I contacted Town and Country Locksmith to open a safe that had malfunctioned. They asked me to send my information to their technician via text. I sent a description of the issue along with pictures and received a text back stating "received" on Wednesday at 1225. That was the last I heard from them. It's currently Saturday at 1100. This is the second time that I've used T&C Locksmith. They are good folks, they always have someone in the shop during business hours (unlike some other locksmith shops), and their prices are excellent. Plus, they guarantee their work. I ran a mobile locksmith business before I sold it and moved to Memphis to practice law. I know the industry. Lots of locksmith companies are fly by night affairs that do mediocre work and take advantage of people in a bad situation. These folks are the opposite. They run an honest business and charge very fair prices. For example, I walked in today to get a key cut for an ATV that I bought at auction that didn't come with a key. Being a former locksmith, I knew that the key code would be printed on the ATV's ignition. So I got the code, looked up the cuts and went to T&C hoping that they had the correct blank. They had it. They cut me two keys for $15. My local locksmith in Southaven wanted $35 for a single key. Another smith on Summers wanted $65!!! Outrageous. In sum, do business with these folks. We bought a BIG safe. When we were in the store the guy assured us that the safe would be secured to the wall because the door was so heavy the safe would tip over. I paid $200 for delivery and installation. He did not "install" the safe. When I called him, first he said "only safe put on carpet were ever secured." Then he said that he "never attaches safes to walls b/c they can't find the studs." He also said he "never" told me the safe would be secure. Don't trust the guy. My husband will secure the safe. Luckily I have a brilliant husband who can do the work. I would not purchase from this guy again. Beware. The safe might be great, but the guy who sold it to us is not truthful. read more
