I came in looking for a convenient, quick change on my brakes. I knew that was the problem. I also knew the car I was bringing was an older "clunker" that I did not want to invest much into for repairs. Upon arrival, I attempted to explain this to the receptionist. She didn't even make contact with me, but instead just told me that the mechanic would take care of things. I should have insisted on speaking to someone but I wanted to trust the process. When I received the quote, I knew it was way off. I reached out to my mechanic (who also has Yelp reviews of 4.6+ as well) and asked if it sounded strange. He said he could beat it by $400, and probably more. I picked up my car (which still cost me a $125 diagnostic service fee) and took it to my other mechanic who did the work for $800 less. I'm sure The Hub stands by their work and their quote, but that is just so, so far off and a bit toned def to this customer's needs. All your receptionist had to do was listen to me and consider my request, but instead, you lost a potential new customer from the CY neighborhood. I hate that because I want to support local joints. From what other reviews say, this is a highly reputable place to take your vehicles -- so I can't argue its quality. I can only warn the consumer of its seemingly astronomical, pricey quotes.

In fact, he's pretty incompetent. Too many times he misdiagnosed problems with my car (always at my expense) then aggressively pressured to have unneeded issues fixed sooner than later. I tried to get a response from the text chain that was initiated when I booked the appointment, called 2 different phone numbers I could find online and emailed as well. No response. Then 3 hours later they get back to me and I asked that they still come. The issue with my car was concerning back brake lights that would not turn off and were draining the battery. The mechanic inspected and diagnosed that I needed my brake light switch replaced (also back brake light bulbs were burned out). He quoted me $420-$460 to fix it (that price included the $140 inspection and fuel surcharge fee). That sounded crazy to me so I just paid the $140 base fee said forget it, don't do the repair. I did some research on YouTube and checked out the situation myself, and it turned out to be just the rubber bumper piece that depresses the switch that had rotted and I was able to replace it with a bolt and washer I had on-hand for free. And anyway, if it had been a bad switch, that part only costs $10-$20. I'm pissed that the guy was going to over-charge me and I can't help but think it was because I'm a woman.

The owner, Mr. Livingston, informed me that my car needed several maintenance repairs, including parts that had already been replaced recently. When they replaced my fuel injectors, I was told the work was complete. However, after driving, I noticed gasoline leaking from under the hood and smelled it inside the cabin through the air vents. When I returned the vehicle to the shop to address the issue, I was told it was just "over spill," and they refused to fix the problem. I then took my vehicle to Mercedes-Benz of Memphis, where professionals confirmed that the work done at Euro Imports was poorly executed and not done by a knowledgeable mechanic. The repairs were unprofessional and potentially dangerous. Had I read the reviews prior to bringing my vehicle in, I never would have given them the opportunity. Also, if you try to raise concerns, they will reply through an unknowledgeable person who clearly has no real understanding of auto repairs. This is just a tactic to make it look like they stand behind their work--when in reality, they do not. Please note: The 5-star reviews online are fake and made up in an attempt to attract new customers. Don't be fooled--read the real customer experiences before trusting them with your vehicle. I strongly advise against taking your luxury vehicle to Euro Imports of Memphis. They do not honor their work, and the mechanics lack the expertise to properly service high-end vehicles. Please read other customer comments as further proof of the shop's poor management and service quality.

I really would give a little higher rating, but it would only be for the repair work and that's all. I've been a faithful customer for many years. I was referred to Thong's and instructed to only negotiate with Thong himself and never with his wife. So, I would get an outside diagnosis of my vehicles before taking them to Thong's. I would then call Thong and he would give me a price for the labor only, and I would then pick up the parts myself. I would save money because a lot of repair shops add a mark-up or additional profit, when they furnish or buy the parts for you. Also, the labor cost negotiated with Thong was already cheaper than most places in town. Like a lot of other customer reviews, I've read, people including me, have just put up with Mrs. Thong, because the price and work was very good. However, it wears you down after a while and you just get tired of dealing with this lady. She is rude, she tries to charge more than you negotiated with Thong himself, she will try to argue with you at times, she believes she's smarter that most, and never wrong about anything. So, I've finally decided to pay a little more and take my business elsewhere. Thong should really deal with his wife and send her home and get someone else to run the office. I'm quite sure he is beginning to lose business and it will show in time, if it hasn't already affected their business. Unless of course, she's really the boss and doesn't care about business growth. I will never refer anyone to Thong's again, as I have in the past. Mrs. Thong is "BAD" for Business. Mr. A. C. . . ("A Customer Whose Had Enough")
