quickly and Jose gave 5 star service. read more

So the Take 5 Oil commercials showing fast oil changes while you sit in your car piqued my interest. However, the mixed reviews of various locations made me hesitate. But I took the leap mainly due to a discount maintenance voucher that I received from the dealership when I bought my used BMW 7 series. I was pleasantly surprised. The technicians were friendly and attentive. They also seem knowledgeable as every vehicle make has very different requirements when it comes to type of oil used. Also, like the commercials state, the process is quick and painless. I'm not sure if it really takes only 5 minutes, but in well under 10 minutes I had my oil changed, filter replaced, and tire pressure checked. It's not glitzy or glamorous, but the effort to provide quality service is palpable. One thing to keep in mind when choosing a Take 5 location is that not all of them service BMW vehicles - something about bimmers not having dip sticks. Thankfully, this one takes care of BMW's, Mercedes, Audi's, and other German vehicles. For routine maintenance on an out of warranty vehicle, this Take 5 location seems to provide a practical and affordable solution. I'll definitely be back in 5,000 miles for another Take 5 oil change. read more

I came in for an inspection and interacted with a total of three employees. The wait was a bit long due to how busy they were, but the customer service more than made up for it. Everyone I spoke with was friendly, helpful, and professional. Exceptional service all around--definitely worth the wait! read more

Good afternoon. My wife took her car into the location mentioned below today to have the oil changed. However, after waiting she was told her oil could not be changed due to the oil plug head being rounded off so badly that it could not be removed. The sales-person then referred her to the Meineke down the street and telling her they could remove it for between $4-500. As you can see from the picture attached, the plug is in decent condition and an adjustable wrench can remove it (I know because I just did it). She's unsure of the person's name who was assisting her but after waiting there for a large amount of time, it all turned out to be a wasted effort. It's sad to say this was our first experience with Take 5 and will be our last as well. I'm also unsure of the motive of the salesperson saying the oil could not be changed and why they would turn away business. This person either needs additional training, are incompetent, or they're a liar and need to be terminated. There's also the possibility they're just lazy and are paid by the hour, whether they serve customers effectively or not. Whatever the outcome they're costing this place money. Thank you for your time and have a great day. 1516 W University Mckinney, TX 75069 read more

Everyone who took care of us was awesome! I would highly recommend. The staff wasn't pushy, was genuinely kind and attentive, and it just felt like I was going to a family friend for an oil change. I live kinda far so there are definitely places closer to me, but I'm loyal now to this location prices are fairly standard, but they offer so many coupons that I felt like I was getting a deal. They truly went above and beyond just an oil change by replacing my cabin filter at a price lower than if I just did it myself (again with the coupons hehe), pinning up the plastic part under my car that was dragging for no extra charge, and the cherry on top was offering my son fruit snacks and a capri sun :-) thank y'all! read more

Sheldon was great. He did what he could to get my inspection done quickly and cleaned the window and made sure the wires were put up that got left down before. thank you sir! read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars Mr. Juan the Astt manager was amazing and did everything efficient Prices are good Service very efficient read more

Quick and great service! In and out within 15 minutes. They offered us water, car air freshener, and helped reset the maintenance reminder on my car. We'll be back again! read more

Didn't have oil filter for my car, told me to get it and will get reimbursed on it, but they only gave me $5 discount, when the filter cost more than $20. Ended up paying more than $200 for an oil change and it took forever to get it done. Spoke to the store Manager, and he said the best that he could do was giving me $5 discount, I told him that if that was the case I would definitely not ever come back, he didn't seem to care read more

I was quoted $60 for a service and then went to kwik kar and they did it for $30. They were great. Try kwik Kar first

I needed a high end synthetic oil change. They didn't have the top I needed but they ran across to a store and pick some up. Thought that was pretty good of them. I'll definitely go back. I also have my inspection done here on the first because they had a sign out front saying today was the day to start my inspections. read more

This is my second time here. I came for the top off they promise half way through and they delivered in their promise. They also checked all my fluids and tires while doing the top off. The first time here they mentioned it after the oil change so I had to test it and they weren't lying EVERYONE had excellent customer service! And I swear it only took 5 min, I will come back time and time again just for this reason. Most places don't have customer service skills at all and everyone here does. Also they have a sign that says honk if you receive good service or something along those lines so you better believe I'm honking every time! Worth every penny, especially for a top off included! read more

My bf and I bring our cars here bc they have AMAZING customer service, offer him a military discount, are super quick, don't over charge, aren't weirdos, etc. Can't brag enough about this place! Highly highly highly recommend! read more

These guys were awesome! Efficient, enjoyable, and helpful. I found my new Take 5 oil location.

Got an oil change with my niece and nephew in the car with me- something that could've been disastrous- but Dawson and Matthew and the rest of the crew at this location were quick and kind! I had a coupon for $10 off an oil change, but they were able to find me a deal for changing my cabin air filter as well (and it was definitely due for a new one). They showed me and talked to me about everything they took a look at and didn't try to charge me for or convince me to add any unnecessary services. Thanks so much Dawson and Matthew for your help and quick work! read more

Great service, friendly, helpful and honest. They didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need. Even showed me my air filter and told me I don't need a new one yet. As a woman, I catch auto repair places trying to take advantage of me all the time. Coupons online and Veteran discount. Check them out next time you need an oil change. read more

They missed a screw or something and the under side of my car was hanging down. Came back a few days later and they fixed it, but had me wait for an hour. Refused to let me slide up in line even though it was their mistake. The oil change is pretty expensive for all that. I don't recommend. Won't be back. read more

I've only been disappointed by this location. No one is ever on time. It's almost an hour after opening and there isn't an employee in sight... read more

Needed an oil change - I've been to a different Take 5 location for a couple years, no problems. First time at Take 5 Oil Change in McKinney, I find my Jeep is leaking oil after their services. I took my Jeep back to their location and they mentioned they "fixed" it by tightening the oil filter. Few hours later, my Jeep is still leaking oil. I then took it to a dealership the following day, and found out there was a hole in my filter from Take 5 using improper tools. This was a mistake that could've been fixed on my second trip to Take 5 (or been avoided completely by properly training employees). This experience has corrupted my trust in Take 5 - I don't think I will recommend this place for oil changes again. read more

Took my Infinity there to get an oil change.. It took a long time and I questioned why.. It looked like the manager got in his car and left while they were working on my car.. They couldn't get the filter off.. It took 2 different guys to get it off.. I asked if there was anything for me to be concerned about.. The guy with the Afro smoking the vape pen said " nah bru.. just had some trouble getting that filter off." Now my car is leaking and it's gonna cost way more time and money than I saved trying to go here.. I guess you get what you pay for... read more

Horrible experience. All the way through the company. My boyfriend took my car in to get an oil changed as I am a disabled veteran. While getting the oil changed one of the employees used a screw driver to pop the clamps on my air filter housing. Which isnt supposed to happen. Both clamps broke. They then SCREWED MY HOUSING SHUT. Yes, with a physical metal screw. My boyfriend left his information and they had my information in the system. I never got a call ONCE about them ordering a new part or what they were going to do to fix the situation. This was on July 3, 2022. It is now August 1, 2022 and I STILL have not heard from anyone about where my part is. I went to the physical location two weeks ago and spoke to someone who said they were the manager. He said the part was ordered and it was in Oklahoma City. My car is now overheating, to which the "manager" gaslighted me telling me it was my coolant or my thermostat. I know how to work on cars. I have also taken my car to a mechanic that told me to stop driving my car because the incorrect air intake can destroy my engine and that was MOST DEFINITELY causing my engine to overheat. I now cannot make it to my VA appointments and have had to have my medications mailed to me since I can't pick them up. I have exhausted every possibly route to talk to these people and NO ONE has contacted me in any way. I have called customer service and pressed 3 several times. I have sent e mails. I even had a live chat where I was immediately disconnected when I brought up the BBB. I will be filing a report with the BBB, the FTC, and the police. I hope after reading this LAST RESORT that SOMEONE will have the balls to contact me. Maybe not. Either way, this is the last time I will use this service. Never again. I have been a loyal customer for years but you have definitely lost business. Horrible customer service and I was treated like an idiot because I was a female. Once I am COVID negative, I will be back up at the store to speak to the so called manager again. Ridiculous that I have to go to these lengths. edit: my BBB review came back and the company is asking for proof that it happened at their store. took the pictures and sent them in. The manager, Andrew, needs to be fired. I saw shit leadership in the military and I'm seeing it again, only difference is im the one paying for it. this man does not need to be a supervisor or work with customers. one day he's going to catch an ass whopping from someone bigger and smarter than him. that's not a threat, it's a premonition of what's going to happen. and what needs to happen. read more

Top service! Recently moved to Princeton and have been on the hunt for an oil change spot that I can trust. Decided to go to Take 5 in McKinney because it's the closest one to me and had always been to a Take 5 previously before moving. They did not disappoint. The gentleman who greeted me offered me a water while I wait and Stephen took over and was quick, efficient and explained everything that was going. As a woman who struggles with any type of car knowledge, I really appreciate that kind of transparency. read more

I was trying this company for the first time on Thursday, July 13th. When I pulled up, there were no cones or signs saying whether I should pull my car in or wait for someone to come out. The only sign I saw said to stay in the car. So, not knowing what to do, I slowly started pulling in. After I barely entered, an employee started screaming at the top of his lungs at me to back out. I immediately said I'm sorry and put my car in reverse. He continued to scream at me while I was backing out and then he stormed off without even speaking to me. I have never been treated so rudely by a business. Do not go here! read more

The crew is always friendly & efficient. They explain what they're going to do, and then do exactly what they said they were going to do. With the price of oil, the price is quite reasonable. I've never had to wait long to have my oil changed here. read more
