I pulled in and requested a price for service before I even pulled into garage. Tech said, oh sure, no coupon for that needed I'll just plug it in. When Grant brought me invoice he refused to honor price me and worker already agreed to. He took multiple times before he asked his colleague. He belittled his colleague and said, "he just cks in cars". He even asked, "if I have it in writing". Of course not. I said, I can't believe you're going this. The agreed price was $140 minus $10. He insisted on $145 and extorted the $15 by refusing to consult w colleague, refusing to give me store owners phone number where I finally threatened to call police for which I didn't and didn't want to trouble them. I asked Grant 1 last time, "why are you doing this" for which he said, $145. I finally called him a "f'n idiot" and he said, "now I'm not going to do anything". No idea what that was as he never offered anything other than full price (coolant). In my 45 years of having my cars serviced, I've never had the experience of "bait and switch", extortion, etc. If the 1st guy wouldn't have clearly agreed I'd probably have gladly paid the $145, but we agreed to $140-$10=$130 I've delayed posting this as I wanted to talk to owner and share even more details. Grant said, "he doesn't care about bad reviews" but that's not fair to owner as there's always a bad seed or an employee who requires retraining. I walked up there today to see if I am able to get a rental due to this kid screwing up my car. Then later tried blaming that the vehicle was already like that. Had to make a claim and this kid had the audacity to come up to me while I was getting some important documents out of my vehicle. He approached my car as if he was trying to pop my hood open to take pictures of my engine. The audacity and balls on this kid, no respect. Please beware of this person. First of all the 10 minute point is a lot of BS. So far I'm waiting 20 minutes for an oil change. I'm told once they start on you it's a 10 minute oil change but the car they're working on has been almost 20 minutes. For some reason it takes three technicians to work on one car. They only do one car at a time. I will never come back here again. They're standing around laughing and joking and not really paying attention to what they're doing. read more

Everyone was nice and friendly. Unfortunately the receipt's claims as what they did were not true. I get not wanting to clean the windshield, but the receipt shouldn't say it was cleaned, because it most definitely was NOT cleaned. The tires were not checked either. Makes me question everything else they said they did. Either update your receipts and remove tasks not completed, or actually do what the receipt says you did to avoid making customers feel ripped off. read more

My car was WAY overdue for an oil change so I randomly chose this place. I did not like that you sit in the car while they do the work, but that's their selling slogan. Robert told me what kind of oil I needed for my Nissan that just hit 100,000 miles and I pulled a 50% off coupon from the internet. Yay! I used that savings to get excellent new wiper blades. These people deserve zero stars. Moved into line behind one car in first lane. Two vehicles total ahead of me. 40 minutes I sat, with no communication with this staff. Finally, they put up the hood and drain the oil. Another employee asked me if if I wanted the same oil as last time. I said yes, and she said that would be $101.63 and was I paying cash or credit. When I said credit, I was immediately given the credit card device so I could pay even before they had gotten all the oil out of my car. I knew right then they were not going to offer me, windshield wipers, or any replacement filters. Inserted my card and made the payment and gave the machine back. Nobody checked the pressure in my tires. Nobody cleaned my windshield. All these other things that I've had at other Take 5 locations did not happen. Oil was put in, hood slammed shut, and the employee said I'd be getting a survey in my email. I would appreciate a good rating. For the first time in my life, I did not tip somebody providing service. I probably should have left after the first half hour. read more

On 5/22/24 at 3:40 PM Lincoln upsold me a coolant exchange after performing my oil change. I reluctantly said yes because I respect a worker going above and beyond to upsell. $330 later and I do not feel as though the value was great. I drove away and within 15 minutes my car was overheating. I made first contact with take 5 customer service at 4:32 pm less than an hour after my service BEGAN at 3:40 pm. Daisy told me to check under the hood to see if any pliers got left behind on the radiator hoses. There were on pliers and it was not safe to drive so I agreed to come back in the morning. When the car fully cooled down I went out to find no water in the reservoir and the radiator hose bone dry. Being an optimist, I was hoping Lincoln just did not fill it enough so I filled both the reservoir and the radiator with water before heading back to Take 5. I arrived at approximately 7:30 after the car overheated twice on the way back. I had stopped at 7 eleven on Ulmerton off of US 19 which is less than 6 miles from my house and filled the car again only to overheat 4 miles later. Lincoln admitted to pressurizing the system wrong and told me I would have to come back in the morning for the manager to fix it. Well Pacey could not fix it either and I ended up in Take 5's hellish claim process. I towed the car to a certified mechanic where it was confirmed that the system was pressurized wrong causing coolant to blow into the engine and blowing the head gasket. My oil closely resembles chocolate milk if you get what I'm putting down. Needless to say the repair is $3,800 the claim is denied and I am left without a car or any reimbursement for the damage. I will be suing but I do wish they would take accountability as they do not have the customer sign away liability before the services that are completed. It seems almost foolish to argue liability when the car was driven less than 20 miles after the service. My lawyer is having a field day. read more

Stay away! I went here for an oil change before heading out of town for the holiday weekend. While driving on the causeway at 55 mph an immediate loud sound like the bottom of my car falling out almost prompted an accident before I regained composure, slowed down (worriying about a rear end collision) and limped to the boat dock exit, a metal plate must not have been re-secured appropriately and dropped. I can't describe to sound of that Impact on pavement traveling at the speeds limit. The msn from take 5 drove out to provide assistance even tho I told him a tow truck was on the way and my vehicle would be returning to a Honda dealership for repair. I sent an itemized list of expenses incurred as a result of this oil change gone wrong (with documentation to. verify each expense) with no reimbursement for a ruined vacation to see my daughter. Store manager doesn't respond to my email so I emailed corporate (or regional office) and they responded quickly. Long / short the guy says sorry about this but all I'm going to approve (it's Corp policy) is reimbursement for the oil change and the dealership cost to repair the plate - period ! depending on store leadership it's possible one location is better than another but I would never return to this chain when - at a minimum - they wouldnt even reimburse my hourly rate for the time I needed to take off work when a check stub confirming rate and date and in / out times are well documented on dealership paperwork read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! Go to your local dealer to get an oil change!!!!! Antwan the manager of Take 5 with two other guys did a wrong oil change on my 2019 Buick Encore. Terrible job which resulted in them putting in the wrong oil cartridge (2) times, not putting the dip stick back in and overflowing of oil in the exhaust and engine. They tried to correct the problem by doing an additional oil change but with the wrong oil filter. The district manager was contacted and they were supposed to refund me the oil change. I had them tow my car to Buick as it was rolling in exhaust smoke over the car in a huge cloud. It smelled like fire. Buick dealer took care of talking to Antwan to get my car fixed. My car was in the shop for two days. Antwan went back n forth with the district manager for two days. Buick had to keep calling Antwan to get it paid for. But Antwan promised me that my credit card would be refunded the $65 for the oil change on 4/28. The repair was $450.00 to repair my car. Buick dealer finally got Antwan to talk to his district manager to get my car repaired and they paid the $450.00 with the promise to Buick and myself that Antwan would refund my $65.00 that day unto my credit card. Then when I went to the take 5 shop yesterday 5/1 to ask him where is my refund, Antwan pretended to know nothing of the refund and he called the police on me. Then he lied to the police that nothing happened to my car. I told the police that he was lying. I showed them the receipt from Buick that it was their fault for damaging my car. The exhaust pipe had to be all completely cleaned inside, including the engine and the oil filter changed to the manufacturer of Buick because take 5 doesn't have the same filter for my car and the engine got screwed up and the exhaust from not putting back the dip stick. So the police told me I had to take it to court. When I asked Antwan for the district manager's phone number he refused to give it to me. I am out of $65.00 plus damages to my new car that I lost 2 days of not having transportation that I had to use public transportation to do groceries. I had to go to a doctors appointment hour hours away that I couldn't miss and I had to reschedule for a later date because they didn't have sooner appointments. The inconvenience and the fact that my car smelled like it was in fire, Buick had to air it out and run the engine on the second day for hours to get the exhaust pipe cleaned out. Everything was going to be fine and I wasn't going to make a bad review until Antwan treated me so badly yesterday and embarrassed me by calling the police which I was not doing anything wrong. Antwan said he was told by the district manager to "gaslight" me to call the police and have me removed so their other customers wouldn't hear how they screwed up my car. Antwan decided to go back on his word of the refund of the oil change and "pretend" he was not at fault. Worst thing is he he embarrassed me and Gaslighted me! Ok, so to be clear, I have a lowered car. I'm not crazy low, maybe about an inch and a half? So go to this place based on yelp reviews, convenient location, and offers synthetic oil. I pull in, and the attendant immediately starts shaking his head no, but he continues to guide me in. I get over the pit and he says "we don't do these cars here" and asks me to back up. He was nice enough, but seemed strange that if I'm over the pit, he should be able to change my oil. I've been taking the same car to a different oil shop for years...they're much farther away, with no synthetic oil, but make tremendous accommodations to change my oil on a "modified" car over a pit. I'm perturbed that their website doesn't say anything about not being able to service lowered vehicles. read more

Oil changes are part of the service routine for my car. I take the car, wait my turn, the service tech changes the oil, I pay and leave, usually with a significant loss of time, but not today. I decided to try Take 5 since it was on my route of errands. I was guided into the open bay by Treco, the manager. He immediately gave me a cold bottle of water and started a pleasant conversation while showing me the menu. I told him my choice, he immediately changed the oil, opened the hood, checked the fluids, then showed me the perfectly clean oil on the dip stick. I paid him, he closed the hood, washed the windshield, shook my hand and guided me out of the bay and waved as I drove away. It was such a positive experience I texted my friend and some family to recommend their services. I'll go back when the mileage gets to my next marker. Great place, highly recommend it!! read more

I took my super-loud modified cop car here today for a quick oil change before a road trip tomorrow. They were very efficient and friendly and got her done quickly. They were pretty enthusiastic about my car, since it's got a ford racing motor, supercharger, intercooler, the works. Everyone stopped what they were doing to come check it out. Never going there again. They told me numerous times they could not check the transmission fluid since there was no port for it. Went to a different place and they told me that the service port for it is right next to the motor oil port. The fluid in my transmission was really dark! Then one of the service memebers tells me I still have about a 10-30 min wait! I'm a realtor. I drive A LOT. I literally spend over $100 an oil change every 2-3 months and have been using Take 5 because they're everywhere, convenient, quick and give veteran discounts. Not to include the extended small talk to several people, knowing there's a freaking line of cars waiting behind me as well. I'm a busy man and have things to do. This is now the second location I've had issues with and I'm contemplating ever going back. Needless to say, I was there for over 45 mins and was going to be late for my closing so I had to leave WITHOUT A DAMN OIL CHANGE. Guys this is BAD BUSINESS! You wasted almost an hour of my valuable time that I cannot get back! I went in on Sunday for an oil change. However, I was told they couldn't do it because my oil plug was "rounded" and they weren't able to get it out. They told me they would get a tool to remove it and I should come back the next day. However, this didn't sit right with me. Why was my oil plug rounded? I had taken my car here for the last few oil changes so only their staff had been handling the plug. I made an appointment with my dealership and just picked up my car. They told me that it looked like the sides of my oil plug had been sanded down it was so round and they needed to replace my oil pan because it was so stuck. To be clear, I am not saying this was intentionally done but regardless, I had to spend almost $100 for a new oil pan in a 4 year old car. I won't be returning because the convenience isn't worth the extra money to replace my oil pan again. read more
