Once my car was on the rack he showed me what was wrong and offered more than one solution. He was trying to get me the best deal, not necessarily the best deal for them. In the end that will bring him return customers (me) for future fixes. He offered two prices, one was more if using a card. I appreciate that option as well. I will definitely pick this place if I have muffler/exhaust needs in the future

Price for tires and installation very satisfactory. We needed to have it done quickly because we had tickets to the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville for that evening. John explained that the tire delivery would be in the early afternoon. He sensed that we were anxious. He got into his car and went over and picked up the tires. He ordered the car to be put on the rack and prepared. He was back in 15 minutes, and the tires were installed immediately. We were on our way in less than two hours. Excellent. Was referred to McKeel's Auto Service here in Memphis at 862 Bartlett Rd. Called to get a quote for a new Starter, $380 also $23.90 for gasket. While it was there I ask the price for an oil change? 8 quarts $64.90 and filter$9.50. I O.K.'d the job and was called and it was ready the same day. Went to pick up the car and was given a bill of $827.50 Paid and drove home. Wife got in the car to go to work the next morning and come to find out the control panel, which is on the driver's side door didn't work. When I called them to ask what was wrong and was told they had to undo a lot of stuff to put the new starter in.(evidently they left something undone.?) and was told it would have to be taken to the Dealer. Now the car is a "Safety Hazard" as the windows and door locks don't work from the drivers side. I only have a 2 year college education but my figures ($478.30) don't come close to what I was charged. Everything worked before it went in, now there is this new problem. I know labor had to be added but don't think it should be so extreme. As for a referral, I wouldn't have these 2 old men repair a Bicycle. AM I right or wrong ?

We called back after discussing the price change and they changed the story. Saying "oh he wrote the labor too high by accident . It will actually be $510" because they also replaced the intake valve and an ignition coil without confirming with us if that was okay. When we decided to not argue the $510 and just go get the car, they changed it to $594 once we were there. They were unable to explain why they did so much without confirming if we wanted the extra work done. We are not rich and I don't know a lot about cars and so I couldn't really argue. But just calling to tell us what was going on before doing it and charging us after the fact would have gone a long way. I won't say they scammed us because they did fix the issue with my car but it was absolutely shady and I would recommend them no one. They are taking advantage of people. I would have accepted a variation in price due to parts being more expensive than they thought. But they should have communicated with us when they did more than we agreed to. Also the ignition coil had nothing to do with the knock sensor so they shouldn't have replaced it without permission. So disappointed.

I can't let this go by without posting reviews every where I can. I'm shouting from the roof top how great they are. The entire staff is very attentive and keeps you aware of what's going on with your repair. Paulita, Chris, Michael, I am trying to make up for failing to post a review the first time. Please forgive me. The first repair was after my neighbor's child damaged my door with tree loppers (just a few months after I bought my car brand new ). While it was there, they also fixed damage from a tree that had fallen on the hood. I did my research first, and the reviews were great--one reviewer said they'd gone to Memphis Collision every few years for different things and were never disappointed. That stuck with me, and now I feel exactly the same way! They did such an incredible job the first time that I knew exactly where to go when I needed repairs again. This time, a lady hit my car while it was parked at the grocery store. The impact messed up the rear fender near my side cameras, bent my tire rim, and made my back door not close flush--I was heartbroken. But once again, Memphis Collision of Cordova worked their magic. My car looks absolutely brand new again! The quality, attention to detail, and professionalism are second to none. These guys will always be my go-to for repairs done right. Oh, and they detailed my car before returning to me. It LOOKS & SMELLS just like a brand new car. You guys ROCK!!! PS- I didn't have to pay anything, the lady's insurance covered the damages.

I believe they…read moreget bonuses for every service they sell or upgrade or a product they sell you because he kept telling me there were things wrong with my car and that they could fix it, and I went from getting headlights on the front of my car to having to have new tires and haven't having an alignment on my car. I was livid when I got home and called the company that did the previous alignment on my car two months earlier and gave me a new tire and they charged me $24 for the alignment. They showed me video proof of that the guy did my alignment on my car. They also showed me their report that I guess is electronic and it shows you where the car line was and where it's at now and there is nothing wrong with my car. I just assumed that this man was right I need an alignment it could cost me to go have an accident and I went forward but the only problem was he charged me $189 for something that was actually $24. So yeah, don't go over there. I'm not saying all of the stores are the same, but don't go to that one not on Germantown Parkway in Cordova.
