We always bring our cars to Performance Tire on Bartlett Rd. They are honest and always do a good job. They have never tried to sell us on extra work to be done. It is best to have an appointment since they can be very busy. The location is not convenient for us but their honesty is worth the drive. read more

Performance Tire was recommended by my mechanic (Brian Massey) as a good choice for tires. I've bought from independents, factory stores (i.e Firestone, Goodyear) and chains (Sams, Costco, NTB, Tire Mart). If I have to buy tires I REALLY like buying from Performance. I've now bought tires for two different vehicles and stopped in for rotations, balances, and "...something doesn't feel right" visits. My resounding 5 Star Rating (which I VERY RARELY give) is for a few different reasons. 1.) The advice is always founded upon reasonable and logical decision making born of experience. It seems every time I did business with chains and factory stores I sensed that the diagnosis and advice was influenced on a need to hit corporate revenue goals. No matter who I spoke with at Performance (Syd the Owner, Sam his son, or the guys in the shop - sorry don't know their names), the diagnosis and advice was as straight as you'd get from your best friend. It's more than simple honesty or integrity; it's...just the way you want to be dealt with. 2.) I shopped PT's prices both times I was buying new. The prices were always competitive. Though I'd possibly pay an extra $40 to $100 versus chains and factory stores due to my positive experiences, it would rub against my thrifty (cheap-skate) instincts. The first time I visited the price given to me was about $40 or $50 more than the same 4 tires at Sam's. I asked Sam, "...convince me why I should buy here." I don't remember exactly what he said, though I'm sure it included "free rotation/balance and other stuff", but what sealed the deal in my mind essentially, "we'll take care of you if there's a problem". 3.) To my pleasant surprise they can get what ever tire I've asked for at a good price and (so far) the same day. Because I'm not stuck on one brand and research CR, Car & Driver, Tire Rack and other sites, I usually desire only one or two tires over all other choices. Even though in both of my cases PT didn't have my preferred tire 'in house', they confirmed the positives/negatives about my selection and were able to get it at a price comparable to others. My only complaint with Performance Tire is they close too early on Saturday (noon) and are closed Sundays; the two days when I've needed emergency service. read more

I wanted an allignment on my Z71. The allignment guy said he couldn't perform one due to a problem that a mechanic should fix first. The front desk guy refused to tell me what was wrong but said for $69.00 their mechanic could assess the problem and the $69.00 would go toward the repair. It took less than one minute to say there was a problem but for $69.00 to tell what the problem is?? Another shop lifted my truck up and inspected every front end component. Needless to say, there absolutely NOTHING wrong that prevent a computerized front end allignment... read more

Family owned and operated. They give you that special touch and have always provided quick service and competive pricing. Their tires come with free regular rotation and balancing for the life of the tires. They are not fancy but honest and provide quality work. I've been going there for almost 20 years and will be back soon for more tires. read more

Wonderful experience. I went in needing a new tire put on a rim. They quoted me a long wait time as they are popular and busy. They had me serviced and paid in 20 minutes. Easy peasy. Friendly. Fast. Affordable. I have a knack for getting flat tires so I'll probably be back. read more

Sam Kelly and their family know tires. I've been dealing with them for many many years. They've always going out of their way to take care of our family. I never think of buying tires anywhere else. It's one of the few places like it where I can send my wife without fear of her being overcharged. The coffee in the waiting room is particularly not impressive but the nice personality is in the quality service will keep me coming back. So bring your own coffee and you'll be just fine read more

It's a local business, and I love supporting our town. These guys are phenomenal, and they take care of you. I had my tires serviced here and when I had a flat, they got me in and out within 30 minutes! Stop by because their service is impeccable! read more

My family has been coming here for years and it is a great place for oil changes, tire purchase and basic tire services. If you need a place where you can send your wife (or anyone not filiar with car mechanics) and trust you will be charged a fair price for quality service I highly recommend Performance Tire. read more

Performance Tire and Service - Good family owned tire shop that although limited on services they are excellent at what they do. Highly recommended. - Tires Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

I went to Performance Tire after being a Firestone customer for 3 years. I only needed a patch for an old tire, which is why I'm keeping my rating at a conservative 4 stars. I will definitely return the next time I have a bigger need and alter my rating accordingly. However my experience today at Performance was VERY encouraging! They were understanding to my situation and my needs. They didn't pressure me to do more than was needed and were 100% respectful. I will definitely be back. read more

While traveling across country on our way back to Virginia we had our tire blow out. I found these guys through a Google search and I was not disappointed. The customer service is out of this world; friendly and helpful. They had my minivan in the shop within 5 minutes. Within 30 minutes they were able to patch it and our family vacation was back in action. I am very thankful to have found such a great tire shop. I highly recommend regardless of the circumstances to use this place. read more

While driving across the country I developed a slow leak in one tire and some damage to another. The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful, even helping with something not car related. If Memphis wasn't so far from home I would definitely be back here next time I needed tires. read more

Awesome place! Traveling through from California and hit something that punctured our tire. Searched on the map and found this place not too far from us. Excellent customer service abs very quick service. read more

I needed a used car inspection, and they worked me on with no notice. Two hours later, I was out the door, armed with the information I needed to help negotiate the purchase of the car. The service was reasonably priced, thorough and clear, and the customer service was outstanding. I highly recommend them! read more

The guys at Performance Tire were exceptional. I was passing through Memphis on a road trip when I noticed a screw in my tire. I found their positive reviews on Yelp and called to check on prices. Sam answered and was professional and genuine, giving me prices and estimated wait time. I dropped my Range Rover off at their shop, and Ralph even gave me a ride to the gym (and picked me up!) while the car was being serviced. I got it back in an hour as promised, tire patched and ready for the road. I drove to New Orleans that same day, and 3,000 miles later the car is running perfectly, tire and all. I highly recommend these guys, they're the real deal. read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. DO NOT GO HERE EVER! First, the old man that runs the place needs to retire. He is forgetful and rude. He left the keys in the front seat of my husbands UNLOCKED CAR and of course it was stolen off the lot. Then, when we came to pick the car up, he insinuated that we were trying to skip out on our bill. He didn't even notice that our car was STOLEN OFF HIS LOT. He still made us pay for it. Do NOT go to this awful business if you ever want to see your car again. read more

This tire shop is how tire salesmen got their name. These guys are sleezy. But come off like a "wholesome family business". They sure got me ive now found out. Excuse me if this gets confusing at parts..... I challenge anyone to call on multiple occasions and talk to multiple sales guys, pretending to be a new customer, but get a price on the same set of tires. You will get different prices each time. First time this happened a few years ago i thought was a fluke and wrote it off- but now- No- these guys are robbers. And they sit and type on their calculators as they give u a price. Always typing and then correcting and retyping- seemingly because they come up with prices they see as low. I did business with this place on about 4 sets of very expensive a/t tires (nitto/bfg) over the years, with sam who left. He left the "family business"???? Who knows how much he got me for. He was always very convincing he was giving a good deal. Cash equaled no taxes. Etc. So recently, last week, I go into the store and get a price on tires and its one of the owners but not the dad. A bald headed yet young looking guy named nick. I call back with questions a few minutes after i leave, but another guy answers the phone and just INSISTS on helping me. So i let him give me a price. His price was over $300 cheaper than the first price. Same exact tires and service. He assures me he can sell them for that and is looking at his computer. He tells me he will have the first guy call me back though. When the initial guy calls back, he goes on to say he can't do the price the second guy told me. And can give me no reason how the price was different after i asked 2-3 times. Good news- i got the same tires for $500 cheaper than their price on EBAY!! New. Same Warranty. Free shipping. No difference. Dont let them fool you by showing you the screen either. A simple google search shows "the price they get it for" is complete garbage. And also had a complete blowout moments after leaving their shop for a simple 5 min tire rotation in 2011. When i returned they didnt wanna hear anything and were also rude. Coincedence? You decide. read more

Had to get 2 new tires and glad I came here. Got exactly what I needed and reasonably priced. These guys have great attitudes. Everyone I dealt with was very nice. Definitely recommended! read more

I am loyal to local businesses that treat me fairly and really understand what customer service means. Bradley has the personality that will ease a customer's doubts about wondering if they are getting a good deal and will be treated with respect. Friendly, caring and great prices. I got a quote that included everything including tax. No surprises, no additional fees, just great friendly service. Buy your next tires here and find out for yourself. read more

My grandmother trusts this place, specifically one person in management, greatly. What she doesn't realize, however, the rest of the family does. I brought my car in to get my headlights fixed and they "fixed" all kinds of random things- but not the headlights (leading me to unknowingly get in my car at 9pm one night and have the headlights burn out ten minutes into the ride, hence leaving me with no lights whatsoever to get home with)- and charged my grandmother over $400 for the "repairs" they did. Every time she goes there this place severely overcharges her and takes advantage of her. I can't imagine the kind of place that would take advantage of someone old, but I suppose that's just the level of integrity this establish holds. read more

Go above & beyond on service. Good christian owned establishment. Tire prices are always the lowest. Service department with Ron is always honest & trustworthy. Always first place take all my vehicles. read more

Nick and Bradley very Friendly. Work completed swiftly and too my satisfaction. I would definitely recommend this Business.

I ended up at performance tire because that is the shop service king uses for repairs. Now I'm going to start with all the good and I want to make it clear I am by no means telling you not to go. The guys are great they are very nice and honest. I personally trust them, they never speak down to a customer or blow a customer off. Now why they have 4 instead of 5 stars. Outside of tries and very basic maintenance I wouldn't use them. They managed to miss a huge power steering leak, my control arms are bad, ball joint on the driver and sway link bar is cracked. My truck was in a head on collision that's normally things that should be checked and yet they have been missed on 3 occasions. After the third time and the truck still pulling I finally took it somewhere else who found all this damage from the accident that hadn't been addressed. Now since they use performance tire as their shop and they missed the repairs guess who is paying out of pocket. The driver side tire was damaged and had to be replaced as well as the radiator and other major parts. Why they would not check the tire assembly and steering is beyond me. But for a simple oil change and tires yes. You can trust them and they are fair but, leave the big stuff to the other guys. read more

After being told at the Honda Dealership that they would not contact Michelin to get a rebate on the tires on my Pilot that had worn out prematurely, they actually directed me to Performance Tires and I couldn't be happier! I got 4 H rated tires (better than I previously had) for a price much better than quoted elsewhere. Nick was extremely helpful and I plan to be a customer for a long time. read more
