He said they was busy and it would be an hour wait but I was willing to wait. He never came back to give me the status. I ask some of the other staff to check and they was not friendly either. I have brought my car to your establishment in the past but it had been a while. He insinuated because I hadn't been to you that I wasn't taking care of my vehicle. All the staff seems to have the worst attitudes and I am not sure if it's racially motivated but I am uncomfortable. There were people that came after me but got their vehicle back before me. I feel I should have been notified of the status Instead I had approximately a 3 1/2 hour wait. I won't be back to that location. I have a 2015 Nissan Altima.

They are lovely here - the customer service is phenomenal and they are HONEST to a degree rarely found in this industry. It's always pretty busy, and they don't take appointments - it's always first come, first serve - so I usually try to make it in as early as possible, but I've never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time. I know that if I drop my car off in the morning, they'll have it ready for me by the end of the day. They are never trying to gauge you on price - many times I have come in expecting to replace a tire and they've told me it's unnecessary; instead, I've left with a tire patched and paid nothing. Because they are so wonderful here, my whole family really makes an effort to bring all the business we can to them. I'd rather deal with Gateway than a dealership any day! We stumbled upon them about five years ago and we will continue to bring our cars to them as long as they stay in business.

I knew that was the problem. I also knew the car I was bringing was an older "clunker" that I did not want to invest much into for repairs. Upon arrival, I attempted to explain this to the receptionist. She didn't even make contact with me, but instead just told me that the mechanic would take care of things. I should have insisted on speaking to someone but I wanted to trust the process. When I received the quote, I knew it was way off. I reached out to my mechanic (who also has Yelp reviews of 4.6+ as well) and asked if it sounded strange. He said he could beat it by $400, and probably more. I picked up my car (which still cost me a $125 diagnostic service fee) and took it to my other mechanic who did the work for $800 less. I'm sure The Hub stands by their work and their quote, but that is just so, so far off and a bit toned def to this customer's needs. All your receptionist had to do was listen to me and consider my request, but instead, you lost a potential new customer from the CY neighborhood. I hate that because I want to support local joints. From what other reviews say, this is a highly reputable place to take your vehicles -- so I can't argue its quality. I can only warn the consumer of its seemingly astronomical, pricey quotes.

When I arrived at my appointment time I handed my keys to the so called manager of the place also the same guy i spoke with on the phone beforehand and didn't get my truck in a bay for hour and half after my scheduled time. Once they got it in they looked over all 4 rotors and pads and ended up saying the front 2 rotors and pads are not good and (in their professional opinion) said the front caliper was stuck on the rotor and gave me a new quote to replace rotors, pads, and caliper and brake lines for a grand total of over $2,000 lol. I told them to put the tires back on the truck I will not pay for that. Went to autozone and got rotors and pads for the front and did it myself in the driveway and no issues whatsoever with the calipers or brake lines. These people that work here are scam artists and highly recommend taking your hard earned money somewhere elsewhere and have zero knowledge of how to properly inspect or work on vehicles. P.s - when they put my tires back on they tighten the lug nuts so tight i couldn't get them off with a ratchet with a 6ft breaker bar jumping on it just because I didn't go with there suggested service.
