I'm not sure what happened but it seemed like the male employee during the 2pm hour on 8/4 couldn't care less about being there. He made zero eye contact and the icing on the cake was when he handed me the sticker to put on the windshield myself. I also had a $15 coupon but at this point I wanted to get out of there. Their phone system totally sucks couldn't get through with pertinent questions before I drive down there.

I did get the economy oil change but they did not top off fluids. I knew I was critically low on transmission fluid and told them and said again when he was asking me to pull out to leave that they didn't add any fluid and he told me their fluid was old and could gunk up my car, lol. What? He had already cashed me out and told me it would be extra. He flat refused to add any. They also did not check my wipers which are sub-par or tire air pressure. The guy asked to use my driver's license to get my name, I said I would tell him and spelled it for him and it came out on the printed receipt completely illegible and all mixed up and he never asked address so name, address and phone # on receipt completely wrong. Was I supposed to get a windshield sticker? No sticker. I tried calling corporate and listened to piano music on hold for 13 minutes before hanging up. Called the store, exact same message and music. Hung up after a few minutes. I never had any issues with this store before but I guess it's time to find a new store. read more

They began by giving me a false price. We waited a half hour outside and another 15 inside. They put in the wrong weight oil for my vehicle. I also stated several times I wanted conventional oil, not synthetic. When I left I read my reciept. It was full synthetic oil. I went to my mechanic and he said they put the wrong weight oil in and it could ruin the engine and seals. I also notified the dealership and they confirmed. I called their corporate number and they said I had to go back to that location. I went back and talked to Fred, the manager. He said they could replace the oil with the correct oil and had no explanation. I had yo bring it back later that day because I didn't have another half hour to wait. When I brought it back Fred was not there. The two employees changed it to what they said was 10w30. They refused to change the filter. Then I had to request a new sticker! She said I had one, I needed one with correct oil printed on it! Two days later I cant trust what they did. Im taking it to the dealer and getting it redone. I will NEVER USE TAKE 5 again! read more

Robert, Derrius & Tristin took great care of my car! They explained everything, showed me what they were doing, worked very well together while staying happy and positive! They instantly offered me water to wait and kept engaging me telling me they'd be over soon! They gave me my options but didn't try to upsell me and take advantage. The air filter was disgusting and I could feel the difference when it was changed instantly of the air quality! Times are tight with the suckiest economy ever and highest inflation ever, so it was nice to have a trusted place to get my car taken care of that is close by! They even added air to my tires, since the light went on in my car! I'll be back next time with gatorades for these hard working gentlemen! I had my oil changed at this largo location and never again.. I brought my Audi S4 in and asked for the Mobil 1 5w 30 euro blend and they put 10w 40 in ignoring me on my choice and my cars required oil. Never checked any other fluids and I was charged for a premium service $226.00 and boy it was far from premium.. I went to the Audi dealership 3 days later and had it done right for less money.. no value or time savings here at all as I was there for well over 1 hour, they did not go under the car to check anything as they pumped the oil out.. so the checked the transmission fluid was bull.. it's checked under the car. Never reset the oil change computer tracker for oil.. See pictures below and these were taken the next day! I stopped by the Take 5 in Clearwater the other day. The service was quick and friendly, was there less than 20 minutes. The two gentleman helping me were friendly and informative. I haven't gotten an oil change in awhile (haven't had a car for a few years), but it did seem a bit pricey even with a coupon. Everything else was great. read more

Comments: We had our Kia Sportage oil changed 1/3/2023 and when I got home I looked under the car and saw that both access panels (filter/drain plug) were gone, ripped off with damage to the shield.. I called the shop and they claimed that they didn't know anything about it and said that they were not in the trash can.. When we were sitting in the car we heard a loud noise and the car shook, apparently the covers were ripped off. Also the oil was a quart overfilled. Take 5 claims no responsibility for the damage, and now Taylor Henshaw at corporate stopped responding to my emails even though I sent pictures of the damage and missing covers. Chris and Tristan were awesome! We needed an oil change and pulled right up. Everyone was incredibly friendly and greeted us (and our dogs!) right away. They gave us a few different oil options and let us stay in the car during the service. Communication through the whole process was excellent! They showed us the air filter without us asking and explained it was still very clean. They had great attitudes and went above and beyond to ensure we received great service. We've never had so much fun getting an oil change. The total for our SUV was $75 for 6.5 units of Magnatec oil, plus we got a voucher for a free car wash next door. Everyone was cool except the dude w long hair and glasses, first time coming here and my girlfriend has a Honda civic so I was taking her car to get an oil change real quick, and have never paid more than $80 for a full synthetic oil change and he said it would be $140 and i immediately said no and got the regular oil change, then he said he thinks i need new wind shield wipers ( i just replaced them maybe 3 months ago so i know i didn't need them) so i said no again, and in a sarcastic way he says "okay i understand you're low on cash right now" who tf says that to someone I was shocked. When I repeated it back to him he just stared at me for like 10 seconds so I said what are you looking at. 2 days ago I visited this largo location. In 40 years of driving I have never had a worst oil change. They where rude, overcharged, and lied about services needed. After telling the employee that I would never be back he did have the 5 minutes to wave good bye to me. Maybe if he spent that time taking care of me. I wouldn't be writing this. Today, I stopped in and asked if they would check my tire pressure and fluids because I'm headed out on a road trip. I'm not gonna lie I have mixed reviews about this place. But it all starts off with the very first one that I was at I waited 45 minutes to get an oil change. When I pulled up to the bay to be the next person the kid walked out and told me the manager just quit. And he said I'm just a trainee and so is the other guy I don't even know how to put him the paperwork to charge you. He was very apologetic. And I understand that but the thing is I wasted almost 1 hour to not get an oil change. The next day I went to another one I was in and out within 45 minutes great experience great people great product so that's the only reason I'm going to three stars is because at one place it sucked at the other place it was great. Very well worth it. I am one of those people who insists on doing things myself but I don't like doing oil changes. No matter how careful and clever I try to be inevitably when I take out the drain plug it falls into the container or I get oil on my hands then my clothes. Plus new cars are so low now can't crawl under so easy anymore. read more

The manager (Chris) and assistant manager (Tristan) were amazing! Made me feel really comfortable and for me that's so important. Other times when I've gone to get an oil change, the guys are usually pushy and over selling and here they gave me information about why and when certain things need to be replaced and let me make my own decisions. All the bays were full and a long line behind me and they did an amazing job at managing everyone and still having a great attitude even in 95 degree heat. 10/10 recommend coming here! read more

My daughter got her oil changed here before coming up to Atlanta to visit when she got to Atlanta there was oil leaking under the car we had to take it to the dealer the plastic housing that holds the oil filter had been cracked since they're the only people to have worked on the car that's the only way it could have gotten cracked unfortunately since we were in Atlanta there was no way to contact them however the repair Bill ended up to be 2,800 between the 1600 quote to replace the plastic part that got broken plus other things to the car I don't think I would ever go back there. Her Jeep was made by Chrysler and apparently all Chryslers use the same plastic housing to hold the oil filter which is insane. Before taking your car in for any oil change you better know if it has a plastic housing because of the plastic housing brakes I doubt the oil change place is going to spend that kind of money to replace it. I hate to say go to the dealer but go to the dealer. read more

My techs, Treco and Billy, were professional, precise, and even seemed to be having fun as they checked all the fluids in my vehicle, air in my tires and changed the oil. I was in and out quickly, they suggested a cheaper oil than I originally asked for, offered me a free cold bottle of water, free clip in air fresheners, and free top off on all of my fluids (including oil) until my next oil change. I never thought I would say that I had a "great oil change experience", but that is exactly what happened. They won me over as a customer and I have definitely spread the word to my friends. If there is only one criticism it is that it is a new building, so it's not on Google maps, etc.. Finding the entrance on the side road between Subway and WalMart was a little tricky, but worth the hastle. read more

I had my oil changed here, got home to find it leaking, brought it back where upon they said there's nothing wrong. When home it leaked, this time I brought the news paper that leaked on. Again they won't help with the situation. Very rude, DM won't call back company won't call back. Really bad service. read more

Turns out I had a bigger issue from my previous change and was referred to a dealer. He took his time cleaning the engine to try to figure out what the issue was, I never felt rushed.
