I was greeted by Josephine who was so nice and very knowledgeable. They called me right away to tell me what was wrong. Brian was able to get the part and installed it in one day. They will be servicing all my vehicles in the future. 5+ service read more

Great place for repairs. They are fair friendly and accommodating. I had what I thought was a major problem, and they didn't take advantage of me being a senior citizen. read more

I truly appreciate promptness of getting a person, when I called to inquire about a transmission fluid exchange job. Brian contacted me and let me know the price and how long it will take for the job to get done. I dropped off the car in the morning and was finished by noon. Thank you very much! I will definitely come back and recommend this place! read more

Can't say enough good things about the guys at RJ. My truck died unexpectedly while driving the other day so I had it towed here based on google reviews. Within a day they diagnosed the problem, ordered parts, and fixed it. Price seemed fair and they felt like a really honest crew. Will return for any future issues. read more

I write this review with senior women in mind. I highly recommend RJ AUTOMOTIVE on Seminole and 122nd in largo. I have an 1999 toyota and the car would shake on stopping and the check engine light flashed continuously. I was afraid to drive very far and was afraid I could not afford to fix whatever was wrong. I pulled in and was greeted by the owner, a woman sr. She was so kind that she let me leave my car and drove me home. The next morning as promised at 10am Brian the mechanic that worked on my car called me and told me the car was running and riding smooth. It needed spark plugs and for all the service of examining the car and replacing the spark plugs it cost with tax under $125. I never had this type of service. Several mechanics in the shop and I knew the mechanic that worked on my car! He called me personally. So please check this place out! So happy to share this review with you. read more

The lady at the front desk is very nice but the mechanics don't know what they are doing. They charge you thousands to chase their tail while they take shots in the dark at diagnosis. It's seems they always replace something that doesn't fix my issue and then when I take the car back in. They diagnose and re-charge me for another fix. Not worth the headache. Take your business elsewhere. You won't regret it. read more

When you find an auto repair shop that treats its customers with respect, honesty and professionalism, you want the world to know; Or, more importantly, your neighbors and friends and family who you really want to have a good experience when they are going thru the stress of car issues. Thank you to the team at RJ Automotive for getting me back on the road quickly and treating me with such kindness when I had to have my car towed there from the middle of I275!! read more

I have been on the hunt the last 2 years looking for a mechanic. I ran across R J Automotive on Yelp and read all the great reviews. The owner and staff are wonderful! They fixed my vehicle and provided great service along the way. Provided me updates so I knew what was going on. I am so happy to now say I have a mechanic I can trust! read more

First time visiting R J Automotive after reading positive and good reviews online. Absolutely pleased with the experience!! I was greeted by the Owner, a very pleasant lady. The Mechanics were polite and professional. Cost, very reasonable. I will continue to use their services and will recommend to friends and acquaintances. read more

AC broke in our car a few weeks ago. I called and they were able to take a look pretty quickly. The compressor was bad and needed to be replaced (my car is a 2008). R J's got us back on the road with cold air quickly. Always gotten friendly service here. read more

After driving my college sons car from Minnesota it started making a weird noise. RJ's was very busy, but after I explained I was on a time crunch as I was flying back to Minnesota and wanted to make sure my son had a safe car to drive before I left, they got me in quicker than I hoped. They were friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Will be back with any needs my do sons car. read more

I brought my car here because my front headlight went out. I was greeted by Nick, who runs the place. They replaced the light bulb, did an oil change and tire rotation in a really quick manner. I even had them take a look at a part of the exhaust system because numerous places told me I needed to replace my catalytic converter. Not only did RJ Auto give me the right diagnosis, but they took me in to the shop and showed me exactly what they were talking about. In a day and age where finding a trustworthy and hardworking mechanic, I can honestly say I was thoroughly impressed with Nick and his crew at RJ Auto. They were kind, efficient and they're able to accommodate your every last need. Heck, he offered me his own personal car while they worked on mine if I needed to do something urgent. That's just like my mechanic from back home but he's known me for 15+ years. Nick offered the first time I stepped foot into his shop! For all of these reasons, and so much more, I definitely recommend RJ Auto and I'll continue to take my car there. Until they mess something up read more

RJ Auto is a good place to bring your car. My Sonata had the passenger floor soaked with water. I googled it and found that my air conditioner unit had its hose plugged up and the condensed water ran on the passenger floor. You-tube videos showed that blowing compressed air would break the clog. I called Nick at lunchtime and explained the issue. He said to bring the car in before 5. I did and it was put up on the lift, compressed air blown in the AC hose and it immediately dripped a lot of water for ~5 minutes. Problemo fixed! Recommend coming here. read more

R J Automotive is highly recommended. The positive reviews are exactly that. After discovering an immediate need for vehicle repair, I researched Yelp for suggestions. This repair shop was not only the closest, had the best reviews but was quick to take the call and get my vehicle in the shop for a diagnosis and repair. Not only did they exceed my customer service expectation and prove affordability my 2004 Honda with 210,000 miles is running excellent in addition to getting better fuel mileage. Thank you again R J Automotive. read more

Where to start, do you want your car fixed? Well these are the guys that are going to get it done and done right and correctly. My truck broke down, and i needed help. I am a bit of a hand man, tried to fix it but alas i needed the Pros. Nic and his team got it done. Now we have all run into issues, and mine was a doozy of one, we thought it was one issue and there was a problem there but little did we know what that first issue cause a few others. Now working on anything is a process of elimination, these guys knew where to look and in the correct order, mine was an extremely tough case, it was something that is damn near impossible to happen. But it did and these guys fixed it. I guess when it boils down do you trust the people who are working on your car, well i can tell you that these guys are going to shoot you straight, explaining what happened, how it happened, what they did to fix it, then show you the parts they replaced (something i love). Go to RJ's. They will take care of you like family. read more

No nonsense, in and out place. Zero frills means no checking your fluids with an oil change or checking your brakes, but it also means no unnecessary upcharging or additional sales. The waiting room is open so it's very hot and all the car smells are there too, so comfort is definitely not a priority. Since I have small kids with me, I really would rather go somewhere with a closed waiting area and AC but that doesn't take away from the quality of work they do. read more

What a great surprise to find an honest auto repair shop that's literally within a mile from me! Wasn't sure what to expect but I received an honest quote to fix my car and so I figured I would give them a try. They had my car done in two hours! I was happy to let them keep it all day but they didn't need it. Looks like I've got a great place to take my car from now on. They didn't try to sell me anything that I didn't need. Did the job right, the first time, so I definitely will be back. read more

I have been to this location twice now in a little over a year of living the area. The first time was for a turn signal replacement and it was done quickly and very reasonably priced. Today, however, I was much more concerned with awful noises coming from the front end/ wheel area of my car. I do Uber currently and this car is my life blood so I was very worried because I could not afford anything too expensive. Josefine and her team were, again, amazing. They were honest, caring and compassionate to my situation. All of those last words are important but in car repair, two of them are increasingly rare and hard to find: honest and compassionate. Moreover, they are knowledgeable and do an excellent job at a great price. Thanks for that, RJ's ! IF I have to come back, I will be coming to you ! read more

Came in with a coolant hose that had just blown and Nick helped us out right away. Knew it would be a quicker job so he had us helped immediately so we could get back on the road. Very affordable too. Even went out of their way to help us do a quick rig fix to our bumper at no charge. Thanks guys! read more

RJ saved me 50% on costs to fix my car vs Midas. And they didn't try to add on unnecessary services to bleed more money from me. He was straight-forward, honest, and efficient. He knows what he's doing, charges a fair price, and gets the job done quick. Next time my car needs work done, I'm taking it to RJ Automotive. read more

Fast, Fair and Friendly. Couldn't ask for more. Needed my brake rotors resurfaced, and they took care of it right on the spot. No up sales or extra costs, just a fair assessment of what was needed. I'll definitely go back if I have other issues with my car. read more

Amazing place FAMILY OWNED and operated over 25 years! so honest and reliable! I'm always happy with their work and they always work with me on finding the best price and never do i feel like they have been anything g but fair read more

My back passenger side tire and my spare tire had several objects stuck in them and I was in need of a quick, affordable repair. I called several tire shops in the area and was told I would have to wait over 2 hours and the starting cost would be at least $40. However, when I called RJ's, he told me he could get it done in 15 minutes for $15! I thought it was too good to be true but as soon as I pulled in to the shop RJ greeted me, checked out my tire, told me I needed to buy a new tire and recommended a great tire place right down the street in less than 15 minutes! RJ was nothing but nice and helpful the entire time! Thank you! read more

It's not easy these days to find a competent, friendly, and knowledgeable auto repair shop but RJ fits the bill. I had a problem with my car, Nick told me to bring it right in and within 5 hours my car was ready with a very reasonable price. This not my only review for RJ, but the 5 stars are the same. Go to RJ if you need your car fixed the first time. read more

True, it doesn't get better than this.... I have a 94 jeep wrangler that had been in many shops over the past year and a half. I got a hold of this garage phone number from a referral and was more pleased than can be imagined. Got in right away and they started on my problems immediately. It was diagnosed, fixed and out the next day and runs better than I ever can remember. Fair prices, clean atmosphere. The honesty really impressed me, and the owner Nick talked to me like a person and not a dumb female. I will refer to everyone and will not hesitate to call when I do need repairs! I just want to say a huge THANK YOU. One darn happy customer - been smiling ever since :-) read more

We found RJ Automotive when our van had a problem while on vacation in Indian Rocks Beach. Being away from home and not knowing anything about the repair shops in this area was stressful, but I have nothing but good things to say about RJ Automotive. The manager Shawn was totally honest about the problem and didn't tack any extras on to our repair. He diagnosed the problem quickly, made the repair within 2 hours and we didn't lose any vacation time at all. If you're away from home and have a problem with your car, I definitely recommend these guys for honesty, quality work and quick turnaround time. Thanks for the help!! read more

Brought my Yukon in for a clanking noise which I thought was the brakes. After a quick drive they found it was my U-joint. They also found I needed a new belt. They had the car fixed and ready within just a few hours including an oil change I threw in. Thanks for the quick accurate service. 4 1/2 stars. read more

Great experience with RJs. I got a quote from a dealer for rear brakes, RJs saved me a ton of money. Job was done very quickly and they are just great to work with! New to the area and so glad i now have a reputable mechanic that i can trust. For my next repair I will be going back to RJs! read more

Just called and was told they don't offer free estimates. They may be a great shop, but now I'll never know.

Don't live in the area full time so I found this shop on yelp with a 5 star rating and decided to stop in for a price quote for a tune up and oil changed we needed our our PT Cruiser. Was greeted by Shawn the manager and given a written estimate of services at a fair price. They were able to service the car right then and there and was even given a ride to and back from my condo just down the street while the service was being done! Will use again and again for any further service we might need. Highly recommended! read more

My Chrysler T & C driver window stopped working over the weekend. I found RJ, they took my van in right away the following Monday, and fixed it before lunch at what I thought was a very reasonable cost for what needed to be done. I look forward to having my cars taken care by them from now on. read more

I had a transmission flush performed and had questions on whether it was done properly. I went back in with an attitude and they walked me through the entire process and even put it back on the lift to double check. They not only did the job correctly but also kept professional composure while explaining the entire process to me while i was less than polite. they get all of these 5 stars ratings for a good reason. read more

I had a excellent experience at RJ Automotive. They diagnosed my problem which was a radiator leak and fixed it promptly for a fair price. The manager, Shawn is a straight shooter and explained everything about the problem and repair with no fluff or bs. Thanks, RJ Automotive read more

Have taken my vehicle there for a few months. Had front and rear brakes replaced on 09/11/14 - today the brakes went out already after less than 5,000 miles 11/21/14. Was told they would take care of it. I got a call 5 minutes before closing saying it was finished. When I arrived, I was presented with a $263 bill for new pads and rotors On the front. I was told it was because I ride the brakes. (I don't). He then got mad and said I was lucky that he even got the work done because his father passed away and he was supposed to be at a funeral. When I told him that if he was unable to meet an obligation, he should have been up front about it and I would have went next door to a shop that does just brakes and tire repairs. He got mad, threw the brake pads against the wall and told me to "get the f*ck out of here, I cant believe you just said that". I paid the bill, yet he refused to give me old parts back which I requested. Had to call local police, which he finally gave me the pads. The police had to go inside with him to get the rotors back. The rotors were fine. He said they were gauged beyond repair. There weren't any grooves at all. Not warped. My previous repairs were one just under a grand for brakes, ball joints and replace one brake line. And a few weeks later the brake booster went out and that was 460 dollars. read more
