Came here Friday morning and they only had 2 guys working with 3 cars already in the bays and 2 other cars and myself there . [[HIGHLIGHT]]The guy comes to me and says they are short staffed and only them 2 working and said it's going to be about 45 minutes....I decided to wait I had nowhere to really be[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I finally get into the bay and I'm still waiting and I don't understand why the 2 guys just don't work on just 1 car at a time I'm watching these guys literally just bouncing back and forth like chickens with their heads cut off and hardly any communication going on between the 2 of them all while another 3 cars show up just ridiculous I got here about 10:15 am already passed the 45 minute mark then the manager I guess just telling everyone come back later when there's more help and literally sitting in the bays waiting it's hot I'm cooking in my own car no airflow in there whatsoever I usually go to the one in Ahwatukee area and I'm in n out probably won't come back to this location these guys don't seem to know what they are really doing 2 stars because they guy gave me a water and said thanks for waiting and being patient with them read more

I have been curious about this business and decided to stop as I was running errands nearby. I was one of two cars there. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a young man who clearly was upset that I was there. The entire time he is asking me in this monotone voice what do I need, while waving this water bottle around. I then get an "oh do you want THIS water bottle?" The oil change took as long as it would anywhere else, all three employees work on one vehicle at a time. What I noticed: they were changing out the filter from the top and having issues? I thought that was done under the carriage? The young man couldn't seem to figure out how to put the oil filter on and struggled a bit. At the end the manager I assumed (had a different color jacket than the guys in shirts) says "please check for engine lights or error lights please. I would have to agree with another Yelper when they said this is truly the fast food of oil changes. Remember this: there's always a coupon online. Had I paid full price for what "service" I was given, I'd rate this a 1 like most others. Takeaways: customer service is lacking beyond, you fix that you have a successful business. There's no reinvention to the oil change. It's a gimmick, if you want a trusted oil change without walking away uneasy, go elsewhere. The price and wait time is the same if not higher. read more

Attendant only washed 1/2 windshield. New oil was not measured when added to engine. After starting engine to check for leaks, attendant pulled dipstick out to show me new oil level without wiping it off, reinserting it and getting a clean oil level showing on the dipstick. I wish I could give negative stars, this is the worst business I have EVER been to. This place is located in Az where it's not uncommon to be over 110 degrees every day, today it's 106. They have you pull into a hot garage and MAKE you sit in your car during the service w the car turned off, I had a dinner w friends and popped in real quick , I was literally dripping seat while waiting in the car after asking if I could get out. The snarky employee told me I had to stay in the car and that a sign said I had to stay in the car . I asked if I could wait off the property and get out of the car and he said No He clearly can't think outside the box realizing it's 106 , I didn't have fans or open air like them. For those wanting the quick version of the review: They are unprofessional Not mechanics It's fast food automotive care and you'll regret it and possibly ruin your car. For everyone else: This was by far the worst experience I've had with any auto care business. Not only could they NOT change my oil, but they had one employee, Luni, that wouldn't get off her phone. She was talking to a boy or girlfriend and making kissy face at her phone. Yes, they were video chatting. She even kept the conversation going while she was checking the cabin air filter in my car. These aren't professionals. They know nothing about cars. They are not mechanics. They know how to push buttons on their computer, upsell garbage services, and then disappoint customers. $75 -$101 oil changes. I actually drove off after telling them not to "try something" to remove the oil plug. They couldn't get it open. I didn't trust them to touch the car at this point. I went there in hopes of saving time as it's the holiday weekend and I had to go out of town suddenly. My mistake. Go to a real mechanic. Someone who cares and wants your business. 2 days after getting our oil changed at Take 5 the engine began knocking and by the time we got to a maintenance shop (2miles) the engine completely locked up. I tried to contact Take 5 corporate and only got a recording. I left a message and three days later I got an email from the manager of the location. He asked for more information which I provided. 5 days later I still had not even received a confirmation that he received my email with the info not to mention NO communication stating what the next step is. At this point we have been without a car and have had no further communication. Take your car to a REAL shop for oil changes and not a place like this. My car has now been inoperable for 1.5weeks and I have received ZERO information from this company as to what I should do. I am going to contact our attorney to get some real help. I normally go to my dealer ship for my oil change because I have a service package but in a pinch during an unplanned trip I needed my oil change. It's convenient that they're open till 8 PM because people like me get off at 7:30 can run over real quick and get in, I expected them to be way more pricier because it is a convenient place to get an oil change done quicker but it's no different than going to a Jiffy Lube or anything else. They were all so kind. They topped off my coolant and they cleaned my windshield cleaner than any car wash I've ever had. I don't recommend going in the middle of the day because it's super hot, and they do have you sitting in your car with the car off because obviously they're changing your oil. It was overall a wonderful experience and made my life easier. read more

Oil change done wrong. Lost all the oil out of our car and possibly resulted in long term damage to the car. Destroyed our garage mats. The check engine light came on with a code that an oil change was needed the day after we had the oil change. We went back into the shop to resolve the issue. The manager/shift lead we spoke to smelled of weed and was definitely high. He acknowledged the mistake (which I appreciate). They redid the oil change. They even offered to replace our garage mats. We provided them with the link and description; he promised they would be replaced. We asked for something in writing regarding the acknowledgement of fault and an agreement re: the mats and he refused. I've called back 10+ times and no answer. Not recommended. My wife's car needed an oil change so I stopped by the Market Street location in Gilbert. It was a new business in the area and I thought I'd give it a try. The recap on that particular visit is: It took way too long, it was expensive and the upsell attempts were over the top. The one positive was the young lady that was the primary contact, very nice and respectful. Driving away, my wife and I both said "we're never going to that place again". Now the "visit" that really prompted this review. I needed another oil change on the same vehicle and drove by Walmart (I know, not the best place), but there were already 5 cars in line, which at Walmart means about a 3 hour wait. So I decided to head to Valvoline. On the drive past Take 5, I noticed that there was only 1 vehicle being serviced and no one in line. Against my better judgement I thought I'd give them another shot. I pull up to the cone blocking one of the open bays and I see an Audi being serviced and at least 2 techs working on that vehicle. So far so good. So I wait for them to come out and chat with me...and I wait....and I wait. I kept thinking "now I remember why I was never coming here again". No less than 10 minutes passes and I was about to bail and one of the guys comes out. He greets me, then guides me into the open bay and I wait. And wait...at this point I realize they don't know how many quarts of oil an Audi takes. The lady must have been there 20-30 minutes that I aware of. So I wait and wait.....no one has acknowledged me since they guided me in. At least 15 more minutes goes by (I know I'm the idiot at this point). I finally had enough, I start my car and pull away, they didn't even look up from what they were doing. I drove over to Valvoline waited for an open bay and was outta there within 25 minutes of pulling in their driveway. So fool me once....etc. never again. read more

Seriously might be the single worst oil change I've ever had in 20+ years of owning cars. First off, it was horribly slow. Painfully so when it's 100 degrees outside. It took well over 30 minutes once they started on my car, and that was after waiting about 30 for my turn. They had one team of 5 people all working on each car as a group, only one car being worked at a time out of the 3 bays. I have serious questions about their experience and knowledge given what I saw. They were all very young, I would seriously doubt they are certified in any way. They seemed not to be confident in anything they were doing. It took 4 of them to check the oil level repeatedly (like over and over) to decide if it was good. Apparently they had a hard time emptying the oil tank and had to force evacuate it, yet then only managed to get 4 quarts of oil into my 5 quart oil tank. When I questioned that he said that they never really get all of the oil out. Ok but that means they left an entire quart of what was very very dirty oil, to be mixed with the fresh new oil. That just cut the lifespan of this oil change by a substantial chunk. And with the cost of euro oil that's not cool. When I went to check out the cost was $129. Seriously?? My mechanic who I usually go to for oil changes charges less and does a full inspection and tire rotation! (I was in a pinch on time and unfortunately could not get it in to them prior to a last minute road trip). Luckily I had a coupon but that still didn't put much of a dent considering the service I received. I left feeling like I need to have my mechanic now check their work asap. This experience just solidified why I never use places like this. I absolutely do not recommend. read more

I agree with all of the rest of you with regard to zero stars (or negative stars). But, the people were nice and seemingly efficient. So one star it is. The issue that I have is all about what I call "secret" pricing. I thought that I would try out a new and local business. I expected to pay a REASONABLE amount for an oil change. Since there was a big sign out front that read "$20 off any oil change". Boy, was I surprised!!! There no pricing signs outside the building, only inside...below the window level of your car. The price categories are pointed out to you once the hood is up and they are beginning to work on your car. They range from ridiculous to insane! My vehicle is a Chevrolet Equinox, but the budget oil change priced out at 10 cents shy of $100! I am not driving a Porsche, and I am definitely not at a Porsche dealership.
