This business needs to be responsive for their ads. At a minimum, put up an autoresponder if you don't have someone to respond promptly to potantial customers. As I have looked over some of the reviews, thos company os never at fault and always seems to have a retort to consumers who are expressing their dissatisfaction. I booked an appointment through the website. The appointment time came and went with no one showing up. I tried to get a response from the text chain that was initiated when I booked the appointment, called 2 different phone numbers I could find online and emailed as well. No response. Then 3 hours later they get back to me and I asked that they still come. The issue with my car was concerning back brake lights that would not turn off and were draining the battery. The mechanic inspected and diagnosed that I needed my brake light switch replaced (also back brake light bulbs were burned out). He quoted me $420-$460 to fix it (that price included the $140 inspection and fuel surcharge fee). That sounded crazy to me so I just paid the $140 base fee said forget it, don't do the repair. I did some research on YouTube and checked out the situation myself, and it turned out to be just the rubber bumper piece that depresses the switch that had rotted and I was able to replace it with a bolt and washer I had on-hand for free. And anyway, if it had been a bad switch, that part only costs $10-$20. I'm pissed that the guy was going to over-charge me and I can't help but think it was because I'm a woman. read more

If I could give more stars I would!! These guys are on point know exactly what they're doing and super friendly. My car wouldn't turn over and within 5 mins they were able to diagnose. The message on my GMC pickup came up to change the fuel filter. I contacted Strait 2U Mobile Auto Repair via Yelp message. They answered my plea expeditiously. The closest appointment he had was for Wednesday and this contact was made Sunday night. He called Monday afternoon and said he could come out in 30 minutes. Two men showed up and took care of my problem. Great guys and I highly recommend them to do your auto mechanic work. read more

I had this repair service come by for a another repair and initially was okay with the end result. But a few days later the original problem returned and I sent an email on April 20 outlining the issue, but I never got a reply. I spent $110 to have them basically get nothing done, and then don't bother to reply to an email about the problem. Suffice to say I won't be using them again. read more

To be honest, I could not be more happy. My alternator went out last night. I spoke to them at 9 o'clock this morning. I went and got the part by 10. They were at my door by 10:30. I would not recommend Strait 2 U Auto Service based on my recent experience. Despite initially being quoted a price and a service window, there were several issues that arose throughout the process. The service window was changed without notice, and the mechanics arrived four hours late the first day and two hours late the second day. Additionally, they did not have the necessary parts for the job on the first or second day, resulting in further delays and unprofessional behavior. The manager, Jarvis, was dismissive and rude when confronted about the issues. Ultimately, the service call was terminated prematurely by manager Jarvis, leaving the job incomplete. Upon further inspection after my service was terminated, it was discovered that multiple parts had been removed unnecessarily for the required repair. Those parts were removed at an attempt to remove a broken bolt that was lodged in a hole done by the junior mechanic Justin. Strait 2 U Auto Service knowingly damaged my vehicle and terminated my service quickly to remove themselves. Despite attempts to rectify the situation and paying Justin for the parts he purchased (overcharged me) that were not replaced, the company has failed to take responsibility for their actions. This experience has left me highly disappointed and frustrated with the lack of professionalism and integrity displayed by Strait 2 U Auto Service. I am highly disappointed in how this black-owned company knowingly damaged my truck and refuses to accept responsibility for their actions. Count your days, Strait 2 U Auto Service. You cannot treat people this way and prosper. I advise Carlos (senior mechanic) to start his own business because there will always be a dark cloud over a business that lacks professionalism and integrity. I can only tell you this was one of the worst jobs I have ever seen done. they were hired to install headers and finish up everything under the car and hood associated. They got the headers in, but missed half the bolts into the head, did not hook up the transmission shifter linkage, nor the transmission cooler line to the radiator. left the starter power wire dangling under the car, left the hoist chains bolted to the engine block and intake manifold, left the air cleaner laying on the ground. These guys showed up in a 90's something Tahoe, smoking down the road, they have no business doing this type work, no formal training, just some young guys thinking they are mechanics. read more

He also provided us with all of the options that could be taken care of first to eliminate the repair from being so costly. He was very thorough and professional. These guys are the best! I was traveling from CA to VA and passing thru Memphis. My Air Conditioning went out in Arkansas, in the middle of July! I called Strait 2 U and they were on it. Horrible service. I called this company to fix a problem with my engine and was given the run around and overall taken advantage of. I trusted this company to fix a problem with my engine overheating to no avail and the exact same problem with my vehicle. Instead of doing a full diagnostic test on my vehicle this mechanic decided to fix the first and easiest problem with the car. Even after i gave the company a chance to rectify the situation i was treated poorly when explaining my problems to them. Unfortunately i am out of more money than i had to be because of this companys laziness and/or lack of knowledge on cars. Also had several no show appointments with no apology to me when they did eventually come out. As a black woman i trusted this black owned business to take care of me and a service i had no problem paying for, but in return received nothing but below average service. I had always driven through a car wash, but finally faced the reality that Mr. Pride did a lousy job. I found Strait 2 U Auto through Yelp, and decided to give them a try. They came to my house and made my 11 year old car look shiny and newish. As you might guess of someone with an 11 year old car, I am not used to paying $35 for a car wash, but I am now a convert. Jarvis told me some of what they were doing, including using special concoctions to remove bugs and tree sap. They knew what they were doing and since a crepe myrtle hangs over my driveway, this attention was needed. Jarvis is also a personable guy who had his son working with him. Last but not least, he won me over by giving good customer service: they were late due to an early morning emergency call, and he made that right by comping me $10 off the service. I was getting the old car washed in order to trade it in, and now I plan to use Strait 2 U Auto regularly on my new car. I wish Jarvis luck and would recommend his service to anyone. read more
